Main character has friends

>main character has friends
>they exist purely for fetch quests or to wind up in danger

Why is this allowed? Also MegaMan thread.

There's been a lot of threads recently.

Everyone is really into MegaMan lately for some reason. If I wasn't always on my phone, I'd do a manga story time on Yea Forums.

At least Megaman's friends can be used as battle chips (aside from Glyde)

Also Roll.EXE is cute! CUTE!

Roll's cute, but I felt kinda disappointed she never really got to do anything.

>Mayl gets her ALicense in BN2
>this is only to excuse why you have to save Roll from YumLand
>Mayl can't beat easy ass N1 viruses despite getting that license

The anime let her do a little more but she's still generally a damsel most of the time. But I always put her battle chips in my folder because she's so cute and I love her.

Is the anime fully subbed now? I wanted to watch Axess since it looked good. I think the last episode I remember seeing was the one where Roll kept trying to help MegaMan fight FlashMan.

Lan's friends pretty much stop existing in Battle Network 4-6.

>Dex and GutsMan have a clear character arc over three games
>GutsMan becomes so strong that the third highest ranked guy in the Undernet copies his power
>he's reduced to shitter tier for the next three games and never does anything of value ever again

Remember when Glide was useful?

I don't, honestly.

Exactly

>main character has friends
Can't relate 0/10 how am I supposed to self insert into this?

>remember when the catchphrase was "transmit!" instead of "execute!"?
>remember BN1's ending where Hub just appears in Lan's room?
>remember Zero.EXE?
>remember Sean, Mamoru and Serenade?
>remember Mary and Ring.EXE?
>remember when Legend of Network was released after 6 even though "MegaMan Battle Network End" is a thing?

MegaMan appearing in Lan's room wasn't meant to be literal, I think. At least that was somewhat alluded to with Pulse In and Copybots, though.

remember this, anyone?

I wonder how that user felt when 11 was announced

Is this the Alpha Rebellion?

Mega man is retarded

I have a question for those who fully beat BN2: Is it worth grinding chips to beat the last three bosses in the WWW Area? I beat Pharaohman but the requirements for the rest are way too annoying to get, pretty much ending with a 100% chip collection to fight True Bass. I'm already kind of fed with the game, I didn't really enjoy it as much as BN1 (the Guts mode bullshit pisses me off with how it's managed, but at least I was lucky to get Elec first).

Roll is always nice to have. Decent damage and a heal that could save your life, I always have her in my folders.

Where the fuck are the games Protodude promised us

It's worth it. NapalmMan is a fun boss.

October, user.

To flip the cliche of "friendship is the true power" by making them useless as fuck. Though I vaguely remember Dex/Gutsman being useful in BN3 so there's a few exceptions

I remember when he killed his clone before the Bass fight in BN2, so that's something. It also made me realize that his attack style surely is using dash attacks since his name is, well, Glide. Shame he might as well be non-existant, hell, he doesn't even get a model in Network Transmission.

Bleh.

Star Force was a little better about that. Honestly, I don't really care about BN's characters much. They're all pretty bland.

Is there any side effects to using Dark Chips in Shanghai?

She is already pretty evil so I don't see any reason for there to be

Rude.

There we are. All the Humor programs and their companion programs, redone for easier viewing. Including a couple jokes I missed previously, with duplicates and compression artifacts removed.

>Not on porpoise, I hope.
Lan is based
also good job on the localization team for doing all this stupid pun shit. Japanese version is probably either bland small talk or shit that would never translate.

What are the chances Net Navis become real within our lifetimes?

Attached: 1516921492032.png (240x160, 7K)

We've got basic navis already in things like Alexa and Cortana.

>no mmbn collection

You can't use full synchro as long as you have a dark chip "queued". That's the only downside.

I won't be satisfied until it's possible to make them fight each other

How would that work?

>little girl is already a junkie

Attached: bowlman.png (480x320, 19K)

Like a fighting game I'd imagine, only instead of direct input you shout commands from across the room

So Mugen? Won't it just be a shitfest of broken invincible navis?

>GOD TIER
BN3/BN6

>GOOD TIER
BN2

>HIPSTER TIER
BN5

>UNBALANCED TIER
BN1

>SHIT TIER
BN4

>only game that allows you to fight Roll is the non-canon version of the worst game.
>never get to fight Glyde

>nothing happened E3
fuck that guy, getting my hopes up and all

Never finished the first game, got bored. Does the series get much better?

It does a lot. You should just skip the first game and jump onto 2 and 3

2 onward were significantly better. There were balance chances and shit to make things more mechanically interesting.

If you were going to skip any, I'd say 4/5.

>completely useless except for one obligatory scene near the end where Mega Man falls victim to cutscene-induced incompetence and they have to bail him out
Even as a kid that was kind of grating.

Back to your containment board.

You go to yours first
