You can no longer watch porn on PSVR because littlstar became a pay model.

i think i can just download 360 or 180 videos and watch them on the media player with the "watch in vr" option

That's just 2D 360, then it's better to just watch the video in 4k on your monitor.

for games yes, all the best games are on ps4 and many of those games will never be on the PC

>many of those games will never be on the PC
Everything comes to PC eventually. Whether devs/publishers want them to or not.

It was alright. I picked one up with Firewall Zero Hour and the gun controller thing. It was fun for about 20 mins and then I got headaches using it. Sent it back to Amazon and put it towards a 4K tv. Way better investment.

Can I just use the PSVR as a regular screen with my DS4? Can I play regular games that aren't VR games on it? I want to play battlefield during the daytime but it's too bright in my house to see my projector.

Also. Is this a good idea? Does it look like a big screen, if this works? Is it worth it?

That's gay. I only used the app for porn a few times because it's a hassle to find material on my PC, transfer it to USB and load it up on PS4. Plus I'm super-paranoid about masturbating in VR when someone else is in the house.

In theory this works. You just have to deal with the fucking thing on your head.

Yes, it displays as if you're viewing it on a featureless cinema screen. The downside is the raw resolution of the headset (1920x1080 being split for both eyes) is gonna make whatever game you're playing far below that resolution when actually viewed. Whether the PS4 can take advantage of this and make games run smoother I don't know.

You can do this but I don't recommend it. Even if you're OK with the headset on for extended periods of time, the resolution is terrible.

I purchased the $200 PSVR that comes with Moss and Astro Bot. For the price, it's not a bad deal and both Moss and Astro Bot are pretty fun games. I have some other VR-enabled games, Tetris Effect, Rez Infinite, and Thumper.

The two games that came with the PSVR are the games that take most advantage of the hardware. The other games I have can be played without VR.

If you've got the disposable income, I would say PSVR is worth purchasing because it seems Sony will continue to try to produce good games for it. If you're somewhat strapped for cash (if you have debts, if you sometimes have trouble paying bills) don't bother as you're not missing that much.

Besides Astrobot, Deracine, RE7, and AC7 (which may be timed exclusive), what worthwhile PSVR games are exclusives?

Oh, and Tetris Effect. Forgot that one.

Wipeout Omega Collection.

Unironically the best VR game. It's not some shitty mode they added on; EVERYTHING can be played in VR. There's also plenty of options on how the VR works to get it running comfortably.

You can play Tetris Effect without VR just fine

>Astrobot

>You can play Tetris Effect without VR just fine
No one said otherwise. You can play RE7 and AC7 without VR too.

No. I have one collecting dust for a year already. There hasn't been any good games coming out and there won't be. Oh, and the company that made the free app to watch VR videos went full jew and now you have to pay a monthly fee.

you can do this, you can also adjust the screen by 3 sizes,
which helps

Yes you can but it's terrible. You lose a lot of resolution and the image gets blurry as fuck. If you set the screen size too small it looks like ass, if you set it big you cannot see it entirely and the image looks very bad around the edges because the focus point is rather small. Curiously, I connected the visor the the WiiU and BOTW is kinda ok because the game is low res to begin with.

what exactly does littltar do that the media player in vr mode doesn't
and why is paying for the littlstar player not an option?

Unless you have a shitload of money, wait another year for the PC wireless version, which will be shitloads better than what's out now. If you travel a lot, ge tthe $110 samsung one you can hook up to the 9s and watch movies on like your own personal theatre, which is cool as fuck..

No don't bother wasting money on the PSVR, i mad the mistake of ordering one, i bought loads of VR games many were just tech demos

it hurts your eyes after a while, some games cause major motion sickness
the novelty wears off after a few goes and you will just leave it collecting dust

over all at first it was 9/10
after two weeks 5/10
now its 2/10

try out Blood & Truth, Wipeout Omega Collection, Firewall Zero Hour, Farpoint, The Persistence, No Heroes Allowed, Everybody's
Golf, RIGS, Monster of the Deep and Tetris Effect

As far as I know Ace Combat inlcudes only a bunch of missions to play in VR.

Some good games are Tethered, Wipeout and Skyrim.

Play VR videos.
Don't pay for it. They charge you for loading your own videos when it was free before.

>motion sickness
opinion discarded

>I'm a genetic failure so therefore vr is bad

>Deracine
It's shit.

Blood & Truth is apparently decent. Also, if you don't have PC VR then exclusives aren't all you should focus on.

Tethered and Skyrim VR aren't exclusive.

>Also, if you don't have PC VR then exclusives aren't all you should focus on.
The reason why I asked for exclusives is because >many of those games will never be on the PC

Oculus Quest is the better option for a similair pricepoint.
It's completely wireless, has full roomscale tracking and much more accurate hand tracking than the motion controllers.
also:
>basically every relevant PCVR title is being ported
>moddable beatsaber
>Oculus is funding exclusives just like Sony youtube.com/watch?v=Brsr5eEAynI
>Firewall: Zero Hour devs are making an Oculus Exclusive Sci-Fi shooter

the best vr games continue to be ones that support the dualshock 4 and traditional controls, like Resident Evil 7, Astro Bot, Wipeout and Tetris Effect

PSVR sucks

have sex

Anyone playing FNAF VR? I bought it for my little brother but that shit is surprisingly intense. I like how they made the animatronics like fucking giants compared to you.

>the best vr games continue to be ones that support the dualshock 4 and traditional controls
thats something only a person who hasn't experienced good roomscale VR would say

Attached: roborecall2-quest.webm (800x800, 3M)

>for my little brother
stop larping,
no one cares that you like FNAF VR
you really don't need to be embarrassed. this is a vr thread, we all have bought random ass games looking for anything that might have been interesting and overlooked
it's a fun vr game, I agree

thats literally no different than watching porn from that littlstar app though.

>shooting a bunch of braindead targets is considered peak pc vr

Did anyone get summer lessons?

for research purposes

how can you even call that garbage a game

shooting targets with a dualshock controller in a headset isn't VR at all sonybro

Attached: pavlov2-quest.webm (800x800, 2.75M)

>stop larping
No, really. I actually bought it for my little brother. Stop assuming shit because you use VR by your lonesome, faggot.

theres no need to lie and act like an edgy tough guy.

yeah I'm sure those tech demos are a real blast after 20 minutes

>theres no need to lie
I agree, but I'm not lying.
>act like an edgy tough guy.
How am I acting like a tough guy? Did I threaten you?

They are
There is a reason nobody in the PCVR space considers the lack of tracked hand input adequate outside of racing or space sims

My advice is find someone who owns it and try it out for yourself if you can. There is NO way to know who will like it and who won't until they try it. I love it. My brother, who also plays games, put it on for a minute and said he hated it (didn't like the way it felt). My mom, who's in her 60s and NEVER plays video games and can't even handle a computer FUCKING LOVES IT. She's constantly begging me to hook it up for her. She also uses it to watch 3D IMAX movies (yes, this thing will do 3D movies and the screen will be IMAX size). I bought her 3D underwater documentaries for mother's day. Honestly, never in a million years would I have thought she would like it. She even played Rush of Blood when I'm too much of a pussy to play it (yes, it's humiliating).

But VR gaming is like going to Six Flags or Islands of Adventure. Most of the time you're not riding rides. You're walking around, waiting in line, etc. But when you finally DO get to ride a roller coaster, it's way more exciting than almost anything else. That's what VR gaming is like.

My first VR experience was Playstation Worlds and when the ball of light illuminated the hall I was in, that alone was the single most thrilling experience I've had in gaming...and that's just the game select screen. But I still only play VR about 1/4 of what I play regular games. But I can still play it for hours and it's not uncomfortable at all. But you'll find it's not something you do as much as regular gaming on a TV screen/monitor. It's gaming when you want a thrill, not really for relaxing. That's why most VR games aren't very long.

Don't know about porn, but I heard you can hook up PSVR to the computer. But I think that would be...weird. idk, it just seems like a boner killer having this thing on your head while your trying to get in the mood.

Nice. Got my bundle for $171 thanks to work discounts. It's a fucking sweet deal!

>deleting and reposting a wall of text
fuck off faggot

Built in Media Player can only play 360° video. For 180° you will need to pay Littlestar's extortion fee or hope and pray for VLC to deliver what they've been hinting.

But then you're stuck with a 72hz headset.

PSVR motion tracking is absolute fucking horseshit and the graphics are mediocre, but PS4 has some good/great VR exclusives you can't get on PC. PSVR generally sells for incredibly cheap these days so it's easy to get into

Not really, the Pavlov devs just got rejected from the store so there's literally nothing to play on it.

I recently got into PCVR and I've bought a grand total of 4 games. There's extremely little I'm interest in playing or paying more than $10 for given they're pretty shallow games

They got rejected because it doesn't meet the stable-fps requirement that Oculus set for the Quest. The devs need to work on it more, but they're better off holding on a port until there's more actual core content to the game.

Without Steam workshop, it has fuckall for maps/modes.

Not to mention CIA and sony watching you through the camera

No, as in it's never coming at all.
Same with several high profile games.

>Oculus Quest
Oculus are already building a wall around that system, Pavlov just got refused the right to port their game to it

>Pavlov not coming because Oculus chose Onward instead, despite both shooters catering to different crowds
Kek. The price of having a curated storefront.

Jesus christ RR looks bad on a mobile chip, I didn't think it would be that insufferable

yeah, good thing you can trust Facebook with all your data

if you want PSVR, jump on it now while it's still on sale
