Lol yeah.
And in BC.

Well, it's one thing not to pay your friends or guildmates. However, why on earth would you do enchants to strangers for free (ie. at cost to yourself, due to opportunity cost of time)? Enchanting costs a lot to level up and unless you're a feral bear (Smoking Heart of the Mountain), the only concrete benefit is ability to shard your own gear. Certainly if people are in the business of enchanting stuff for free.

Of course, I've never liked the idea of tips, in WoW or otherwise. Make it a fee that was agreed upon in advance.

>tip him 1 silver and say im broke and attach the "XD" emote
>not only i payd practily nothing but made a good connection that day

from 1 to 10 how jewish is this

Elsewhere in the world people include their cut in the price instead of asking for tip.

In my experience (from what I can recall from retail vanilla/TBC, and certainly in contemporary private servers) people generally buy enchanting service providing their own materials bought from auction house - the cut would be the total cost of the service (or, supposing no fee was agreed upon, you'd be relying on tips).

About a 2.5

No one on EU servers tipped.

i was doing it for free with their mats to skill up and they also gave me gold
it's like i had chinese slaves farming for me honestly

>paying anything
>not having him pay you for the exposure

You have a lot to learn

Can't confirm, people always tipped on our server, provided they requested foelr their shit to be enchanted.

Leveling enchants>No fee/tip
Endgame and rare to find/rep grind enchants>Fee if not guildmate/friend.

Enchanting was a slave profession before vellums.

Its not a tip, its paying for the service

I was an enchanter back then and only my RL friends didn't pay for the privilege.

Always tip 1 copper until the faggots start asking for a fee instead.

You sure it was a tip, and not a fee?

You don't pay for enchants, you pay for an enchanter to do your enchant with your own materials.

"Enchanter LF work, your mats 50g fee" was very common to see up until wotlk.

yea if its free with mats why woudlnt you?

fucking zoomers

this

are euros just inconsiderate pricks?

...

in the europe enchanters get paid a living wage and don't have to rely on tipping.

>be human with free will
>choose to be a waiter
>sign a contract stating your pay every month
>receive money monthly from your employer for your services
>expect me a paying customer to pay extra for reasons
if it wasn't for me and others that eat there there would be no waiter job and no paycheck
americans get duped to pay twice lmao

No need to fake charity when employees are paid for the work they do. Euros are much more honest people in this sense too.

tipping is optional, not mandatoty

Having lurked the US forums for an embarrassing amount of years, I can indeed confirm that WoW's burger players tip for every single interaction and it's fucking hilarious

didn't you enchant items whilst in the trade interface, so essentially the enchanting didn't have to do shit until gold woulkd place in the trade with the item in do no trade.

Yes. So if you "demand" a tip, you can very easily do it. If someone tries to just tip a copper, you can very easily tell them to fuck off and not enchant until they put in the appropriate amount of money.

The people saying otherwise in this thread, has never played World of Warcraft.

In Europe. In Burgerland you're an asshole if you don't tip so the employer can make more $$$ off his waiters.

>be american enchanter
>no free heals
>no free buffs
>no free spells at trainer
>have to live off tips
>barely able to afford food and water
>get kidney shot

>be european enchanter
>free heals everywhere i go
>free buffs without even asking
>guildies trade me scrolls and potions for free
>the local mage provides me free food and water
>the rogue that was about to kidney shot me is arrested by our warrior
The only problem is all the fucking orcs, but I wasn't using my wife anyways, so who cares.

enchanting was the ultimate slave profession

Dual gatherer chad checking in. I had money to buy any enchant and gear I wanted.

LMAOOOO americans ACTUALLY did this?

>Tfw European
>Tfw Americucks DONT Pay tank fees
Like wtf?

>not allowed to talk about specific video games on the video games board
