Chosen Undead would be a really interesting character to create for smash because his moveset would be more inspired by the mechanics of Dark Souls than his characterization.

We need Scorpion. Smash Bros. has Ryu and Ken, and Street Fighter has always been the Yin to Mortal Kombat's Yang, both being the two most iconic fighting games ever. Scorpion can totally be done without gore everywhere. If they were to focus on his fire and teleportation attacks... Hell, the characters are so far from the screen they can even have his spear stab into someone's chest as long as there's no splash of blood and the animation goes by quick enough. Just imagine the Smash Announcer shouting "FINISH HIM!" when Scorpion activates his Final Smash.

Most realistically, the final two pics are probably Doomguy/Doomslayer and a final Japanese IP titan (more than likely someone more new than old). If you were to grab one of the biggest FPS pillars in history, you'd represent it with Doomguy. We also pretty much have every historic Japanese legend represented here, and I can only see them choosing someone from a more recent title. What it would be, I have no idea. Odds are it's also probably going to be Jibanyan or some other iconic face to appeal en masse to Japs.

As I stated, Jibanyan is presently gunning for fucking Pikachu in terms of popularity in Japan. It's a growing new IP that's managed to even sink its claws into the Western new generation. It'd be an extremely easy pick, but Sakurai doesn't seem to be a big fan of his easy picks.

If we're going for more spectacle and surprise, Travis Touchdown, Dante, or some other Action Game face who is active in the present would be an exceptional pick, because it'd be extremely showy and flashy. If we're going for more nationalistic "East Rep VS West Rep" like we got with the last announcement, I'd put the smart money on Goemon, and the shocker money on Kiryu Kazuma (with some port's announcement). I'd mostly say that the odds are significantly higher that it'll be someone new than someone old, but we'll simply have to see.
