What the fuck with people having troubles with him? Break the staff and that's it, Logarius himself is literally a parry whore.

He was a pain in the ass until I learned to backstab him when he plants the staff for the explosion.

If you do that you can still stagger him with regular attacks and the fight is fine.

You can parry him easy he's barely harder than Gascoigne

I hate this guy because I always go to the castle as early as possible for the wheel, and die to this guy for like an hour because of how bad my gear and stats are at this point.

Logarius is one of my favourite bosses.

Same, hit 35 deaths before realizing I had to stagger him as he's putting the staff in the ground and that made it a cake walk

I literally did not die a single time to this boss until like my 10th playthrough.

Parrying is boring and ruins the rhythm of a bossfight. You lose all appreciation for the spectacle and pacing of the battle just so your little pea-brain gets a dopamine hit from landing your bamham counter. It's disgraceful and makes hunter bosses a joke.

You're right beyond my first playthrough, actually. The first time I died to him I was trying to get the katana for a low level PvP build.

I'm fucking awful at soulsborne but somehow beat Champion Gundyr on my first try and Logarius on my 3rd after almost always beating him but fucking up at the end because I didn't understand his homing skull sword attack. It was fun :)
