I guess playing right after waking up helped me to play a more relaxed pressure game right now haha.

Then again, it is pretty interesting how even small changes like approaching with dash followed by 5A can mix things up.

I haven't played PoE since they added the 7th class. I remember having fun with a ranger built around using blood for spells and lifesteal per enemy hit on lightning arrow.

Speaking of CF, I don't think I've yet to fully move onto it from CPEX since I had my best combos in that version. 5k with Relius in the corner was so simple back then.

it's fucking insane now, I took the last league off because a lot of previous league mechanics needed to be fine tuned for inclusion into standard gameplay and the new synthesis mechanic was implemented poorly. But this new league is the most fun I've had in a long ass time.

leveling masters has with shitty sidequests been completely replaced with fully fleshed out content, which can kind of replace end game content like maps. also there are 10 acts now/have been for a while

Use more gems in neutral to control space. Practice confirming off 5C and 2C > 2A in neutral. Get those combos down.

Hold 1 or 3 depending on your side to buffer not only a flashkick but also a fireball.
Always have crystal out to bail yourself out of moves
FF is mostly used on the ground to end strings IIRC
Don't forget A+B in the air exists
CS and just beedrill people up close

He's had a pocket Orie for like a year. Also he was mostly doing the day 1 A starter combo. You had the same problem I had early and kept getting 214C instead of 2C > 4C, so just be careful to return to neutral after pressing 2C before doing 4C.

There was a period where i hit a hard wall with Phonon and stopped playing her entirely and tried to learn Orie instead. I'm pretty happy with how good i got with Orie although i've let her rust so badly i can only really do her basic tutorial combos now.

So kinda the same thing I had with Yuzu, but I played Orie cause I loved playing as Kat in GBFV

I picked up Orie because i wanted to play a character who had to get in to do damage, basically i was trying to get away from Phonon's playstyle. Also her thighs call out to me.

You can look at the inputs. I was still holding d while doing a motion and I must've let go by accident and when I went back to holding down on it recognized it as an IW input.

I'd love to believe you, but I've seen enough Yuzu play to know they always go for the IW, no matter what the situation.

He's a 1 bar and constant 7 frames for me

I just knew you tend to go for an assault once you're out of range of your normals and decided to block for once since it's easy to predict what you're going to do.

Hm not technically true since I just don't like using my normals for the most part, range doesn't have must to do with it. Either way that was really impressive

If you can tech those throws in like 4-5 frames of lag. You know something is wrong and busted.

You can't remove something tied to fundamentals and buttons like that.

I've barely been OSing tonight. I'm just doing 1AD or plain AD on reaction to you running up just like hippie, so it's more that you need to try making your throws less obvious. If I were really doing it right I would be hitting you out of some of your assaults.

The way the tutorial explains the different throw OSes confuses me a bit, because it seems like they're all designed to counter a set of options that all begin with the opponent running right up to your face, then doing something, and especially with the ones that cover run up assaults it just seems like nobody actually does that, so the timing is always off for any of the ones involving assaults.

Man fighting in 9 frames just isn't fun. I'm gonna have to skip ya dude.

That makes sense since throws are only a threat when the opponent is right in your face though. It's mostly me and Waifu here that I see in these lobbies who does the assault/throw approaches. You see it a ton in offline matches so I think it's very important to know.

You can tech throws with 1AD but if you do it too early or they delay their throw or overhead you get shield broken and killed.

Seems too dangerous if you're risking all that.

What's the advantage of running into their face then assaulting vs. just dashing and doing it from a distance so they can't do eg. a 3ACD to cover it?

Far easier to shield when you assault from max range. Doing something like a run up delayed assault is great for baiting out reactions from the opponent as well, since if they see you doing nothing they'll be inclined to mash 2A or 1AD to throw reject

It weird to say but after finding out how bad orie's stuff is I'm not too scared of her. I'm willing to do a lot more after playing her.

It pretty much kills people who do 1AD or just stand tech too much. Especially offline, assaults in pressure are not a real mixup since they are extremely reactable and no one is going to get hit by those unless you bait people to mash or throw at that timing.

Doing it from a distance means they're not going to be afraid of throws, so you won't bait a shield or stand tech. Also, people can react to assaults at a distance as well.

Just do what you always do and never stop moving/slashing. Yuzu's stance is one big frametrap, that's really where you get your hits is making people impatient.

For AA OSs, you basically just jab twice/frametrap the AA part of it

Akatsuki is a fairly easy and straightforward

Go into mission mode and play every character up to 4-1. 4-1 will generally be their basic BNB and if you're too frustrated to do it, then that character isn't for you. Alternatively, just pick the cutest girl or edgiest boi and stick with them.
