Spending $3500 and building a pc

okay Yea Forums tired of playing vidya on my shitty fagtop I have some extra cash laying around and im willing to spend $3500 give or take a few extra bucks on the rig alone excluding the monitor, mouse, keyboard and other shit. What should I be going for? May the great technical minds of Yea Forums come forth and lay out the parts required for a good machine in the price range

Forget about SLI, it's garbage. Also wait for zen2 on 7/7.

go to /g/

You only need around 2k.
Wait for ryzen 3000 to come out.

>spend 15 bucks on a keyboard and mouse
>1500 bucks for a 120fps 1440p monitor and a killer rig

Don't listen to these dorks Zen 2 is gonna blow chunks, 16core is total overkill in 2019 by the time 16 cores is needed much better ones will be around, and x570 boards are gonna be overpriced. AMD Said Zen 2 is within 1-2% of Intel IPC, what they haven't mentioned yet is the fact that Intel will still clock higher vs Zen 2 thus will still be better for gaming tho a 12core will wipe it in cinebench. Get a 9700K overclock the snot out of it to 5.1ghz, get a 2080ti, OC it to 2ghz, put all that shit under hardline tubing 3.5k this will be totally affordable

Go to a brothel this is more on topic than half the threads up right now

Spend $1500 on the PC and the other $1500 on 6 month's supply of weed

6 months? What are you a nun? That's like a 1 month supply

i cant smoke user my job drug tests regularly

>$3500
>on the rig alone

I am QUITE fucking sure you don't need to spend that much just to play video games, even on the highest settings. Honestly, if you're just trying to replace a shitty laptop, you could probably spend less than $800 and be perfectly happy.

>the obligatory "wait for ______ to come out" post

Name one day in the history of creation on which people trying to build a PC weren't told to wait. You can't.

haha alright user i really dont have a clue about these things thats why i asked but im glad i did or i would have wasted some money

Ryzen 3950X
RTX 2080ti
ASRock X570 Aqua
Samsung 970 EVO 2TB NVME SSD
custom water cooling loop
nice high end case
That should be around $3k I think

>custom water cooling loop
Water cooling is a scam. I poured ice-cold water into my PC once, and it never turned on again.

if you're not going to spend more than $800 just get a PS4 pro, a PC for less than $1k is uselss

i would tell him to spend 2500 instead and save 1k to upgrade to 3080ti

i meant 4080ti

oh hey some stoners on Yea Forums what do you think of this pipe I made

Attached: IMG_20190401_190953_613.jpg (805x805, 32K)

You're basically looking at all top-end with that budget.
and
is right, you dont need to spend much more than 2k to get 95th% specs.

This is literally untrue but okay.

i think 1k-2.5k is the cozy spot IMO but i haven't had a good computer in like 6 years now

Attached: IMG_20190401_190953_615.jpg (1080x1080, 92K)

Awful, just awful. Perhaps the worst I've seen.

You realize you can build like a 300$ PC that beats the PS4 pro right? And 800$ PC would have a RTX 2060 in it and that shits all other the Xbox One X let alone the PS4 Pro. Please don't trick people into your console war (:

I like the raised carb on it

this one has a lot of silver fume

thanks man its something i like to do, its almost more satisfying than pushing a bowl in and most artists around here don't want to invest the time to do it

Attached: 20190307_124742.jpg (1120x2016, 261K)

what about all those games that are better on kb+m? what about having more than 30 fps? what if he prefers xbox pad or something else for his controller games? what if he wants to have 2+ monitors to have his porn/netflix/musicplaylists on? What if he wants to shitpost on Yea Forums? What if he wants to do anything but game or netflix on it? what if he wants to pirate games for free or to try them out before purchase? what if he wants to emulate? record music or edit videos? doesnt want to get cucked to play online? what if his monitor has displayport? what if u want to take screenshots and edit them within 1 second? what if wanting to stream with more customization on the settings? choice of voicechat program?

This shit looks like a dildo.

If you are seriousy going to sepnt that amouound dude and have never put oe together by yourself before, I SERIOUSLY recommend having a company life having PUGET build it to you specifications. How old are you man?
About 5 years ago, it took me losing fucking 3 fucking $800 and 5 i-9s between $1,400 and $1,800 before I finally gave up and let puget do it for me. Then, oer the years, I read more and more, pegan with rasberry pi and got bigger from there.
But really mate-- DO NOT-- repeat, no matter wht assholes on here tell you-- DO NOT just into a $3,500+ project alone and with no insurance. Asking for disaster...

HEre is the link to what you need dude:

>more than 16gb for vidya

you can barely write, why did you think you would be able to build a pc?

Listen to this guy, Logical Increments is based, figure out what tier of comp you want from there and then use pcpartpicker to find the best deals. Than either educate yourself from youtube videos on how to put it together (its not that hard, i spent maybe 10 hours on yt and tomshardware guides) or take all the parts to a local pc shop and pay them a hundred bucks to put it together for you.

>spending more than 800 quid on hardware that is outdated faster than anything
Mental to be honest. You are better off spending the rest of your money on a good screen, table, chair, stereo sound system and whatever else you want.

Attached: what is this rattle in here.jpg (465x498, 54K)

granted, I'm a asshole myself for listening to both people on here and books "it's just like putting together loges!" NO, it most certainly fucking is not. Granted, I was an asshole, but don'tlisten to the asshole on here trying to get you to piss away you shekels.
I'm not specifically shillling for Puget, either, there's an even better one in London that is slightly more expensive but fucking faster.

Understand, you're going to be paying through the fucking balls with along with that you get a 3-5 yr warrantly (they apparently have technicians locaed in ever major city on earth) and it comes fucking perfect, windows loaded and,,, it;s just fucking pefetly done.
Other option, if this sounds like too many shekels, is to just get a pre-fab gaming PC like aline ware from amazon. LEt me looj for the one fro london quickly I was telling you about since...this one is based in london, example
i've chosen is based aroung a flight simulator:

PS- NO MATTER WHAT ANY CUNT ON HERE SAYS, UNLESS IT'S THEM PUTTING UP THE $3,500-$4K, TELL THEM TO FUCK OFF. AS A LAST RESORT, GO ASK THE BOOMERS AT OVERCLOCK FOR THEIR OPINION, BUT NEVER--REPEAT, NEVER-- BLOW $4K IF YOU'VE NEVER EVEN BUILT A RVERRY PI BEFORE.

>you can barely write,
YEAH THHAT'S AFTER 11 BEERS FRIENDS I ALSO HAVE A 166 LSAT WHICH TRANSLATES TO 135 IQ...

I feel like 1200 is kind of the sweet spot. I spent 1k on my 6 yo comp and it has served me well all this time but I regret not spending the extra 200 to get a higher tier graphics card because it has held me back from being able to hit the higher frame rates I want in fps games. Beyond that I feel like it goes into hobbyist territory, although there is something to be said for future proofing. There is no reason you really ever have to fully replace your computer. If you get a nice roomy case and a top of the line motherboard you can just replace parts pretty much forever.

>135 IQ...

yeah, I bet

thanks man ill check all of these out appreciate you taking the time to post a complete build

Dude, this is the absolute stupidest time to buy a PC. We know that massively more efficient, powerful and cheaper components are coming out a month or two from now, to the point that they might be close to twice as good value for money as the best shit you can get now. This isn't a generic, "oh well, things might get cheaper eventually" thing; we know exactly how much better they are and blowing your load now amounts to an impulse buy.

Please don't do that, he is trolling you. Do the research before you even consider parts. You might as well just put your money in a dumpster and light it on fire if you follow that build. Also never use a wireless mouse unless you enjoy doubling up on using them as anal stimulators.

check out pcpartpicker recommended rigs. Pretty sure even above 1.5k is overkill

damn, that's kinda sad drinking that much tbqh

this also sounds good, thanks for the advice

>you can barely write,
Are you in America, BTW? I have a bet for you, involving 1 bitcoin which is...what now, ~$3,500??I'll take my SAT II writing, US history, Englidh literature, ACT Reading-- if ANY of them are lower than yours, I'll surrdender the entire bitcoin to you. If EVERY one of mine if higher than your own, then you give me the bit coin. Fair bet? Need a fool proof-way to do it so it can't be nigger-rigged, the bitcoin money is a sort of escrow, and the SAT.ACT scores notarized. Sound like a deal???

well ya of course im going to research the parts hes listed before making a purchase but thanks for the advice nonetheless

bros, reccomend me a nice table for my pc set up please!!

no problem. you can switch the 1tb pro to a 256gb version, that might have been too much money.
Also: you can control all the RGB with one app, which is easy and it's 4 ram sticks, so your build looks sick. The whole thing has a match aesthetic, so it'll look pretty good. People hate on rog because you pay a little more, but it's all the best quality.
This guy is a troll, he has no money and is just fucking mad that you can buy better things than him. There are more cost effecient builds with teh same i9/rtx 2080ti possible, but I assumed since you asked Yea Forums of all places that you didn't want to look at the each companies strengths and weaknesses.

and he also has no idea waht he's talking about on wireless mouses. Logitech has better than most wired mice response times. You can look it up, world champions are using it. It's very well known

>AMD Said Zen 2 is within 1-2% of Intel IPC
No they didn't they showed AMD beating Intel IPC by about 10%.
AMD Zen 2 at 4.5Ghz beats Intel Coffee Lake at 5GHz. Depending on how well Zen 2 overclocks it will be the CPU to buy for high end builds. It should overclock well judging by all the motherboard manufacturers creaming themselves about X570 boards. Whether to buy the 8, 12 or 16 core depends on which overclocks best.

BTW- every score mentioned was either 800 (for the SAT) or 36 (for the ACT reading and English) with the exception of a 790 on US History. Everything else was a perfect 800 or 36. So, I'm confident that you did NOT get 800 on the SAT II US History to make the bet...

we are talking about gaming here, and if you are honestly trying to say that AMD is better than Intel for a high end gaming rig then you are fucking retarded like most everyone on Yea Forums.
I gave the guy fair and honest advice from someone who built a high end rig also. I hate you all and i'm outta this thread.

>implying I said anything about response times.
"Ooops, tee hee sorry I went afk in the middle of that boss fight anons, my mouse batteries died."
You don't want to be that cunt user, just get a fucking wired mouse unless you are computing from your couch there is no reason not to.

You're an idiot. Pouring water on your pc was your big mistake. You're supposed to put the water in a tub then lower your PC into it so that the water is distributed evenly.

I know that the intel i-9 Core 18core creates a bottleneck even if you have... two 2080 tis SLIed together. The most expensive one you should get is between the $1,450-$1,600. As for the SLI with two 2080tis, different games react differently.
Example-- I have a PC with two Titan Vs (overclocked) that reacts a lot better to flight simulators than the same eact flight simulator to two 2080 tis with the same intel 15 core.

How about you wait for some reviews that test overclockability before giving uninformed advice?
Zen2 increased IPC by 15% and clock rates by at least 5%, giving it a combined 20% per core performance improvement over previous gen.
That's enough to put it at least on par with the 9900k both being at stock settings.
And AMD is sandbagging here. It did not apply security patches that would reduce the Intel performance and did not apply the new scheduler changes in Windows 10 that would increase AMD performance.

Attached: ryzen-3900x-gaming-benchies.jpg (1919x1440, 105K)

Even with $3,500 you really shouldn't need to spend more than $1,500 for a very good PC. Save the other $1,000+ for something else.

Something like this would be ideal for 1440p high settings 60fps+:

pcpartpicker.com/list/m79Gr6

Unironically though, water cooling is a fucking scam when you look at the price performance ratio. You can get a $30 fan and heatsink that literally keep your CPU temps the same as a $100 dollar water cooling unit provided your cases airflow and size aren't absolutely retarded.

>we are talking about gaming here, and if you are honestly trying to say that AMD is better than Intel for a high end gaming rig then you are fucking retarded like most everyone on Yea Forums.
This. It's not even close. IT's like the old days when everyone despised Apple, but then there was some legit reason for that. For high end video game PCs, Intel, Intel mother motherboards, and Intel compatible GPU are FAR fucking superior to AMD.
I saw a study the other day that most 18-35 years olds are 37% worse off than their parents were at the same age. It's probably hard for most to accept so they have to make up a lie like "AMD is better than Intel." Shit, but for very smart investment in bitcoin, netflix, and a few other companies in my early 20s I'd be the fucking same.
But no one can reasonable argue that AMD is superior to fucking intel in any way, shape or form as far as gaming PCs.

How much should I save if I want to play in 8K 240fps?

>shouldn't need to spend more than $1,500 for a very good PC.
mate-
one 2080ti -$1,400 at a minimum
an i-912 cores and abve- $1,000 plus

That's 2,400 right there. Plus case, battery (say best investment you will every make in your case is a $350 Thermalake Battery. And tht's i addition to ~$1,800 of extras.

3 billion for a time machine

this is what I just built Yea Forums, how did I do?
pcpartpicker.com/list/F6jpfH
>inb4 Zen 2
I don't care

You're really fucking bad with money, aren't you?

lol, here you go mate-- 8k, only 31 inches, and 6- fps. IS it worth it? leave you tl decide...personally, much rather get a...32 or 33 at 120 (alienware has a very good one about this size) and then save, if I can afford it when the price comes down, my 70 inch 8k for movies and kikeflix..

Buy a $1700 AMD and spend the rest on electricity

>How much should I save if I want to play in 8K 240fps?
fuck, forgot the link...

amazon.com/Dell-Ultrasharp-Technology-Compatible-UP3218K/dp/B0716BWCT9

Don't spend that kind of money now.
Next gen of consoles comes next year. Right about this time you can get the first Zen2 CPUs, but GPUs are still at the tail end of their old generation, with the first Navi being a low/mid range option and the high-end option 99% sure coming out next year. Next gen consoles are also using some sort of new SSD tech, right now you can get a good NvME 500gb for around $80-100 but the speeds mentioned (and already shown in PS5's case) are much faster than that, surely something new's about to come in the storage space. You could always Raid0 but that doubles your expenses.
Not to mention all the new X570 MOBOs coming out with Zen2 that offer PCIe 4.

We're at a transitionary period. Paying for high-end now is retarded because there'll be a SUBSTANTIAL jump in 1-2 years.

As of now buy:
-Zen2 CPU
-X570 MOBO
-Bulk storage HDD
-Monitor if you don't care about HDR (if you do don't even buy a monitor yet)
-PC case, who cares

What NOT to buy:
-No RAM (PS5/Xbone2's loading "magic" TBD)
-No SDD (same reason as above)
-No GPU

If you're THAT desperate just go for a low-range $800-900 option, it's not like PC gaming is intensive anyway. You're just going to play CS:GO and Dota Chess and you know it. Then in 2 years make a PC that will truly last.

DUDE WEED LMAO

>-Zen2 CPU
>-X570 MOBO
>-Bulk storage HDD
>-Monitor if you don't care about HDR (if you do don't even buy a monitor yet)
>-PC case, who cares
Why do you dudes on here insist on pushing AMD when not even ONE fucking high end shop that builds computers even bothers mentioning fucking AMD? Intel and its matching components are, right now far superior to anything AMD can churn out. There's no arguing with this.
At lest if people would admit: "I'm doing it to save on expenses, fine. But 99$ of people act like AMD is fucking SUPERIOR to intel, when that just isn't fucking true.

r8 my stashbox. I got bubble wrap for my pipe, spare bowl, grinder, magnifying glass for solar hits or to inspect weed, swiss army knife to trim buds, extra lighters, altoids tin with a couple types of screens, and a box for my portable vape. I can fit almost everything excluding the jar I keep my stash in and my bong obviously.

Attached: CameraZOOM-20190614020446072.jpg (2048x1532, 435K)

i've always had a PC, but what the fuck would you even get for a WHOLE $3500? holy shit. i would just get a 1000-1500 dollar build and then keep the rest

Ryzen 3600x
RTX 2080ti
32 Gb 3600 G-Skill B dies
A well ventilated case (im enjoying my phanteks enthoo pro)
750W gold seasonic power supply
2TB Cruccial MX 500
512Gb NVME drive
(put them both together as a single drive with StoreMI)
EK waterblock the shit out of it with some soft tube if you got the balls with a 420mm rad an a 240mm
steal windows and activate it using "autoKMS"
enjoy

get with the times, intel is dying and everyone knows it, dual core turbo to 5GHz overclocke with lower IPC vs a 4.4GHZ all core boost pre overclock with better 10% better IPC (effectively acting as a 4.7 boost all core at same IPC)

>-Bulk storage HDD
NO. HDDs are for external backups only. Only SSDs belong in a PC in the current year.

>but what the fuck would you even get for a WHOLE $3500?
$2k in computer and $1500 in blowjobs.

just get this, OP
neutronusa.com/prod.cfm/3035990/glb?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjsD58tHo4gIVkspkCh0Pbw5GEAkYASABEgLP1vD_BwE

Just recall on DOTR, you are going right up the lamppost right after the professors dressed in their academic robes. Maybe you can be dressed in grateful dad "stoner" tye-dye t-shorts..

Intel no longer even crosses my mind, it was literally erased from it.
But why waste money on one? Zen2 is good enough for the next half decade, as it also is the base of next-gen consoles which 100% dictate the entire industry's direction and baseline.
By how much would OP's gaming experience improve when buying a vastly overpriced high-end Intel CPU? Why not spend those extra 400-500$ on improving his monitor (say, getting a $600 monitor instead of a low range $200.) Or getting 32gb of RAm with good CL timings instead of shit ones and half the RAM? Or a pair of 1GB NvME SSD's on Raid0? Or a sophisticated loli onahole?

Just feels like going above a Zen2 is the hugest waste of money I can possibly imagine (outside of buying a high-end GPU right now that is)

Attached: 1534752972824.jpg (1000x1500, 251K)

It is not worth it you retard. Just get a mid tier pc for 1k

>Ryzen 3600x
3800x
> well ventilated case
>phanteks enthoo pro
Silverstone FT05 is a better ventilated case
>750W gold seasonic power supply
Gold is old news. 600W titanium fanless or bust. Maybe wait for the 700W fanless they announced at Computex.

>3800x
actually yeah, sorry was thinking budget still, fuck, user can go for a 3950x with his budget

4.7 GHz boost pre OC with +10% IPC over intel effectively minimum 5.1Ghz equivalent on all cores

you're still fucking delusional. Look up "made to order computers in London, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, NYC, LA, etc...." and I can promise that you won't find a single one with any fucking AMD products.

I ain't tryna smoke my weed with a dildo

single core boost is irrelevant. What matters are the boost clocks while gaming. I'd wait for reviews before believing the 16 core is actually faster than the 8 core.

How would that affect anyone's opinion?
pre-built Workstations are/were also really slow on the threadripper uptake despite being the obivous option. Corporations always take the safe side and Intel has the largest brand recognition.

You also had the majority of pre-builts coming with the shittest possible version of Windows (say, 8) but that doesn't mean you should get windows 8 when it released (or ever really).

>spend triple the amount of money on a PC that will be outdated in 4 years from now because similar hardware will be available for next to nothing.
Anyone who spends more than $2000 on their "gaming" PC is actually retarded. There's exactly 0 reason to spend more than 2 grand, unless you also wanna use it for work and you just so fucking happen to be a video editor or something of the sort. You can build a PC for

So glad I bought a 1600X 2 years ago

you only need to spend at most $1500. save the rest for future consoles with exclusives that you may like

>PS4 pro
the ps pro is a fucking meme, dont spend money on useless bullish

Why are you lying? Pretty sure this is the best build-to-order PC shop in Berlin. Lots of AMD.

Attached: Capture.png (1240x1266, 517K)

Ryzen 3950X costs way too high. Do I go with 3900,800,or 700?
I want to emulate ps2 and wii u flawlessly, and run MHW 1080p 60fps maxed

Ah yes, I want to buy a personal computer for 39.999,90 Euro, how did you know.

Retard.

>single core boost is irrelevant
no

how many threads do you think a game uses currently, im not voting for intel here but a dual core boost hyperthreaded gives 4 boosted threads, games rarely use that many. its just the fact now that AMD allcore boost rates as high as intels dual core boost.

boosting the other 28 threads on a 3950x will have little to no effect on games but its nice to have if you use your comp for things outside gaming, ie editing, simulating, or rendering

HAHA intel days are numbered

get a pentium 4, should be enough

>i9-7980XE @ 4,6 GHz + i7-9700K @ 5,0 GHz
>3x RTX Titan + 1x RTX Titan
>128 GB DDR4 RAM + 16 GB DDR4 RAM
>The vision of the Mini-ITX system arose originally from the idea of it being a secondary system that would act as a file-, media- or gaming server
>39,999.90€
Since it's on the best selling list, somebody must have actually bought one.

Attached: sipc-264_sipc_264_03_800x800.jpg (800x800, 271K)

i have alot of it laying around, havnt bought anything above 1000 in a while

ill surely take that into consideration, thanks

Buy a reasonable PC and spend the saved money on whores. Nobody cares about graphics if you can have a blowjob while playing your favorite game.

I'll take 20, thank you. *hands blacked master card*

i guess you have a point there, although i dont think ide spend it on whores

/g/ would send him right back here and call him a stupid kid.

>Why are you lying?
YOU are the lying shitbag.
1. That is not a "high end" computer shop where they design exactly to your
specifications.

2. The only "expensive" computer in that line-up (which is NOT, btw, designed for anyone in particular) is made u SOLELY of intel parts, you lying turk sack of shit..

>Go to "logical increments" website
>Order parts for one of the enthusiasts builds at $2500 because diminishing returns.
>Buy a decent computer speaker system for around 200-300.
>Try to buy a decent 4k monitor with 144hz refresh rate and 27" or more.
>Spend the rest of the money on one of the following star citizen ships: Cutlass black, Valkyrie(it's getting cargo), vanguard warden, or sabre.

Fuck all the haters, star citizen is the shit.

fuck off zoomer

I'll add get a decent case and psu don't cheap out on these it will make upgrading to a new system much easier. See so many people get the cheap psu that ends up fucking their rig.

btc is $8200
