she's the new marie, her whole character is that she's cute(seriously there is nothing else about her, she's just cute and quirky) and Joker will be the one to save her from some thing we don't know about yet(AKA Canon waifu). Her persona is Cinderella and her Arcana is faith.

>What the fuck is her arcana?
The faith
> Why does she look even more generic than Makoto?
Because you fags bitched about Marie's design being too OC Coldsteel

I don’t remember that card in my tarot deck

>she's the new marie, her whole character is that she's cute

but that's all female characters ever

It's from some old as fuck tarot deck

literally her whole trailer is
>haha she can't swing the bat, SO CUTE!!!!!!!
>look at her try to be sneaky and surprise joker, SO CUTE OMG!!!!!

Yes user because they are gonna reveal parts of her story arc in a 1 minute trailer reveal

>He doesn't have Faith in his tarot
I bet you're also missing The Jester, Hunger, Aeon, Eternity, The Green Man, The Wanderer, The Huntsman, all nine planet cards including Kuiper Belt, The Arcana and Aeon II.

>"I will no longer be your subservient puppet!"
And that's just one line I remember from one character trailer.
Get fucked.

So she's just not cute and quirky then?

My point is that they totally reveal sotry arc beats in character trailers.

that's from a different character trailer user

They revealed cutesy date stuff that has nothing to do with her actual arc which is tied to he new story content

She's my waife

That subservient puppet line is from Haru's trailer, user.
I used that to show off that they HAVE done this before, so there's no real reason not to do it now.
Unless...

>Today I move past myself, I'm not indebted to anyone
>I've always received help, one day I'll return the favour with my sword

They did the same with Kasumi though

What's that perk? What does it do?

How does Cinderella fit in the trickster theme?

Something about the new grappling hook

Ambush enemies from a distance

But you can already ambush them from a distance.

Ambush enemies from an even bigger distance then

Why do Yea Forumsirgins seethe so much at the thought of her?

Attached: 1558518198889.jpg (750x417, 53K)

People think that she'll be another Marie. Kasumi also has the chance to be way worse than Marie because Kasumi can't be ignored and maxing her confidant will probably be required for the true end.

Since she's not a PT she doesn't need to fit into the trickster theme

>Visconti di Modrone
Are you fucking kidding me?

Oh well, I figured it was something like this. The lack of a numbering system is kind of annoying, but Faith is basically Hierophant which I guess isn't too surprising based on the little we know of her character.

Cinderella literally tricks a Prince into marrying some peasant.

Then why does she have a mask?

Because the metaverse gives you a mask and a dress by default once you awaken your persona

The prince learns that she's a peasant before he marries her.

...So exactly like Marie?

I don’t think so. At worst I think Kashmir will be just another naive, cutesy kouhai-type who relies too much on her senpai. Innocuous at worst.

Marie was the worst kind of tsundere who wrote shitty poetry and had an obnoxious donut steal design.

The fuck do you mean, "not a PT"? She's in the fucking party, isn't she?

So if she's Faith, is there gonna be a Hope and Charity?

Technically so was Akechi.

The ultimate ruse

Didn't he join the PT for that part though?

>Playing Persona spin offs / re-releases
Enjoy your shitty flanderised characters

He joined them but he wasn't "part of them". He said he was just there for that mission and the PT never considered him a part of the group since they knew he was lying.

Based on the cutscene, it looks like only Joker and Mona are present when she awakens. Unless she replaces Ryuji as the first party member, it seems that her segment of the game is separate from the main game, so the others won't be present in the same party as her for a while.

>Using Tvtropes terms
user I...

That's what I get for being a speedreader I guess

Marie, in P4G, was in a self contained bubble that was her social link for most of the game until the new content. The main story in P5R is acutally being rewritten to include Kasumi which is a pretty big change from Marie.

She doesn't fit into the trickster theme but from memory Cinderellas step family gaslit her heaps and made her be their slave, which does fit in with the rest of the phantom thieves just not superficially

From where is it being re-written? We know you hit the same palaces in the same order with the events happening in the same way while Kasumi appears at most in a new area of the city. For all we know, that could be the only place she appears in the party and her presence could be entirely tied to there.

Hopefully Atlus will have learned from Marie and Kasumi won't be as shit.
But she's still shit compared to the hot (cold) piece of ass that is Jack Frost. God fucking damn I want to shove my icicle up his ass.

Used a disguise and lied while going against her matriarchs wishes I guess.

We'll only be able to tell once it drops in Japan but I'm pretty sure she will be written into the story from the start but not really feature in it kind of like akechi, it's implied joker doesnt pretend to be dead for that month or so which means honestly the story could go anywhere or she could be recruited as late as then. That means the whole flashback first half of the game could be very different if that's the case.

Or it could mean that everything after the flashback changes since redoing that would mean redoing the entire framing device of the game as well as Sae's slink.
Kasumi will, more than likely, have zero impact on the plot outside of her social link and the extra area since we haven't seen her hanging out with the other PT and she only has 5 link nodes, she sorta just exists in the city seperate from everyone except Joker similar to how nobody ever talked about Marie except for in her social links.

People are way too mad about the poetry. It would've been one thing if she proudly showed it to you, but she was embarrassed about it and Margaret was just fucking with her.

Playing Golden improved my opinion of Marie a good deal. I put her around the middle now.
Tied with that slut Rise

What's it called?

Yeah I agree, it's the entire framing device of the game and it -seems- to be different, although in the start of one of the new trailers you can hear aketchi shouting at the protag which implies the interrogation does actually happen so idk. If she's in the party that makes her different to Marie though because the rest of the thieves will have to interact with her

They'll probably interact with her, but only in the extra area which will probably have its own plot line that Kasumi will be tied to. Consider that we've seen a good few scenes of all the other characters hanging out in the R trailers and Kasumi hasn't been in one group shot. This, to me, paints the picture that her scenes are generally removed from the rest of the party save Morgana.

>to me, paints the picture that her scenes are generally removed from the rest of the party save Morgana.
You can actually see her hanging out with the rest of the PT during new year so she will not be excluded of all the scenes

Maybe not all, but New Years is a day we know takes place AFTER the main game, IE in content that is entirely after the story we already have and thus entirely open to Kasumi's presence. It'll probably just be more Marie-style stuff where she comes along if you did her link.

That's true, she definitely gets her persona in an area separate from what we've seen so far and with only joker and Mona present, but thats definitely plot related. There's other weird shit like mona becoming human and futabas mum in leblanc too. It's either a smokescreen to resell the game full price with two new supports, an extra month and three new mini games now that it's been marketed properly or it'll be goty I guess

Considering P5 ends with Yusuke literally saying "This all feels like a dream..." I wouldn't be surprised to see more invasive elements of the Holy Grail making a presence in the extra three months in the form of granting each individual member of the PT their greatest desire, such as Wakaba being alive or becoming human.

There is no trickster theme, people invented that after the fact even though some of the Personas don't fit as it is. Cinderella fits the themes of the game, being a character oppressed by a societal authority figure (family) and prevented from achieving her true potential.

There is explicitly a trickster theme in every ultimate Persona you mong.

First off Cinderella isn't an ultimate, second off you're wrong.

How the fuck am I wrong? Every ultimate Persona has a famed history as a trickster diety.

Isn't Joker in jail by then?

Two of them are gods of war whose most "trickster" act was Anat beating the shit out of Mot to get her husband back. Astarte isn't a trickster at all. Mercurius is the messenger of the gods, god of commerce, and psychopomp. Like maybe half of them are actual tricksters, unless you bend the definition of "trickster" so badly it's practically useless.

Not in P5R

Pretty sure only the Monkey King among the PTs ultimate personae counts as a trickster.

You mean like bending it to be righteous crusaders of justice instead of, you know, actual fucking thieves?

IIRC, the only other point in vanilla P5 where your party is only Joker and Mona is when you're gathering intel in Shido's Palace on how to get into the main hall. But Kasumi is shown in the Casino, so that's unlikely. On the other hand, the Casino never collapses.

This
>Cinderella doesn't fit
>Fucking Necronomicon does

I know what you mean, but there's something about Kasumi's design that sells CUTE on a whole new level above the existing female party members.
Even I find her pretty cute, and I'm usually apathetic towards the new girls that Atlus likes to shove into their re-releases.

How does their use in P5 have any bearing on these historical mythological characters?
>make a good guy party member in a persona game
>persona: hitler
>but he's still a good guy
>TRICKSTERED!

Mary sue

Hitler did the greatest magic trick of all time when he made all those people disappear.

>Captain Kidd was an officially licensed naval officer and privateer, not a real pirate, who just made the wrong guy mad
>Johanna ascended to the papacy entirely through her own legitimate merit with the only "trickery" being hiding her gender, which makes her as much a trickster as Naoto
>Robin Hood fought in the name of the true king and was exonerated when Richard returned
>Necronomicon is a book
>people still think a woman denied her true potential due to family figures (which is the exact same storyline as three of the playable cast and multiple confidants) doesn't fit

>Necronomicon is a book
A book of filthy pagan tricks!

No u

Pretty sure Mercurius is also the god of thieves.

Marie Rose thread?

Futaba is very P4, she faces her own shadow and her persona is related to revealing the truth.

A-user..

>which makes her as much a trickster as Naoto
Maybe because the English voice acting gives it away, but I thought it was really obvious that Naoto wasn't a dude, and that everyone in P4 was just kinda clueless.

>Why does she look even more generic than Makoto?
I hope your mother dies in her sleep

Problem is in the west, male characters are usually voiced by men, whereas in Japan, it's not unusual for women to voice male characters. In the west, you often have characters who should be 10-year-olds sound like they're 20.

I feel like they designed her to be a playable femc but gave up halfway.
