>40 dollars for a Gameboy game & 2 SNES games
Kikellection Of Mana
Never heard of the Square Enix tax?
I bought Just Cause for 1 dollar.
More like
>$40 for one of the best SNES games finally in English.
They charged $40 for Chrono Trigger DS, two games and a new localization is generous by their standards.
And that's still a better deal than paying $60 for Cyberpunk, more boring open world shit with no gameplay.
>$60 for ENG physical when the JAP version is $40
Huh? It's 40 on SE's website.
I bought it anyway and don't really regret it, the games are fun. Never played them before so I'm having a good time.
$40 is pricey though, even if they had to localize Trials for the first time.
Just go pirate it then
People pay $60 for far worse games
>no Legend of Mana, the best game in the fucking series
it's like they don't want my money
>$40 for one of the best SNES games
Whoa... SNES games looked like this?
So $13 per game?
Based Legend-poster. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the announcement.
Legend did get me into the series though, and while the earlier entries aren't quite as unique they still have a lot of soul.
Huh? You're right. It was just Play-Asia being jews as usual.
Also HOLY FUCK do niggas love the Mana series.
rip Astral Chain
you looked cool to me
>both editions of the LA remake and Collection of Mana in the top three
Based nostalgic boomers. Also I thought Square Enix said the collection would be exclusive to their online store, but it's actually on amazon both in the US and the EU, that's nice.
That's not part of collection. That's a remake for later.
I just wish people have the Adventures remake the time of day. The visuals are cheap (just like the original), but it's a great update and fantastic companion if you ever want to replay Mana 1.
Oh right, that's a thing. I meant to get it when it came out.
Collection of Mana 2 with Legend, Evermore, and the shit games coming never .
It's a newly localized game that had lots to translate. Then you get the other games too, plus the extra content from the collection.
At a budget price.
Who knows user, looking at gives me hope.
If nothing else, if the Trials remake does well then we'll get a Legend remake. I'm sure the art won't be as good, but I think they could do a lot with the gameplay. I honestly think the game was too obtuse at times, especially with the land make system since you can easily fuck yourself over without even knowing it.
I just think that 29.99 was the optimal price point. At least digitally. It feels bad paying $40 for 3 roms
I think it's worthwhile just to play a version with non-recycled assets, analog movement, an item wheel and color. The new movement system keeps it from feeling like a straight retread, but it's still close enough that it works as an alternative for people who don't want to play the original (shame on them). It's an easy recommend in my opinion.
Secret's remake is a bit more iffy because the presentation is still cheap and the only meaningful changes are an actual translation for once (thank god) and AI that's not quite as shit (but still bad). And the OST is hit or miss, or all miss if you're super nostalgic. Also Square charged way too fucking much for it thinking the brand name would carry it alone.
I'm just glad Mana's getting a second chance and sales have been strong enough to prove it was shit games, not the brand itself being weak, that killed it a decade ago.
I'm pretty sure 2 of those 3 games in the bundle have a somewhat recent remake version made for the vita. I wonder why not go with those instead of retreating to the cave age.
Yeah, probably, but the JP price was closer to $40 and they wanna skim a bit extra to cover the extra costs for the international version.
Because the remakes were hit or miss and muh nostalgia
But now that you mention it, having both the original and remake versions would be neat. Though I guess it would be weird to have Trials' excluded only to be released full price later down the road.
>I just think that 29.99 was the optimal price point. At least digitally.
Agreed. The digital price point is fucked.
That said, for the physical release at least. People are insane to think it should have been $20 or cheaper.
Because
A. The collection was originally released just for Japan to further gauge interest and make a quick buck.
B. Secret's remake is very recent and retails at $40.
C. They wouldn't have three games on offer if they did that.
I would agree with you if the secret of Mana remake wasn't, you know, shit.
I would have bought it for 30.
If it's not the bad games & lack of localization that ruin the series then it's the price gouging.
The definition of monkey paw.
A game costing $10 more than you'd personally pay for it does not ruin it, just wait for a sale.
>expecting a new platinum IP to beat out established and very popular nintendo properties
People only complain bout the price when they wanna buy it. That's the reason why some games are this high of price. Because retards like you will end up buying it anyways
Eh, it's not too bad, Astral Chain is currently #59 on Amazon Best Sellers in the videogame category, and if you take out all the non-stricly software shit like digital store cards, consoles and amiibos, it's #20. Collection of Mana is #5.
I paid $60 for each of those games when they were new, you ungrateful belligerent whipper snapper. You little hellions get me so worked up. Nurse, get me my Vicodin and trap porn.
Thing is I may buy it as overpriced as they want me to buy it, but most people won't look at it twice & then Square Enix will just say "we tried our best, but there's just no demand for the series" & forget it ever existed again.
>Switch games going on sale
Good one. Well, it's possible since it's not a first party title I guess
Not the physical release since it seems to be a limited print, but they'll definitely put it on sale on the eShop, all Square Enix games have been.
lol holyshit is really is $40 for just roms
>averaging $13 per solid rpg
You people buy shit like Shovel Knight or Hollow Knight for the same amount.
Isn't LOM the one where you have to build the map yourself? that was incredibly lazy game design.
