I owned a pit bull/boxer. I raised him from puppy all the way until he was too old and had to be put down. To this day he's the best dog I've ever owned. I know pit bulls have a reputation, and maybe it was because my dog was a mixed breed, but he was the smartest and most scittish dog I've ever owned. I could teach him a trick within a couple of tries, and he never hurt a thing except lizards in my back yard. Maybe i just got lucky though. I know I'm probably never going to get another pit bull, just because i don't want to worry about training aggression out of him.

When I was 4 the neighborhood cool kid saw me playing in my front yard while walking his doberman. He took the leash off of his dog's collar because the dog was trying to get me, like standing on its rear legs and choking itself on its collar to get to me. As soon as I saw that nigger coming my way I fucking freaked out and was inside of my house in like two seconds. The time it took for me to get into my door and close it behind me is a blur but I was hyper ventilating and crying like a bitch as soon as I felt safe. I'm lucky he was on the opposite corner and that I was only a few feet away from the door otherwise I'd probably be a mauled kid and that faggot would have a clean record because he was underage and it was shitty California.
Ever since though I have been extremely weary of dogs. I loved them prior to that but that event fucked with me and now anytime a dog catches me off guard and is coming my way my flight or fight instinct kicks in.
