Why do you think a lot of actual smash fans don't give that much of a shit about roster wars? Ultimate has an amazing and varied roster, I already play 15 different characters so one more being added is either going to split my focus even more or just throw the balance out of wack even more, and it honestly isn't all that great when the character is like Banjo or Bayonetta where they just come from some lackluster series that never had any significant contributions. Getting a much better stage builder was a way bigger deal.
