When did you grow out of Western videogames?

When did you grow out of Western videogames?

Me when they tried to focus more on realistic graphics, politics, cinematics over gameplay

I only play Japanese videogames these days, I am going to get Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled tho. Not even excited for Cyberpunk 2077

Jap games do that too desu.

Rin is worst girl and trying to shove-in your retarded fetish in other games is peak faggotry.

Pretty much. Western games are boring. Did you see Ubi on E3? They showed like 10 games and they all look the same. It's boring.

Very, very young. I got sick of replaying the same shit with updated graphics over and over, the awkward and stilted american dialogue, the obsession with hollywood trophes and how they concentrate on "cinematic experiences" more so than making gameplay fluid and fun.
Japanese games have their faults too but at least their goals are to remain as videogames and not become movies.

I didn't grow out of western games, they just became dogshit.

I haven't played anything new and western that was good in well over a decade, but I'll go back and play old releases and have a great time.

I grew out of Japanese games, not Western ones. There's only so many turn-based RPGs and action platformers I can stand in my life. I don't play any of that console-oriented "cinematic" AAA Western garbage either though, mostly just stick to indie/small studio niche stuff in genres that the mainstream has abandoned.

you can just go back to play good western game instead of fucking weeb trash

Only games I'm looking forward to are western games.

When did you grow out of regionwars? For me it is when I enjoyed a game for a long time and stopped giving a shit about what part of the world it was made in

i didnt you japanese shill

Some indie releases are still good but AAA is a dumpster fire that just won't go out

Is the next Star Wars game gonna be gud?

Not OP, but I have noticed that ever since the PS3 era of games, western stuff has been less and less interesting and fun. You do have some gems here and there but there's just so much weighing many western games down nowadays, like induced grind, and introducing microtransactions, to lessen the grind they caused. It just doesn't feel good. Still, plenty of gems here and there to find.

Give me a few jap titles worth playing mate? I'd love to get into them..

You prefer focus on gameplay over cinematics, yet you play Japanese games? Huh?

Don't know anything about it

I grew out of drawing dumb distinction based on countries of origin.
They're only there so people can pretend they're superior for consuming one form of media and not another.
I like video games in general, so I like works from both hemispheres. Cube 2 Sauerbraten is a good game, and is Ys Origin.

God-tier thighs right there

Japanese games don't push cinematics like the west does

All video games are bad user. Fill your life with meaningful pursuits instead of shallow corporate entertainment.

Would he really do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?

Except that MGS has good gameplay
