HOLY SHIT

Watch Dogs 3 confirmed GOTY

>In an E3 demo, as I silently worked my way through an enemy complex, I realized that I could scan the bodies of the enemies I was knocking out. Along with information on who they are and what they like to do, you learn that these injured guards are taken to the hospital.

>I asked the Ubisoft employee who was walking me through the demo if I could visit them at the hospital or find out where they went next. He said "yes." So rather than moving on to a story mission, I decided to put a way point on the hospital where these guards were taken. The game makes this super easy too, as you can place a way point on any character you've scanned.

>After a short drive, I arrived at the hospital, but couldn't go inside. I instead had to hack a drone to find an external computer terminal I could interact with. To reach it I had to climb a pipe onto the roof. With a touch of a button, I was able to view all various hospital records for patients, including those of the guards I injured. I was then given the option to help or euthanize them. I chose the latter. After ending their lives, their bios on my phone were updated with red text that outlined my murderous deed.

>"That's one way to play it," the Ubisoft employee said sarcastically. I told him that I just wanted to see if I could do it, and as it turns out, you can. You can go well out of your way to finish off enemies or just be plain evil. That kind of choice is pretty damn cool.

Yea Forums doesn't care about Ubisoft games and never has. Fuck off shill.

This game is ambitious as fuck. If it turns out that it actually is good and lives up to it's potential, it'd be the first western game I'd be excited about for a long time.
If it doesn't, well, you know how Ubisoft is.

CP2077 BTFO

Bold of you assume you'd find vidya discussion here.

Gonna buy Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs Legion just to spite Yea Forums. Fuck niGGers

>WatchDogs overpromises
woah really

Have you played WD2? It's better than real life

Damn, another ambitious Watch Dogs game. Ubi will surely deliver.

No, fellow user who is most definitely not a shill, I don't know how Ubisoft is. Tell me how Ubisoft is.

No Ubisoft games are good.

>>WatchDogs overpromises
Out of curiosity, what exactly did the original Watch Dogs promise from a game design perspective but fail to deliver on? Also, what did WD2 promise but fail to deliver on? I've never gotten a straight answer.

Why would I want to go to London, even in a game?
It's a hellhole filled with disgusting people. Terrible setting.

>believing ubisoft lies.

>Ubisoft is already shilling here
ITS TOO FUCKING EARLY
I DON'T WANT TO SEE COPY PASTE THREADS ABOUT THIS GAME FOR MONTHS

Ignoring a lot of the technical downgrades, a lot of the stuff they showed off on E3s were just scripted bullshit that didn't work as well in game. I don't remember any specific features but the way everything actually ended up happening sort of blew

There was quite a big visual downgrade on PC for no reason.
It was done in order to bring the graphics more in line with the console version.
Modders actually noticed that they left some of the assets and textures in the files of the game and managed to "turn them on" a few weeks after release. (But not all)
That's one thing at least, that I remember.

Done for Watch Dogs 1, btw.
Watch Dogs 2 looked even worse than 1 to me so I never touched it.

Too bad Ubisoft can't design fun or unique gameplay

Pro immigration good, brexit bad

The fuck kinda hospital has a kill this patient button?

>you can do anyting!
yeah right ubishill cunt

there are many ways to kill someone in a hospital user

You saying an open world with a giant check list isn't fun to you?

>Modders actually noticed that they left some of the assets and textures in the files of the game and managed to "turn them on" a few weeks after release. (But not all)
Most of the features were disabled because they were broken. Removing the displacement maps on textures was likely a mistake more than anything else. The impact on performance is insignificant. I think people forget how badly WD1 was rushed. They needed a few months delay just to get the game into a working state, and even then it was a mess. They had problems like having train tracks with 90 degree turns and shit like that which they had to try and fix late in development.

So what he sent a text to a nurse that says kill this patient?

I'm sure the final build of the game will be just like the press demo.

fuck off ubishit shill, the only thing ubishit deserves is death.

Hey, the guys are just following the orders...
Havn't you heard about people having their wrong feet cut of at hospitals?
>Left foot
Oh shit, was the wrong foot.. I just did what the order in the machine told me to do.

only if its called Zelda

maybe "euthanize" means increasing the dosage of painkillers being auto-administered to the point of overdosing

Likely fucking with their meds. Painkiller drip or something like that. Remember that this is the cyberpunk future where everything is IoT.

Yea stupid shit happens sometimes but the majority of people who go to hospitals come out in better shape than they went in. I mean i could see you changing the strength of a prescription to kill someone or something. But even that would take a major oversight on the part of whoever administered the medication they are all trained to know what the lethal dose is.

>I'm sure the final build of the game will be just like the press demo.
What were the significant differences between the press demo of Watch_Dogs 2 and the final version?

It's certainly the most/first interesting game in the series, but it's still an Ubisoft third-person action game.
I've played quite enough of those to last a lifetime.

Yea, those guys should know better than to make promises they can't keep, we all know they're not like Todd, you can always count on Todd to deliver.

TELL ME LIES
TELL ME SWEET LITTLE LIES

still remember how disappointed i was with the crew. really thought it was gonna be the new need for speed

>You can do anything.

The trailer made the world look much more realised, but it was full scripted sequences.

No one played WD2 because 1 was terrible, and 2 had some terrible Borderlands annoying tier characters

Wasn't the first major trailer from a mission that is in the game, though? The one with the rat headed dude. It's slightly different in the final game, but the broad strokes are the same. Anything that was in the trailer, is in the final game. It kinda feels like people projected onto the game and then got mad that they'd misunderstood trailers.

Ubishit shilling is here it seems.

Heaps of people played WD2. It sold well enough to earn a third game.

This, WD1 was published during Ubi's "gotta go fast" era, where they were pushing games out the door months before they were really properly finished. WD2's gameplay and world are far better realized (despite some of the meh worldbuilding) and a sign that the team knows what they're doing. Legion could be pretty good if the game gets enough time in the oven.

Shill begone, you are not welcome here.
Watchdogs 1 was hated because the game was barely functional, not because it had a mission or not.
If you tried a jump at the wrong place you would get stopped by an invisible wall, or fall into the void. God forbid you actually tried to interact with the trains and not die of physics fuckery.

2 had horrible "FUCKEI TRUMBEKFBDJWKP" characters for no fucking reason and was overall BORING

The E3 demo was quite obviously scripted shit, and didn't really meaningfully showcase anything beyond character switching.
I liked some of the things in WD1 and heard some good things about WD2 gameplay-wise, but I'm not falling for it until I see unedited gameplay.

confirmed for not playing the game, most of the "fuck drumpf" characters aren't even on the protag's side

>E3
>scripted

oh, user

Someone went scene by scene and recreate the first gameplay trailer in-game and showed how absolutely none of the stuff the trailer showed actually worked in-game. I don't have a webm of it.
