The PS2 games it emulates run worse than they do in PCSX2 for the most part. PS1 games sure, but I'd rather just play them on my computer instead of having them locked away behind a console in my living room. Won't be long until all the relevant PS3 games run better on PC at higher resolution.

It isn't emulation you literal retard, it's native hardware.

The Slim PS3 models on the other hand remove that hardware to cut on costs, they only have emulation, which is shit.

It was nice that the launch PS3 was backwards compatible, but the downside was the Fat running hotter than the surface of the sun, the failure rates were awful.

PS3 has no games was only true for the first couple years, by the end of that gen PS3 was the only console worth owning Practically everything on 360 was also on PC or PS3, and wii games could be emulated in 1080p with your choice of controller.

PC was too expensive back then, at least for me. All I really cared about was which system ran multiplats the best, that was the only thing that really mattered back then since all the exclusives were so bad. Christ, even Kojima shat the bed that gen. MGS4 is one of the lousiest games I've ever played. It wasn't just bad for an MGS game, it was genuinely shitty.

PC was cheaper to get into then than it is now, 7th gen is when the whole pc master race really started to take off with normalfags. Partly because of steam becoming less horrible, but mostly because nearly everything got a definitive port on PC.

Multiplats were usually complete ass on PS3, but with the exception of RDR and Bayonetta they were almost all on PC so why would you want to play them on a console.
