Are there are any good city building games that cover the evolution of society rather than a specific time period?

anno 1800
There was some Sim City game on the DS that did that.
Urban Empire
It's shit
>taking place during the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century
I'm looking for something that covers all the revolutions.
Dawn of man covers it from stone to bronze age, it's pretty ok.
Cities Skylines is the modern city gold standard.
There's a fee ancient city games comming soon.
But there's nothing where you go from stone age to space age. This would require playing the gamr in steps, once you leave the stone age you lose control of individual pops but get to control cities from far away and so on. This wont happen because devs are lazy.
well good luck then
Tropico
Are there any good city building guides for skylines? I fucking suck at it and my cities always end up congested messes
Mods allow you to space out your city some more. You dont have to build a post Soviet commieblock hell.
Thank you very much.
I've played a ton of cities skylines but it just falls flat every single time once I get to the point of having large cities. The roads system is still so retarded and it takes so much time tinkering to get things looking good.
>But there's nothing where you go from stone age to space age.
Reminder the "X age" system is a meme and isn't an actually accurate system to describe how societies develop.
I'll have to check it out, I didn't realize it covered multiple time periods. Though I'm still looking for something a bit more extensive, like going from Banished to Anno 2205.

I don't think that's necessarily true. You could just have tech develop and as it does you organically upgrade the city. Even C:S kindof works like that, only you're just moving up population infrastructure instead of that and time periods.
Tropico
not that guy and I only play the fourth one
The advanced in technology wame with the modern time DLc, it's not in the base game and acts more as upgrade to building and historical event than a complete change in society.
At most you're going from post WW2 society/tech to 90ties ones
Maybe it was expanded upon in later entry.
How does it stack up to other city builders in other regards? I feel like it's the one I hear the least about.
Tropico 6 has a change in buildings, events, society, technologies
no DLC
Hope you still have your DS, user.
>someone else remembered this game
nice
