So how are you liking this league so far? I think its ok. Not as fun as synthesis but its still fun

This league summed up in one song
youtube.com/watch?v=lnC_2pTWvI8

>Not as fun as synthesis
Synthesis was trash, it was just the worst part of Delve combined with the worst part of Incursion, and worse rewards aside from extremely high end 1% RNG crafts with ridiculous godly implicits. Nothing you do with Synthesis matters until that point.

Path of Exile is trash, this League is trash as always

I have a phone but im not playing your trash. Sorry.

Was thinking about being a special snowflake and rolling a summoner zombies / srs utilizing the new melee passives for the minions

It’s bait. Everyone hates that league.

I could see why nobody would care for Legion either. It's just Abyss/Breach except you have a kill counter to babysit now.

Was it really that bad?
T. Havent played any leagues before hand.

Yea I mean it's the same as usual. Just ripped on my hxc 75 gladiator and I'm probably done for the season. Gonna play d2 ladder reset

+ Cyclone is fun
+ Some other Melee skills are really good
- A lot of Melee shit fell to the wayside because GGG is retarded
+ Duelist area has a ton of good nodes
+ Zerker is finally good
+ New Slayer nodes are pretty nice
- Didn't fix the Leech changes so Slayer's Leech path is still fucked
- Didn't revert the swap of Headsman/Bane of Legends or Endless Hunger/Brutal Fervour
+/- Gladiator barely improved, nerfed his attack speed on small notables and didn't make the Block Chance generic for Staves and Rearguard quiver users, but the new notable is pretty good
+ Champion feels pretty nice now
--- Rare mob HP was FUCKING DOUBLED
+ I like the idea of Legion mechanics
- Legion frozen mobs have too much HP
- Legion Monoliths give you way too little time
- Legion Monoliths on indoor layouts are ass-cancer and sometimes lock you out from over half the fucking Legion simply cause it spawned in a shitty corner
+ Legion drops are good
- When you can fucking get them

What's the new sunder for leveling?

Traps, now with no charges or cooldowns.

Sunder is pretty solid funny enough

>DEVO
how the fuck could you even make that mistake lmao

Perforate until you can Cyclone. Then Cyclone.

ED bois here? melee cucks need not apply

Sweet, thanks.

I didn't really read the patch notes hence me asking. I switched to cyclone at 28 from cleave and it felt like shit until like mid 40s. I powered through it but not really doing that again when I die.

>it felt like shit
What. It fucking quadrupled my damage instantly and felt amazing.

MS was shit, AoE was shit. It worked but it's not speedy.

Cyclone.

Been spinning with staff, it’s alright

City load time is harsh, sometimes crash from it

reading this and the general consensus around Poeg you faggots are trying way too hard to be contrarian
for like 3 years it was people playing melee calling spellcasters or bowyers cucks
now its been made better its meleecucks
lmao
you faggot get some opinion

You're surprised that (You) farmers play both sides?

Playing flicker. Letting it glide through packs is like crack but you always end up zipping away, missing shit and having to backtrack

Attached: 1425956370829.gif (400x600, 1.79M)

Where my Dark pact suicide bombers bros at?

Attached: kiw.jpg (461x415, 7K)

you level with it or?
im like just over 40 got multistrike and im using edge of madness i got afor a few alc, shits slow but whatelse is there
flicker was my go to for leveling until i had to swap to lacerate once the build gets going, i have no idea how i managed it before shit seems slower

>multistrike
OHNONONONO

Don't you get a seizure from using it? Haven't played in years, but that skill is unusable with multi-strike

synthesis was terrible and convinced me to stop playing

Same shit as usual with a few minor tweaks. Melee got a boost but screen wide spells are still king. Despite the new gimmick you're still going to be stuck grinding maps forever with rng loot being 99% useless.

It's more content then Diablo 3 puts in but it's still the same thing is has been the past several seasons.

epic comment nigger thanks for informing me thats a bad move
suck my dick, choke on it

Flicker Strike is the most patrician skill in the game, too bad PoE is shit.

You can level with it pretty much as soon as you get Terminust Est if you've been building crit, but I just did cyclone for the first ~7 acts or so

>that skill is unusable with multi-strike
Flicker is unusable WITHOUT multistrike because then you'd need to generate a frenzy charge on every attack rather than just one in three. The only way to do that right now is either have 100% ignite, crit or use Red Trail + Golden Rule which is expensive and less damage

>multistrike
>he doesn't know

What's so wrong with multistrike?

elucidate me

liking the battle update, but the content is definitely less fun than synthesis.

Anyone used aukuna's will for detonate zombies yet? I wanna know if it's even remotely viable.

There appears to be a bug with flicker + multistrike, I'd avoid using it for now

>he REALLY doesn't know
oh no no no no

>ignore every new league
>play delve instead

Attached: 1465020995075.jpg (800x800, 93K)

you seem to be in the minority of knowers of that knowledge maybe you should educate us on why

>+/- Gladiator barely improved,
dude gladiator is fucking broken what did you need?

Are you talking about the 'hold down and get only two attacks' bug? They're going to fix it, and even then it's still two for one for frenzy charges

He doesn't know himself, fuck that gay.

Legion got massive melee changes. Synthesis spell changes were a massive joke. A majority of spell skills are still useless, although same applies for melee but the QoL changes make even the worst skills better to use. Even if you don't like the legion mechanic, the melee changes alone make it much better than Synthesis.

The main mechanic of Synthesis league was garbage too. It was buggy the first month, sometimes you couldn't finish memories because you took a wrong turn. Crafting was a cool idea but to get the best implicits you had to do a lot of trading or a lot of item stashing. Not everyone has ten quad stash tabs. And when you finally did a "rewarding" bridge to farm, the rewards were never that amazing. In Legion you basically get the same reward, and sometimes even more just by doing a small content piece that takes a minute to do. It more fun when you clear a legion monolith, get bunch of stacked decks, maybe some crazy helm with lab enchant or more splinters to eventually get to kill those bosses.

cyclone is not good without the slots anddecent gear. there are better skills to level up, like sunder.

I thought synthesis was ok, but this league just feels much more to the heart of what PoE and ARPGs in general are supposed to be. New encounters that aren't too complex, and lots of new little interactions and loot types. I love the fact that you can drop such a huge variety of loot from Legion encounters and incubators.

I did a bit of incubator testing and found something out on my own that I feel super proud about, so currently hoarding a super secret Incubator right now that people don't seem to think is valuable and is only going for a couple chaos, but will 100% jump to 50+c once people realize what you can get from it and at what rates.

It was fine, but a little too complicated for what the rewards were and felt like it took you out of the core gameplay loop too much. It just started out badly and took forever to fix, and even after fixing all the problems the issue of GG powercreep Synth implicits being unobtainable by plebs really set them over the edge for some reason.

>City load time is harsh, sometimes crash from it
get an SSD and put PoE on it. they're super cheap and it turned my 45+ second Oriath crash to log-in loads into smooth 4 second load times with no crashes.

I heard HH is easy to get this league, is that true?
Will I finally be able to get the memebelt itself?

Attached: retard is retarded.png (141x188, 13K)

i doubt it. they actually made HH harder to get if the patch notes are to be trusted.

if you do the mechanic

Attached: olivia-munn.jpg (2545x1981, 2.66M)

those vaal underground areas feel so fucking good to loot

Not trash, the league itself was just suffering from a lot of technical problems, not the least of which made Betrayal content cause huge lethal lag spikes for players whenever Intervention showed up. They made the Synthesis itself very complicated for rather meager rewards, kinda like how the Labyrinth used to be before its drop rates got buffed. When the future Synthesis will inevitably have less Memories to be found, they can safely buff Synthesis rewards to ridiculous levels since first you have to find memories/complete 10-12 "Breaches" without fucking them up, before you can make any coherent road to rewards in the Nexus map.

>Synthesis
>Fun
Does not compute. Synthesis is by far the worst league, even the devs don't know how synthesis was supposed to work so the trailer version and the release version was different, then they overhauled the release version into something different again. Sounds like some idea guy's pipe dream being forced into cruel reality and was stillborn.

>even the devs don't know how synthesis was supposed to work
no, the actual issue was that they wanted you to be able to run synthesis memory chains in one long string instead of multiple chopped instances, but it wasn't technologically feasible so they changed the entire system last minute.

So idea guy's idea can't be pushed into reality just like I said?

It could, but the issue was predominantly consoles.
>If a singular Instance is made too large, computers with lower memory allotments will run out and not be able to make the Instance at all
>Consoles have consistently lower memory limitations compared to PCs
>Due to the unique nature of stapling different Memories together, the strain of making a large instance would be much harder than the (relatively) fixed generation of say Alva's Temple, which is also a very large Instance, but in a different way
100% possible on good PCs, but for general use, especially among shittier PCs and Consoles, it wouldn't work.

How long does it take to get to maps for a casual? I'm thinking about getting back (couple of years break).

Attached: bueno.png (499x442, 190K)

poe is shit can;t we move on to a better game? FUCK I'M TIRED OF IT!

Attached: 1558506679245.gif (246x205, 565K)

You can do it in a weekend if you dedicate most of the 2 days.
But if you're just getting back into it and have yet to experience 10 unique acts* you'll probably take a bit longer, probably closer to a week in total at an hour or two a day.

THE VIRGIN SLAYER FLICKER
~ has to use melee splash and multistrike to clear packs
~ due to multistrike has no control over where he travels, just holds right click and hope he moves in the right direction
~ takes overwhelm even though he's using terminus est
~ has to rely on frenzy charge generation to actually play his build

THE CHAD CHAIN HOOK BERSERKER
~ has built in aoe, no need to take splash
~ right click and he obliterates a pack before moving into the next one
~ generates extreme amounts of rage allowing him to use the berserk spell for extended periods of time
~ no need for frenzy charges

i miss delve

increased mob damage makes offmeta builds even more difficult and punishing, game did not need that. what it needed is for meta builds to be brought in line a bit, instead they just replaced worb with ED/cyclone
legion mechanic is conceptually very good, but executed terribly such that only a few builds can reliably clear it, or survive it when they do. deeply frustrating

It's been a while, but I remember getting on the roof of Notre Dam on act five or so? My face when.
oh shit, this is fucking long. I was hoping they stream lined it a bit more, so we could try out a couple of builds a league, rather than having to dedicate to one or two.

Attached: quasi.jpg (400x250, 13K)

Why the FUCK don’t the legion guys have corpses? My build that I was having a ton of fun with is worthless for the new league stuff because they’re just immune to volatile dead for no reason...

Attached: AAB509DE-5C20-4087-B1DD-949980BD926E.png (500x380, 312K)

path of exile is soulless

Attached: 1558242759099.png (743x722, 559K)

For fuck sake, use a spectre build if you want to capture souls.

Ill mkve on when ff7 comes out
