Did anyone actually finish this? It fucking sucked.

nope. I got to the graveyard level and stopped caring
zoomers spotted
Hi Paddypoop
I'm playing right now for the first time, pretty fun but where THE FUCK ARE THE LAST 4 NOTES HOLY SHIT I'M LOOKING EVERYWHERE
No. Final phase of Grunty bugged out and couldn't beat her. I just watched the ending cutscene on YouTube and pretended I did.
Not a zoomer, I just never got BK and got DK64 years later instead. BK is a much better game than that though.
Try that doorway that leads to the blue egg room.
go deep in the metal shark place where theres a fish blowing bubbles
Aren’t there 4 notes at the bottom of the water basin? It helps if you say which notes you already got.
I replay it every couple years, one of my favorite games of all time.
Did you look...
In the end of Sandybutt's maze?
Near the door on the cliff?
In all the pyramids?
Underwater?
In the main pyramid where the water moat is?
It's been awhile I can't remember all the exact locations
Did you get the 4 at the end of the camel carpet ride where there’s a locked door you can’t enter? I’m pretty sure there’s notes there, at least.
>dont know where to go next after spooky level
>learned that i have to turn into a pumpkin
>leave the level
>go to the small small house behind the gate
>turn normal and hit switch
>turn pumpkin again and return to level
>turn back to banjo
this pissed me the fuck off
I got to the board game and lost interest. Bullshit gimmick.
gitgud, trash
missing 4 music noted in the 4 seasons level.
It literally takes like 5 minutes to complete it
Yeah, I finished Too- oh wait you mean Kazooie? That game was pretty short user.
How the fuck do I play this game? I have no Xbox consoles and N64 emulators are fucking ass. I had DK64, KI and Goldeneye growing up but Banjo Kazooie is one of the bigger Rare games I missed. A physical N64 copy is like 50 bucks and I don't wanna spend that much on a 20 year old game, any suggestions?
100% about 4 years ago. Had a great time. Only bad level is rusty bucket bay because the hell that is the engine room.
I just finished it already few hours ago at 100% again for the umpteenth time, in honor of Smash announcement. So yes, not everyone is retarted.
Not underwater, not in the main pyramid on the middle, not on Sandybutt's maze, I didn't saw any notes on any pyramid, and in front of the door there's nothing.
It must be 4 notes on the outside and I am too blind to see them or something.
Same.
Just emulate it.
I could never beat it as a kid. Not only was grunty difficult as a kid, but when i finally was getting the hang of fight the game bugged. The final cauldron stopped launching me up for some reason and i was unable to fight grunty.
In the room with the snake charmer, just follow along the walls. There are several notes you can't see because of the camera angle.
xbox is giving gamepass ultimate for a dollar during e3 week
>Get to 95 notes
>Die to one of those snakes because I forgot about it
>Have to collect all of the notes and those 5 assholes again
I've been told Tooie fixes this but holy shit what were they thinking.
did you fly on the dessert and hit the target?
it opens a door for the pyramid.
thats where i got my last notes
What about the Sphinx? I'm pretty sure there some on the carpets and at the end
Just play the XBLA version.
I got the the very last note check door and gave up to play Tooie
Yeah, it was that, thank you so much user!
this
it's even in 4k now.
poopoopeepee
bahbahbeebah
noopynoopy
lalalala
damn I wish they added more achievements to the XBLA version. I wouldn't even mind if they nuked my 200/200 on both games so I could start a new just like they did with Minecraft for the X360
>All these people playing B-K for the first time and demonstrating just how bad they are at video games and how short of attention spans they have
>the only way to have a thread is trolling
kys
name one level that is better than conker, dk64 or mario?
i wait.
Not their fault, they were born in a shitty generation where quicker and easier is glorified as better
Nigga, all of the BK levels are better than dk 64
>I like to eat shit so anyone that doesn't want to eat shit with me is an ADD zoomer
Banjo is a shit game.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHA ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?
SUCH A FUCKING NOSTALGIAFAG!!!!
Literally all of them. Even RBB.
Not him but Clankers Cavern, Freezeezy Peak, and Click Clock Wood, at the very least.
Most of top floor levels in Mario 64 are bad, most of the levels in DK64 are bad.
Zoom zoom.
Take your meds.
Despite its flaws it is a good game user, ignore the banjofags.
Fuck no I didn't. The collectathon to proceed phase was fucking awful
>muh jiggies
Faggots.
Banjo-Kazooie was a decent game. Tooie, on the other hand, was a chore to play.
I thought Tooie was the better one?
I think you're the one who's being the nostalgia fag. Every level in DK 64 feels like a b-side/scrapped leftover of BK, the levels are extremely incoherent, and there is no defining landmarks for most of them. The collectable objects are terribly misplaced and do not flow well with the level designs, and backtracking with other characters is a nightmare. Cope.
banjo kazooie is a beta test for donkey kong 64
all the levels on dk btfos banjo kazooie
the only level i kinda like is rusty bucket bay
I had no idea there were so many people who hate collecting things. With the amount of card collections, skin collections, computer parts collections, toy collections, and video game collections I see on this board, you'd think more people were into collecting, but this is not the case apparently. Hmmmmm.
For what I played so far, BK is much better than Mario 64, the levels on Mario 64 were weird, it was full of cubes with random textures or sometimes the levels felt empty because they were too big and there wasn't that much to do.
Rank the BK worlds:
Click Clock Wood
Rusty Bucket Bay
Treasure Trove Cove
Gobi's Valley
Freezeezy Peak
Bubblegloop Swamp
Mumbo's Mountain
Mad Monster Mansion
Clanker's Cavern
>backtracking with other characters is a nightmare.
This is the only legit complaint with DK64. Everything else is fine.
>fag who thought the boss quiz game was good
lmao, the factory, the dessert, the forrest, ice level
is a 100% better and has more soul than banjo kazooie
i was surprised how fucking ugly the game is
Soul
You can't put digital collectibles in your gamer den with your other overpriced gameshit
>posted a image of mad monster mansion
LMAO, thats easily the worst fucking level
It was soulless and empty compared to BK, much like Yooka Laylee.
Typical millenial attention-seeking. In my day, we collecting things for inner reward, the sense of personal accomplishment from filling out the collection and 100%ing the game.
Now it's all consumerism. Look at my stuff. Look at my cheevos. Look at my Steam profile. Outer rewards, validation from others, attention-seeking at its lowest form. Young people disgust me.
I posted an image of the level I'm right now, not an example because I have no idea how's this level yet.
where do all of you fucking freaks who dont like mad monster mansion even come from
Samefagging won't help your narrative.
now THATS some shit tier taste
Projecting much?
Every single fucking level is better than Conker ones
>mass reply to anyone hating on the game
admit it, it sucks. did you even finish it? did you just look at the first level and say
>WOW LOOK HOW PURTY!!!
>how the fuck do I play this game?
>I have no Xbox consoles
Well there's your problem
you can play it on the pc
It genuinly warms my heart to see new people playing this game for the first time ITT.
Who would have thought when it came out 20 years ago that it would still be widely loved and played in 2019?
It really has stood the test of time so far and sits comfortably alongside its fellow N64 classics.
It far supercedes alot of modern garbage, that's for sure.
Finished this and Tooie. Tooie was much much better but the first was still good.
BK1 is honestly pretty overrated
I unironically think even DK64 is better
>Who would have thought when it came out 20 years ago that it would still be widely loved and played in 2019?
Everyone did. Everyone.
It was a very good game and then a very promising franchise, so everyone believed that Banjo-Kazooie would get 6 games and a movie. That's why it was such a cold letdown when Microsoft fucked it all up and shelved it forever.
I was a stupid kid so it was too hard for me. I also found Gruntilda scary. I did spend hours pooping out eggs. I liked the noise. Guess that explains a lot now
Man, seeing it all laid out like this made me realize how many fucking collectibles this game had.
I think I know who's behind this post
haha
DK 64 kinda sucks dick. If it wasn't a Donkey Kong game no one would remember it.
No, that's Bubblegloop Swamp.
yeah im sure everyone remembers the legendary quiz game of banjo kazooie
Gruntilda Made me like losing
I beat Kazooie but dropped Tooie at the Dinosaur level.
I did finish it 4 times actually. How many times have I finished dk 64? None because I got bored at the castle.
And then there's DK64
>Did anyone actually finish this?
100%ed it numerous times
>it fucking sucked
Oh look a butthurt stevefag!
It had 3 main ones. Notes, Jiggies and Mumbo tokens. Though the real head scratchers were the side items like gold bars, worms, acorns, w/e
The rest weren't 'real' collectibles since both feathers and the eggs are just ammo for you...and as said...then there'S DK64...holy fuck does that game have collectibles...
so hows conker?
Treasure Trove Cove, Freezeezy Peak and Click Clock Wood are the best levels in the game
Prove me wrong.
I can’t. Mad Monster Mansion is also pretty great
I play it every summer, I can breeze through it 100% in under 4 hours without the quiz skip
It's a masterpiece. The funniest game of all time with some great gameplay to boot.
Literally the same trying to get 100 coin stars in SM64, stop being bad at video games.
nobody cant
Rusty Bucket Bay, Mad Monster Mansion and Treasure Trove Cove are the best 3.
It's like an 8 hour game, how hard is it to not finish even if you don't like it?
Replace TTC with RBB and I agree
they're all great though, no level sticks out as "that part" that makes you never want to replay it
>Rusty Bucket Bay
You must be kidding
I went and 100 percent it a couple of years back on emulator.
to be fair it's one of the only things that'll create a challenge and set back in the game, beat the game in like 6 hours a couple years back and coulda done it in 5 if I didn't die in Rusty Bucket with like 90 notes, but at the same time I wasn't being very careful cause I hadn't died up to that point, it's a way of keeping yourself in check
Rusty Bucket Bay was the fucking shit. Coolest soundtrack, bar none, a great aesthetic and some of the best-hidden secret areas of any level.
People only shit on it because they're too terrible at games to make it past the engine room platforming stretch reliably.
I found that out easy as a kid,
I think you are just retarded
In his defense it's the only time that Mumbo ever appears outside a level, and it's an extremely long distance compared to how far you can normally go outside of a level in a Mumbo form. if you know about the Cheato location behind Bubblegloop it's a little easier to understand that you can push Mumbofication farther in certain directions than others but beyond that it's kind of wacky.
Doubly so since you have to break the fence BEFORE you become a pumpkin for the pumpkin to even have access to where it needs to go.
I 100%d both games you shitty zoomer, you wont even get the ice key.
Even if it looks complicated on paper, you can still beat the game pretty fast even casually, you just have a lot of stuff to do, and I mean for a video game isn't that a good thing?
I remember getting ready to fight the last boss/the witch, and I had something to do so I shut it down. Come back later, turn on system, company logos appear, apparently hit the z button then the A button and my file was deleted. Sat in disbelief for a minute. Did not make a copy. Got really pissed. Start game over and about 5 minutes in I gave up and never finished the game.
pussy
>turn pumpkin again and return to level
You could just proceed back into the other parts of Grunty's lair and the transformation would run out a certain distance away from Mad Monster Mansion. Still a silly segment, I admit.
Kitchen > GameBoy > Bed
Freezeezy Peak
Treasure Trove Cove
Click Clock Wood
Gobi’s Valley
Mumbo’s Mountain
Bubblegloop Swamp
Mad Monster Mansion
Rusty Bucket Bay
Clanker’s Cavern
You had to un-pumpkin to ground slam, then re-pumpkin to exit the area, though.
youtube.com
This absolute jam would like a word with you.
You can ground slam and then turn off the game.
fuck you
I thought this part was so heartwarming. In the middle of that ghoulish level hearing the dead express their gratitude for the flowers made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Treasure Trove Cove
Freezeezy Peak
Click Clock Wood
Mad Monster Mansion
Rusty Bucket Bay
Bubblegloop Swamp
Gobi's Valley
Mumbo's Mountain
Clanker's Cavern
Bit of an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed Nuts & Bolts.
Was it as good as Kazooie and Tooie? No, I don't think so. Was it Banjo Threeie? Absolutely not. On its own, though, Nuts & Bolts is still a solid, fun game. If it had been a different title and with different characters instead of another installment in the Banjo Kazooie franchise, I think more people would have tried it and liked it.
Jesus that picture looks like a Dreamworks poster
I also really enjoyed it, but god damn the redesigns were the worst
>want to replay BK and BT
>BT still shits itself on emulators
why is n64 emulation so garbage compared to gamecube/wii
Fucking loved Rusty Bucket Bay. I don't know if it's my favorite song, because I really like Mad Monster Mansion's and Click Clock Woods' music, but Rusty Bucket Bay was a good, challenging level for me back in the day. The oily water making your oxygen deplete faster always gave me a sense of urgency and a bit of panic any time I had to swim, and looking around for the secret areas was fun. Oh, and the shark making a comeback surprised and scared the hell out of me.
The reveal had me amped up enough on Rare nostalgia to finally give Yooka-Laylee a chance, and I'm already regretting it, mostly because the first world is already just so big and empty.
I agree, I enjoyed it. But I only enjoyed it once, I don't have any desire to play through it again. I only go up to Logbox because god fuck the challenges get tedious.
Sometimes, I'd just start a new file and start collecting as many mumbo crates as possible (with the glitch where you put an object in the cart and stand on top of it and lift the cart so that you can ascend vertically), and then just turn it off and not come back to the file.
And it's the only good world, everything gets bigger and more empty. I gave up on what was probably the last world which is just a fucking flat ocean in outer space with some platforms.
God damn it. It's the same developers, how did this happen?
are you blind?
I can't wait for dilate to be the next filtered word
but then trannies like you wouldnt ever be able to share their troubles
I think you mean it was fucking difficult.
Seething tranny
Replay dk64 the levels are trash after frantic factory
I find the concept of dilating absolutely repulsive and I'm sick to god damned death of being reminded of it 10-200 times in every single thread on this board is all
A good few times over. Replaying it now since the big reveal. Just finished MMM, time for Rusty Bucket Bay to fuck me sideways.
Click clock
Rusty bucket
Mad monster mansion
The rest in no particular order
