the only things in his way are that the mii costume might be brought back whenever erdrick comes out, the fact that he's a spirit, and the fact that erdrick got in.
The first thing is probably the most real threat to his chances, the other two are just patternfagging. I'd say Geno has a really good chance still, but we really just gotta wait and see.

Still here. Have been hoping for Geno since Brawl.

Sadly, unless there's another Smash, I think his hopes are fairly low for DLC at this point (and even then I have my doubts that he'll ever be included). I'm glad Sakurai is one of the few people to acknowledge his existence in any regard, at least.

I'm mostly hoping for a SMRPG remake on the Switch at this point. I'd really love to see something like that, and I think it would be fairly popular, too. Maybe after something like that, it would be enough of a springboard for Geno/Mallow to become bigger parts of the Mario franchise.

i doubt that he's coming to ultimate unless we get more dlc, which also looks unlikely... but then again, you never know. nintendo likes to surprise, and they blew me away by putting my other most wanted, BANJO AND FUCKING KAZOOIE, in smash.
i'm so over the moon over banjo-kazooie that i'm okay with geno not making it this time. i've accepted his fate. hope they bring him back in an rpg or something, though.

People didn't realize the very special circumstances that allowed for the Ridley/Rool alliance, but it worked for them so naturally a bunch of other groups tried it. I'd be surprised if we ever saw it replicated.

I’m not even sure if there was ever an alliance between k rool and ridley, most ridley fans didn’t seem to give two shits about k rool after ridley was confirmed. It feels like it only came about after the confirmation of k rool because of the similarities between the two

I never really got his appeal. He seems like such an oddly specific character to rosterfag so hard for so long.

I'm here. His chances have decreased considerably due to the whole spirit deal, but I honestly think he still has some chances. I may just be delusional, but eh. Honestly, the roster is so good at this point that I can't complain much.

actually, he probably would have been in paper mario, given it was once the sequel to super mario rpg. maybe it would have only been a cameo or something, but he likely would have appeared as one of the star people in star haven.
