Some big chunks of info was passed on to me through teams originating from 343's dev team (obviously, I can't specify). My source worked closely with the Multiplayer team of Halo 4 and 5
So I don't have much news about Infinite's plot, but I do have some key elements about gameplay and multiplayer.
So, about gameplay:
There's definitely merit to the idea that it's a "spiritual reboot".
The main key features about gameplay are:
-Sprint is still a thing, but it feels lighter and smoother. -Dual wielding is back. (No word on what weapons though) -ADS is entirely removed. Just the main scopes on the BR and stuff. -The AR is infact from Reach's variant, but other weapons also carry that aesthetic (plasma pistol is a lot brighter purple, and has a line across the side, like the plasma rifle) -Other weapons, such as the Storm rifle, plasma rifle, etc and most of previous games are back. -Speaking of, there's a few new weapons on each side of the spectrum. Humans now have a modified sticky detonator (The Ticker) that tracks opponents through motion tracker and drains shields. Covenant have the Needle Rifle back, but it shoots blue needles instead of purple. -The Covenant guns' aesthetics mirror very similar to that of Halo 3 and 2 Anniversary. Bright colors. -Spartan abilities are back, and its system is similar to that of Reach's (with one particularly interesting one called the Warp Mod, which creates a holographic image that imitates a player, only for the player to teleport very short distances. Can be seen though, so it's not very broken). -Finally, thrusters and ground pounds are actually still around, but they're part of the mod system.
-Ranking system like Halo 3's but as big as Reach. -Environmental damage. -Mod's and weapons are laid out the map, but other game modes (such as Dominion) can opt in for loadouts. -REQ system modified, and is no longer a card system but a "craft" system. -The game has crafting and modding. Modding isn't something I know too well about, but you can collect "layouts" of certain weapons, and you can select up to 4 layouts at a time. Progressing through building your model is actually attained through specific quests and challenges you have to do in multiplayer. -Forge is revamped, and this time you can actually select map sizes. And set either preliminary textures/biomes. -Movement speed is almost identical to Halo 2. -Jumping is faster and higher, but jumping too much can actually give input lag, which is a mechanic that discourages bunny hopping. -Armor customization is as elaborate as Halo 5's but in the same style as you've seen in the newest trailer. Color customization like Halo Online. -The beta is supposed to be for Holiday 2019, and features two maps: Knucklescrape and Hellbound. Team slayer and CTF.

Big chunks of something we're definitely passed on to you.

-FInally, the story. I don't know too much, because it's sealed pretty tight. However, what I know is:
-Osiris and Blue Team work together as a prelude to the first mission. Locke is colder in his character development, and seems more bloodthirsty, while Buck seems off by something.
-The game actually starts where "Discover Hope" starts, but instead of the Halo ring being broken, there's a fragmented Guardian right in the middle of it. The Infinity rammed through the ring, destroying it and the rest of the ship.
-The first mission is where Chief jumps out of the pelican, and sees a "Hyperbanshee" hold the pelican at a stasis effect. You grab a hold of it, and you pry the hatch open and snap the elite's neck before it reaches for his plasma rifle in his hand.
-Storm Covenant are now called Omega Covenant, of which served Cortana. They're infighting with each other, as you fight your way to the control room like in CE.
-Chief lands near the control room in the banshee, is greeted by a green monitor, and is led to Cortana, who takes harbor in the Zeta ring's control room. You shoot your way and fight through the hordes of Omega Covenant fighting each other.

-Cortana reconciles with Chief. Defeated and heartbroken, Cortana says "You know...even if I knew all of this was going to happen...I'm still so...glad that it was you, John."
-Cortana manifests herself (she looks like Halo 5 but has Halo 2A hair, looks glitchy and almost shows age), touches John's helmet by the side, and says "I missed you, you know."
-She touches the chip seen in the trailer. John stares at the blue lighting of the chip in his perspective. A long pause continues, to which he breaks the silence as "I'm sorry, Cortana." Suddenly, he closes his fist over the chip, and crushes it. A small quiet scream is heard, and is muffled through the leather of his hand.
-Chief opens his hand, and small fragments scatter all over the floor of the control room. Looking down on it, you can hear Chief breathe heavily. The monitor, present during all of this, says "You know you had to. For the good of all of us. But this isn't where it ends, forerunner. This is where it begins."
-The piano chord plays (Finish the fight like, but the chord is more somber, and hits at a harsher tone), and the screen goes black. The title card pops up. -That's the first mission. The other thing I know is that the campaign is the size of Halo 3's but they aimed to make the count higher.
That's all the information I have on Infinite. Any of these can be subjected to changes, especially as the Beta rolls out this Christmas.

That dialogue sounds like shit, but then again it is 343.
Adam Walker
This basically. The only chunks OP passed were chunks of shit.

>Sprint is still a thing, but it feels lighter and smoother. and this whole post is bait, confirmed by the first fucking sentence.
Remember when everyone kept saying that Jun would play a big part in 5?
Liam Ortiz
I'll screenshot you since if the beta is aimed for this year I only got 6 months to wait. Long short but with the story have you heard a single mutter about Mendicant Bias, I do not trust 343 with that character at all and desperately hoping he is not in game.
I wasn't able to confirm that. They showed off the demo of the first mission. Discussion about the rest of the story is rumor, so it's not known for sure.
The only thing I would tolerate is hugely tweaked thrusters and ground pound because it doesn't break anything.
Joseph Sanders
>Infinity is kill Nice. Although this makes me wonder what is the next awful ship name 343 have in mind, I'll do a safe bet and say 'UNSC Resurrection'
Brayden Rodriguez
that's concerning given how they told everyone it's taking place on zeta halo, but I'll bite the bait this doesn't sound too crazy for 343 to do.
Killing off Cortana (for reals this time guises) seems odd to do so early.

>Sprint is still a thing
dumpster fire

>Sprint is still a thing Dropped

>Sprint >abilities >REQ System it still there
I wanna believe this is probably 100% fake but knowing 343i it’s not
John Jones
>the villain from the last game dies at the start of the next one yeah that sounds like 343 alright
yaasssss queen, bonnie ross, you're doing an amazing job

>Osiris and Blue Team Sorry, but they got fired after Halo 5, this is a Chief game now.
How's it going, El Hermano?
Thomas Martinez
>I have to wait another year for Halo Infinite and Metroid Fusion's sequel, Metroid 5 Why must I always wait for my favorite sci-fi series?
Dominic Thompson
Still happy he wasn't, didn't want Reachshit in my mainline game.
Lucas Bennett
>sprint Yikes

Chief will trap Cortana in the chip and it will fix Cortana making Chief and Cortana a team again, screencap this post.
Ryder Robinson
There has literally not been one single Halo leak on Yea Forums that has ever been true since Reach's release. And even Reach's was due to Tom Morello. I have no idea why you retards continue to make these threads and how they keep getting replies.
Liam Carter
I'm still convinced that that old Halo 3 plot leak was real with the Forerunners attacking and stuff and that Bungie shuffled to re-do the story after it was leaked
Cooper Johnson
how is beta gonna work if the game will be for a console that is not out yet?
Justin Stewart
>Chief will fix cortana by fucking her FTFY
Michael Clark
This
From what I remember they were, the original plan was for Chief to meet the Forerunners in Halo 3, it never happened so 343 used the plot for Halo 4, just like Cortana was supposed to go rampant in Halo 1 but it didn't happen until Halo 5.
Easton Stewart
I prefer some bullshit to keep the interest up over no information at all
