How about a Smash thread where we bat around ideas for revamping characters who need it? I'll start with Samus, who truly desperately requires one, mainly to her moveset.
Dash attack is Speed Booster, become super-fast and invincible for a brief moment as you plow through opponents
Neutral B: 0-25% charge is the Power Beam, acts like it does now 26-50% is the Wave Beam, weakest but longest range and pierces enemies and terrain with an electric effect 51-75% is Ice Beam, same range as Power Beam but freezes opponents for up to 5 seconds, no knockback 76-100% is Plasma Beam, shortest range but highest damage and knockback with fire effect, hitting the ground or wall leaves a damaging pool of plasma for a few seconds
Side B: Hold side and tap B for normal Missile Tap side and tap B for Super Missile Hold side and hold B for Seeker Missiles, move a reticle to lock onto up to 5 opponents or one opponent 5 times, missiles have enhanced homing ability
Down B: Tab down and hold B for Bomb Do above while holding a Charge Beam to drop Multi-Bombs (5 at a time) Tap down and tap B to drop a Power Bomb, explodes after a second with a wide radius and high damage but has a cooldown
Up B can be used three times in a row as the Space Jump, second jump's Screw Attack properties are cut in half, third jump has no damage or knockback.
samus is fine, just declone falcondorf and get some actual fucking other weapons for FE so we dont have 20 swordfags.

>Can't go into morph ball by crouching twice
Jacob Price
>King Dedede Down B is now the Hammer charge attack from Monster Hunter with 3 levels of charge. 1st level is uncharged, just does the normal hit with mediocre damage and knockback. 2nd level is an upward hit with a slight dash forward, does the same damage/knockback as a uncharged smash attack. 3rd level is pic related
Just add shield b moves for everyone, so many characters would be improved not just inkling

>game breaking hitbox abuses
Logan Johnson
>zelda >just as terrible as in previous games >no patch changes at all, meanwhile good characters like diddy kong get buffs >zelda mains can't have nice things.jpg
just delete her from the game and end my suffering
Gabriel Miller
down B counter fags should fucking die
Carson Gomez
First off all these should be dark samus not normal samus, normal Samuel is OG and shouldn't be messed with because if you know what ur doing she's op
>Neutral B
I like all of these. Add a color indicative of which beam you're charging on and it'd work great
>Hold side and hold B for Seeker Missiles, move a reticle to lock onto up to 5 opponents or one opponent 5 times, missiles have enhanced homing ability
That's retard tier and way too involved. I like all other additions and alterations to side special since it'd be nice to control which missle comes out
>up B can be used three times in a row as the Space Jump, second jump's Screw Attack properties are cut in half, third jump has no damage or knockback.
Unnecessary, her up B is fine.
>down B super bomb
dumb. Her down B is essentially her 'counter'/escape/dodge since she becomes extremely small and the bomb left behind is the damage counter. Her down B isn't meant to do damage, but to avoid damage and slightly damage back. You're also forgetting her smash attacks are all really strong and she has one of the better down A's in the game. She's pretty mobile for how tanks she is and how much damage she does. You have some nice ideas but also some bad ones.
Kevin Torres
According to the smash wiki Zelda's been buffed significantly.
Levi Evans
Luigi should start using the Poltergust a lot more in future games. He has 3 Luigi's Mansion games for new original moves to use to pull from now. The Suction Shot as his throw in Ultimate is nice, but they can definitely do more.
Zelda is honestly really decent in this game. Either a high low tier or low mid tier. Which is fine for a character of her archetype imo. She's so powerful that it sounds probably quite hard to balance her. I personally think she shouldn't have two lightning kicks. What if her f-air was an approaching tool? Like Ness' fair or something? That'd make her feel way smoother.
Zachary Cox
Please Lord give Sonic a new side-b
Joseph Torres
Wario definitely, some Wario Land/World moves.
Julian Myers
that new slam thing is his back throw
Blake Powell
Have Kumatora and Paula inherit Ness and Lucas' movesets and basically give Ness/Lucas an overhaul. They could probably keep all their normals but have their specials changed. It's fine that they use special moves in smash that only their friends used in the original games, but it'd be neat to see them created more faithfully.
Hunter Thompson
I know people hate boost shit but honestly, a short, quick boost move as his side b would be really cool and fitting for Sonic. Would probably be reminiscent of Bayo's after burner kick.
Jack Smith
if you mean the transition from 4 to ultimate, sure, but the changes were mostly geneneral so they don't make a big difference in the end (stuff like run/walk speed, initial dash distance, landing lag, everyone got those)
next thing is that the stuff which was actually good in 4 has been nerfed, which is really fucking retarded
this includes down tilt, less combos from dthrow, nair, which can't link for shit, last patch most characters got improved multi hits but guess what zelda got
it was fun playing zelda at the start but good players have got her figured out now so it's the same situation as in previous titles: bad neutral and footsies, next to no aerial presence, get overwhelmed by speed and disjoints
Dominic Sullivan
This. Samus has to be basic enough for literally anybody to pick up and enjoy because she's one of the first characters most people are gonna use.
Like, even if she was a totally original character with no baggage, she's a cool robot lady who likes like Iron Man.
Jaxson Torres
Been a Zelda main since Melee. She feels better than she ever has in this game and for the first time I actually don't feel held back by using her.
Jackson Brooks
yeah her fair is a problem but that is never getting fixed
you might think high-low tier is good but trust me, after pouring my heart into this character playing for what, 12 years, it is simply dissappointing
another thing for a zelda main is that her playstyle actually favors cheap and non-fundamental way of playing, so it's almost impossible to get into any 'real' character
that is not much of a concern for me as I am not a tier whore and I'm not against high tiers, but goddamn, if anime swordsmen can acomplish more then zelda ever could just by constantly short hop FAIRing, then something is wrong
Jonathan Ramirez
His side-B being interchangeable wisp powers would be dope.
Justin Mitchell
it is deffinitely the best version of her, thank god for the phantom, but the clunkiness of most of her moves, after all these years, they could have done so much better
the devs literally don't care, they keep buffing characters that are already. bee tter than her, that is what gets me
the day she gets proper buffs im gonna cum buckets
Landon Roberts
We're never getting this and it's kinda unreasonable to expect it, but I think it would be cool if instead of getting Ryu and Ken as separate fighters, you could select a shoto moveset for Ryu before the game starts, like in Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter(I think).
Maybe it's just 'cause I'm an SF fag, but I think it'd be hype to be able to use Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Dan or Gouken's moves.
That said, it is pretty autistic and I'm happy to just keep using Ken and making people RQ by playing like an annoying cunt.

>Now has a crawl to help with spacing. >Down B is now a hyper armor attack in dragon form rather than a counter. >Thigh windows
