The following numbers probably aren't accurate, but just for explaining, bear with them.
Say a slideboost gives you 2 secs of boosting, but it only took you 1.5 secs to get that boost, as well as the next boost. That means that you have earned a total of 4 seconds of boost power in only 3 seconds. At the start of the second boost, your reserved boost is now the remaining 0.5 second of the first boost + the 1.5 seconds of the new boost.
In other words, boosting multiple times stacks with whatever boost time you had left, instead of giving you only the latest boost time.
I think the accurate number for consistent drift boosting is something around 0.25 seconds per (perfect) drift boost.

He mentions that contrary to popular belief the game wasn't rushed, the game actually had a decent amount of development time, but was so messy and unfocused it turned out the way it did.

Pretty much every single track outside the bonus ones (slide coloseum and that other shitty track).
If you really really suck at the game for some reason then just go for coco park I guess. Other than that, avoid dragon mines. The best tracks in most peoples opinion are by far polar pass, n. gin labs and sewer speedway.

If you're familiar with a stack, it works like that. When you stack on your reserves, it extends the period of boost that you are holding. When you quit boosting, it will drain your reserves until you're at zero. Basically, you can keep your boost speed until your reserves are out, so continually boosting means that you canget through a straightaway with with no boosts that you might not otherwise and keep boosting.

Reserves allow you to continue boosting even in a situation where drifting is risky/not possible. Say you enter that narrow straight near the end of Hot Air Skyway as a handling character, if you drift to try to accumulate more boosts you might fall off or bump the wall with how much harder those characters turn. If you accumulated enough reserves before then though, you can just drive in a straight line, waste a bit of your reserve to make it to the next turn then start drifting to build more reserves again once it's safe. It'll be especially useful in Nitro Fueled since USF (blue flames) is now sustainable with reserves.

The model is actually pretty similar, it's just that in the original they tried to hide the low amount of polys as possible, using smooth lighting to try and make him look a lot smoother than he actually was, the remake extenuates it, with hard shadows.

the "retro" skins use flat shading which ken kutaragi specifically hated and was the reason they killed their polygon man mascot.

The PS1 uses a very basic shading method that basically just interpolates colors between vertices, low poly looks completely different with modern shading since it treats the model's faces as flat things.

Old lore had her dumping Crash for Pinstripe for no in-universe reason, she dumps Crash with just a piece of paper note and fucks off with Pinstripe, first as only a comic strip from back then but an actual game made it canon by Crash Boom Bang!. In the real world it was just a handwave to justify why Tawna basically disappeared from the series, and the reason Tawna disappeared to begin with was because Naughty Dog was getting bad looks from Vivendi due Tawna being a tad to sexual for a supposed children's game, a character based of a sex symbol like Pamella Anderson was getting too much to handle marketing towards children they believed.

That said new lore could happen since Tawna hasn't been dropped after appearing in the remaster/remake after, so maybe there's no reason to write her off like that to justify her absence from the series.

I'm in my 30's, I've just never got around to playing a Crash game. Honestly I think I might have played the demo of Crash way back in the day on the PS1, but I just didn't get into it much. I heard good things about the remake trilogy though.

Crash had a different lower poly model in CTR. I get why they didn't use it, because the model itself was part of the kart.

It uses the same animations as normal crash. All character skins use the same animations as the base character, except with podium animations. I can't really fault them for that.

It's probably intentional so people playing on Pros don't get an advantage. PC might get 60, and maybe the next-gen ports if we get them.
