You buy a set of two for $100 and you redeem one voucher to get any qualifying game. Every Nintendo first part and most bug upcoming game can be exchanged for a voucher. What I did was find some deals on eshop cards on gift card reselling sights and got two $50 cards for $43 each so I essentially paid $43 for Astral chain and Daemon x Machina

After watching Taura play, yes. He fixed alot of what was missing from Nier mechanically, and threw in some doses of W101 & MGR

Which template would that be? This isn't a regular action game where you just fight waves of enemies in arena then move on to the next level. There's a city hub with sidequests, NPCs, etc. It's closer to Nier Automata than Bayonetta.

The invasion of monsters immune to conventional weaponry, the weapons used against the monsters are modified captured monsters controlled with a very large bracelet, and also character creation

I guess that's where the similarities end, because the combat actually has physics to it, and enemies know the concept of hitstun, plus the legions are a way more interesting weapons than oversized guns and swords/hammers

The world is also less fucked up, and there's the aspect of the chimeras being invisible to normal people

This, I was constantly impressed by the Treehouse gameplay because every aspect of the gameplay flows seamlessly into the next, this could have been a pass for me but now I think its going to be the next hidden gem on the Switch. It probably helps that I'm a moralfag so all the little details of policework intrigue me.

I wouldn't call it bad by any means, I enjoyed it myself. But acting like it is a masterpiece or example of "video games being art" is just fanboys being delusional.

There's not going to be any of that. This is going to be score based like most platinum games, which means that you can replay levels with all the upgrades you've unlocked. Stat scaling would completely break this kind of game as it would allow you to return to early levels and max rank them without any effort.

All they need to do is to confirm dual audio and all the money is theirs

Or be softlocked out of ever being able to max rank them because enemies would die too quickly for you to rack up points.

Yes, I kind of am actually. I don't even own a Switch and this along with a couple other titles (Xenoblade 2 and Daemon X Machina mostly) are making me consider buying one. What's holding me back in practice are those rumors that Nintendo might release and updated Switch and the fact that my backlog stretches to eternity anyway, I don't really need to buy a console to play 3+ games. I would love an updated Switch though, if I buy one then it will be very painful to go back to 720p 30FPS from 4K 60FPS on PC.
