Why does nobody talk about this game?

Very fun game for an unfortunately small audience. The full release is coming very soon, they should advertise it a bunch then amd get an influx of new players. Optimization is pretty good now and most issues are ironed out, jst need a handful of new monsters and bosses

but Dark Souls is "niche and hardcore" and Yea Forums won't shut up about it. What makes Hunt so different?
is it because it takes actual skill?

You can't succeed at Hunt by memorizing simple attack patterns and repeating them over and over. Hunt can be brutally difficult at times.

yeah, theres a perk which you can give ur character that lets u fan the hammer. Theres also a chain revolver with like 20 bullets that u can spray people with for the meme

yeah. thats an early level hunter perk you can get. Its lets you ruin your accuracy and look cool doing it.

That's the thing, it's BR-like. Your mission isn't to kill the other players, it's to find and kill the boss. Killing other players is secondary to your objective.

I cant kill the butcher or spider. I get hit once and end up on fire or spit with acid or something and i dont have enough time to stop it before i end up getting hit and killed again.

I honestly got spooked the first time I saw another player. I hadn't seen anyone in two games and in the third, I was approaching the butcher and suddenly BAM I'm dead.

Keep shooting until they die. Take the time when they back off to heal. Poison just pauses healing, so don't worry about it, worry about filling the fucker with lead

An elite group of players all supplied by one specific cheat developer with good, always up to date hacks is ruining the game. EAC cant do shit to this kind of thing. It can only detect shit-tier youtube cheats with crypto miner included.

Streamers usually play with cheating partners who just call out people without context from half a map away and push them or just headshot them as soon as they are in visibility.

Or some streamers just cheat themselfes lol. For example if you watch archieTV you can see that he just ignores the whole *dont be loud* part of the game and runs around killing ai controlled monsters with a gun, and then magically senses any players and just kills them in one shot. He usually has to fake his surprise because sometimes when aiming at grunts he shoots a nearby wall and lands a headshot.

I still play very often and i do like the game, but its fucked up how content producers are untouchable.

Are you referring to the console version? PC version has had FOV slider for a while now. The FOV slider can't realistically go much higher than it does already. Extremely high FOV starts causing body animation fuckery.

What even is this game? I spent an hour finding clues without running into a single player but the game said someone else found a clue so I know I wasn't alone, the timer runs out just as I finally locate the bounty so I frantically fight it alone with 2 minutes left and die. Is this a co-op game or will other players shoot me on sight?

It was my first game, it took at least 20 minutes to put my big boy pants and venture out, I also didn't really understand the spooky vision thing until the last couple minutes and tweaked settings for a bit. I thought this was a coop game like vermintide, I might refund cause I'm allergic to battle royale games.

because its still in beta and its not even being advertised yet. Tarkov has an entire year on it and its the same boat. Release soon since they are pushing it out tho.

I hope the full game will be well known and get a large player community. Hate to see this game and crytek die down... It's obvious this screams quality and passion from the devs.
But I can see why people won't like it because of the low amount of content and the hardcore nature of it.

Something that bothers me about Crytek is that they have heaps of talent working on their games, but the stories about management continue to be troubling.

Allegations include racial favoritism towards German and Turkish employees. Apparently people are promoted largely based on connections within the company instead of contributions, and this leads to people in charge who don't know what they're doing.

Crytek has been described as a company with hundreds of employees that is run as though it were made up of like 5 people. They need to clean house. They have great talent working for them, but they have persistent problems with management.

Once you realise that the absolute best way to play this is to wait for the other people to do everything, then go full retard on them you stop giving a fuck about stealth etc.

It's balance is shit for quite some time and the game direction is all over the place now.

The devs are idiots and optimization is not part of the problem.
In their effort to casualize a game which was clearly designed to be hardcore, they made high lvl weapons useless and deaths are meaningless now.

The battles are still exciting and surprise really decides who wins each combat but the game has been effectively neutered, Veteran players will know what I mean.

Of course none of this matter to new players because they still will be stomped by veteran players till they get over the game's steep learning curve.

This game is a textbook example of how not to balance your game and how you should not listen to new player's balance advice on any game.

That's why I quit. There's nothing less enjoyable than a game that rewards you for afking in trees waiting for someone else to fight the boss.
