We had a pretty nice time late last night, playing Mario Golf and Super Monkey Ball together. Let's try it again, except this time with more knowledge on how to solve the inevitable issues.
>What do I need? Dolphin. 5.0-10472, or whatever version everyone agrees to use. Yea Forums thinks the download load link is spam, but it can be easily found with a google search. Some kinda of controller would obviously be helpful as playing GC games with a keyboard kinda sucks cock.
>Can anyone play? Yes, pretty much. Most games are fully playable with pings up to the 100s, even if there's some input delay. Recent Dolphin versions also have what's called ''Golf Mode'' which basically lets players take ''turns'' controlling the game, rather than have everyone's inputs be ''active'' at all times. This drastically reduces latency and stuttering. This works excellent for games like Mario Golf and even Super Monkey Ball, since players take turns anyway.
The picture contains a link to most, if not all GC ISOs. Zoom in at the bottom, or use the paint bucket/fill tool to change the background color. Downloads can take up to 40 minutes, so be patient.
Gonna bump to help you, but my toaster is too weak to run most GC games. Maybe Mario Party 4 on a whim? I'll try & host N64 netplay later on and give links out to get things started
James Peterson
Thanks, user. I appreciate it. I do think it's possible to netplay using N64 .wads on Dolphin. But, we'd have to work out a way to check that everyone has the same one, or I think it'll desync. Unfortunately, I only have PAL MP2, which is the Wii VC version I found.
Joseph Williams
Bumping this shit again. I want to play video games.
Let me restart my toaster. You can host a game, and we can try & play something together. I really can't guarantee it working well, but you might as well do something while waiting for others.

When are we gonna play Melee or Brawl with items on because thats fun?
Thomas Hernandez
I'd be down for either, to be honest. I don't know about Brawl, but Melee netplay has advanced to ridiculous levels and I've had smooth games with people from across the atlantic.
Leo Hall
What games do you have available?
Henry Bell
I'm down to play Melee tonight if anyone wants to.
Is it possible to play Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles this way?
Jaxson Gomez
Nice, what version are we using?
Henry Bell
There actually have been some advances made in the GBA-GC link cable tech. It IS possible to hook up VisualBoy Advance to Dolphin and have players control one screen each as if it's a GBA, but there's still ton of issues in regards to input delay and glitchiness. As for online play, technology isn't quite there yet.
I'm the only one here that actually owns a GameCube.
William Wilson
Hosting Dolphin (Faster Melee) 5.9. Melee 1.2 Don't care if we do teams, items, 1v1, whatever.
This is the host code: eaa6b43a. Go to Tools>Netplay>and enter that code in to join my room.
Jeremiah Hernandez
based, opening dolphin right now

Just came back. I have the 4 Mario Party, Mario Golf, Melee, Dream Mix TV, and Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2, although the latter 3 I never got to work through netplay in any way, and I don't seem to even be able to run Melee at 50 FPS, so I don't think it's gonna be possible. Sorry for making you wait for nothing. Hope you find some other people to play with
Josiah Richardson
I have Dream Mix TV, also bomberman
Grayson Hughes
Man, we got a 4-player MP4 round some time ago which was fucking amazing. We were playing with 50 buffer or something, so we had almost half a second of input delay. It was wild. Peach is a slut.
