Too many potential candidates to list. A Monster Hunter character is probably the top contender right now with it being their new most successful franchise, but maybe they'd go for overall relevance and pick a Resident Evil character, or a fan favourite like Dante.

Probably a Dark Souls character, if that could be considered a Bamco property. If not, Digimon is probably their highest priority, then a Tales character or their favourite crossover slut KOS-MOS.

Undertale is unironically probably a frontrunner if indie characters are being considered. The other indies I would have considered somewhat likely are mostly deconfirmed already.

I'll stick Porky here because his total exclusion is still weird as fuck to me. I feel like Rex & Pyra could also still potentially make the cut despite everything just because of how strangely they've been handled so far. First party characters in general don't seem likely at all at this point, but then again, we got fucking Corrin last time, so who knows.

The door's been blown wide open for western characters now, and Crash's recent revival, his Sonic-like history with Nintendo, and the fact that his games are on all platforms now makes me think he actually has a pretty good chance.
Jibanyan, because even though Yo-Kai Watch is in a decline right now, it really had a huge impact at its peak, so I can't rule it out.
Travis Touchdown is a big stretch but perhaps Nintendo will do it to help out NMH3 and Sakurai will finally grant Suda's wish.
