No, Kumazaki already confirmed that every BWD in the series is the same character, not a a Waddle Dee with a different bandana. Plus, BWD has a (slightly) darker skin color than regular Waddle Dees.

Maybe true of Gooey and Marx, but a lot of people wanted Magolor for a while and Adeleine started catching steam during the Smash 4 ballot. They're more popular now thanks to being in newer games, true, but they definitely had fans before.
