40 dollars is a bit expensive but fuck it I still bought it

Is it a new translation at least

collection of mana includes 3 games right?
3 games for $40 sounds like an alright deal

Only for the third game.

>worth it for SD3 alone
This industry will never change for better with idiots like that around.

Never played em so for me it's worth it

Yeah, three smartphone ports

40$ for more than 150 hours of gaming is pretty good. Your last 70$ purchase was platinum'd in maybe 40

>resetera
dilate, basedboy

Attached: 1530175812372.jpg (960x791, 182K)

>trying to program Yea Forums into having the opinion you want them to have by shoving a resetera screencap in our face
lol

For the third game, yeah. But it's a shit translation.

>smartphone ports
It's a Game Boy rom and two SNES roms get it right faggot

Cringe

Why not have the balls to post over there and change their minds?

It's their smartphone remakes for android

>Platinum'd
Yikes zoom zoomer

> 2019
> I am forgotten

kek you have literally no idea what you're even shitposting about do you

>$40 for 25+ year old games

Attached: 1535189598242.jpg (400x400, 16K)

>Collection releases in Japan.
>People bitch and moan that we didn't get it.
>They bring it over and finally translate 3.
>"TOO EXPENSIVE FUCK YOU JEWS"
I hate you people.

When has this ever not worked? with twitter screencaps too actually.

>But it's a shit translation.
Explain.

>STOP BEING ENTITLED YOU FUCKING GAMERS

Under what category should you report garbage threads such as this

Physical release when.

Attached: 1555752320375.jpg (1280x720, 59K)

So long as it sells and funds the Legend of Mana remake, I'm cool with it.
>our
You need to go back.

Pretty sure you can order a physical copy on Square Enix's site

imagine valuing a game because of when it was released smdh

Attached: 1555751498461.jpg (500x666, 84K)

You have an argument or are you gonna keep pulling out the trannyera strawman? People have been screaming for this for years.

Yeah it's worth $40.
The emulator menu options are pretty good too

>four people constitute the opinions of an entire website
very cool

Wait a minute...is that Justin Silverman in the back?

what is the general opinion on the first game?

Just a reminder that Nintendo kept the code this whole time and gave it to Square since they lost it
>11. While the Secret of Mana remake was not on Switch, Trials of Mana is thanks to fan feedback over the lack of Mana on the console. Oyamada said that Collection of Mana was Switch-exclusive because they had to actually get the code for the games from Nintendo, meaning the Switch made sense.

It's pretty good for a Game Boy game, music is nice too. It's basically Zelda with RPG mechanics.

how the fuck does Square lose so much stuff

>collection costs $40 in JPN
>Amerifats bitch and whine how the collection is NEVER EVER leaving Japan
>collection gets Trials/3 translated for the first time in history, still costs $40
>Amerifats bitch and whine over the price even though it's exactly the same around the world
Some people never stop being retarded I see.

Who the fuck cares enough to get a non-free email acount to post about video games?

>Mana Collection is Switch only because Nintendo themselves had to give them the source code
>FFVIII Remaster only happened because someone just so happened to FINALLY find the source code on a disk while cleaning up their desk
I fear for what may happen with the SaGa series at this rate, especially Frontier and II given Square's history of not archiving their own fucking assets.

Attached: scared..jpg (783x1539, 155K)

Not him but by virtue of being a translation in the first place it's already shitty.

2 of 3 games were already translated
3rd one as well....

paying 40 bucks for 2 snes and 1 gb rom

fuck off jew

>The developers had no idea there was a cult following in the West thanks to a fan translation at first. After the project was greenlit, the developers began searching on the internet about it and found the fan translation for the first time.

>it took them over 20 years to find out there was even a fan translation of SD3 in the first place, or that there are actually fans of the Mana series
How fucking out of touch can a developer be?

Attached: complete and utter bullshit.jpg (280x280, 17K)

I seriously don't get why they didn't check for backups

Attached: 1559919821819.jpg (211x203, 15K)

It's Link's Awakening: FF Edition.
Great game. Easily better than Secret.

Why do Square overprice everything?

ResetEra already paid for your copy, user. So you don't have to feel bad if you pirate it.
Go on' it's on them!

Attached: Ah_the_yamato_now_that_was_a_good_sword.jpg (1024x576, 61K)

>check when SD3 's fanslation came out
>fucking 2000
Holy shit.

I assumed 8's deal was that they were redoing it entirely since they still don't have the source code.

Extremely. Square doesn't pay attention to gaijin. They're seriously just now realizing how big the Secret of Mana boner is.

Have you ever tried getting a job? Maybe you wouldn't have to bitch and complain about not affording things?

That is not a Seiken Densetsu game.

Our nostalgia for the game is about as old and strong as Japan's.
Wild, isn't it?

>says unemployed faggot posting on Yea Forums board

May as well be.

>art and statues last for hundreds of years and losing them is noticeable
>music can last forever, can be transferred across languages and cultures
>tv and movies have lasted a hundred years and were made in such high quality we can actually see them in far better quality now then when they original aired
>video games: lol i forgot where we put that, oh well

Holy shit, how can companies be so bad at this?

Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of not working. The bright side is I can afford things unlike you

Why does everyone want to rape Riesv?

because she isn't slut like other girl

For that price, they could have at least included Sword of Mana and online co-op functions.

I would pay $40 if it were a physical release on a cartridge.

Does this include the PS1 game as well?

There is.
store.na.square-enix-games.com/en_US/product/562426/collection-of-mana-switch

>not loading the ROMs onto a flash cart or Wii and playing on a CRT at 240p

Oh sweet. I didn't know that. Thank user.

>on a CRT at 240p
autistic zoomers leave now.

is there a reason why you keep posting about resetera

what do you win

No, and there won't be a rerelease because "haha oops we lost the source code"

How does that make someone a zoomer? SNES games were designed for CRTs

What a stupid comparison. You're comparing final products vs. development builds and assets. The final release of SD3 was never lost and putting it on newer consoles is not an issue. Any released game can be emulated on modern hardware, but you've all grown up thinking that a re-released copy of an old game is shit because "LMAO! PAYING FOR ROMS! JUST EMULATE BRO!", regardless of emulation quality, extra features, enhancements. Hell, full blown re-written games to make use of modern features such as true widescreen get shit on anyways because "Why would you pay for a remake/remaster?! Just play the original like it was meant to be played!"

That's how the games are meant to be played
And wouldn't he be a boomer? Zoomers would want to play it upscaled in 16:9 on an HDTV that has noticeable input lag.

>>tv and movies have lasted a hundred years and were made in such high quality we can actually see them in far better quality now then when they original aired

I read somewhere that at least 90% of films made in the very early days of cinema are lost because they were made with very flammable materials.

OK I never played a Seiken Densetsu game. Why should I buy this one if a remake of part 3 comes out later?

I wanna get this for trials, but I wonder if I should just wait for the remake

Attached: 1543621076053.jpg (236x243, 15K)

>it took you guys 15 minutes to post this
Man, this place really is a shithole.

It just werks.

>m2
>smartphone ports
Eat a dick

Videogames are toys for kids, the developers themselves think that.

>more than 150 hours
>the first 3 mana
You'd have play each game at a snails pace to even get to the 100 hour mark at the end of all 3.

Is $40 actually a lot of money for some people or is Yea Forums just making jokes again?

I wonder what happened to the 40% of Secret of Mana that got cut. Lost to history I suppose.

Seems overpriced but really, anyone buying this bundle would've paid 60 for it easily

Because they're still good games

>>tv and movies have lasted a hundred years and were made in such high quality we can actually see them in far better quality now then when they original aired

The only thing that improved was the home video format technology. Digital projection is still mostly scrapped compared to film thanks to a majority of chains still hanging on to first or second generation digital projectors instead of upgrading to newer technologies such as laser. Even with the advancements in home video, your statement is completely false as a majority of the content that was produced has yet to be re-released in anything but their standard definition broadcast quality. There are still a lot of movies stuck in the standard definition age because they haven't received a proper blu-ray release. Hell, the ones that do aren't always the best quality because the studio makes absolutely no effort to do a proper transfer of the original film negatives. They take the best source already easily available and slap some shitty filters on it. You end up with shitty image quality and at worst, a completely different looking movie because some straight out of film school hot shot decided that the film actually needed a blue tint across the entire film.

Did you know that it has been over 2 decades since True Lies was released? It has not received a blu-ray release. That movie is not available outside of standard definition. Predator also only just recently got a proper release with its UHD 4K release. Before that, all releases were plagued with a God awful smudge smeared across every scene to get rid of noise to an aggressive extent. And we haven't even talked about the dark age of pan and scan or cropping.

This is the board that whines about a 20 dollars a year online service
Anything beyond free is too much

>Free? These companies should be PAYING me to play their old games!

>Watch an old standard-definition TV show on Netflix or Hulu
>They fucking crop the top and bottom of the screen and remove a good 20% of the image, all because a few idiots might think the black bars on ether side of the screen means there's something wrong with their TV

I fucking HATE this shit

Just wait for remake and play the fan translation on PC, probably has accurate text as well

is this online mp or just local?

Change your mind? You are mentally ill, we don't care what you buy.
We only want you to suicide

Not a real Mana game.

Legend of Mana sucks.

its amerrican trash rpg

youtube.com/watch?v=1yaV-0EVdVs

most of it got C.Triggered

Had Secret of Mana not come out on the SNES classic I would say: "yes"
If you wanted a legit copy of all three titles.
But at that price. Nah. If you can emulate, just emulate. I might play Secret of Mana on my SNES classic at some point and just wait for Trials of Mana remake and just get that.
The remake of Mana is a bit half-baked from what I heard so I'm going to skip it.

I have a physical copy preordered.
Especially if you consider one of those games had to be translated. It wasn't just a quick and easy port.

And I say this as a guy who bought the Contra collection for £16. Contra 3 was on the SNES Classic, and Hard Corps is on the Megadrive classic I preordered, but there's still the arcade and NES stuff on there and a GB for good measure. Its decent value.
And its ported by M2. M2 stuff is so god damn good.
