No, there are good threads. It's just that no one ever posts in them and they usually die quietly with 30 comments or so. You don't want good threads or you would find a good thread and bump it. You would sage your replies in shit threads and actively avoid making too many of those kinds of posts anyway. You may also politely sage, as I have with this post, when you feel like your post isn't meant to bump a thread although I suspect this level of etiquette will never return to a hellscape like Yea Forums to be honest with you.

My advice is to filter buzzwords if you're desperate or just moderate yourself and actively avoid responding to shitposts with a shitpost(THIS IS IMPORTANT) and avoid bumping shitty threads if you must post in them with a sage in your options line on your post window. That stops your reply from bumping a thread.
Also, just try to be respond to positive posters with positivity or at least don't assume that everyone is spewing venom, jokes are a thing, and if something upsets you, you're anonymous and it all goes away and there's really no need to fling shit over something as basic as "your opinion on a video game" or something silly.
tl;dr: Be more positive and constructive with your own posting and have the self control that others lack.
