>Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dontnod Entertainment have delayed Twin Mirror from its previously planned 2019 release window to 2020, the companies announced.
>Additionally, Dontnod Entertainment has signed an exclusive partnership with Epic Games for distribution of the PC version of Twin Mirror exclusively via the Epic Games Store for a 12-month period.
>Dontnod Entertainment chairman and chief executive officer Oskar Guilbert said in a press release:
>“In line with our development strategy and thanks to our partnership with Epic Games, Dontnod now majority holds an additional key asset,”
>“We are delighted to partner with Epic Games and present Twin Mirror to the vast gamer community on its Epic Games store. The conditions of this partnership along with the support of Shibuya Productions reinforce the game’s potential. This strategic operation demonstrates our ability to leverage new market trends in our favor. The video game industry is currently undergoing major transformation and now offers a major competitive advantage to content creators such as Dontnod.”

This looks really fucking jank, it looks like a bad indie game.
Chinoid illiteracy strikes again! It says right there that it was entirely Dontnod's decision - just like how Observation going on EGS was the developer's decision and not Devolver.

Does Epic unironically think that they're winning anything from spending insane amounts of money, on exclusivity that ultimately just pisses off their potential customers? Out of all the PC stores Epic has no doubt got a large and genuine hatebase in a way that no other PC store can say.
If they would just do things slightly differently, they could have easily been hailed as the new saviours of PC gaming, and have people suck them off around every corner. So why are they so brash with all their business decisions? It's baffling to me.
