>Some enemy attacks will restrain characters and you’ll need to rescue them by attacking the enemy with someone else. If you don’t, they will take a lot of damage.
>Evading will (obviously) negate damage provided you, you know, evade it. Guarding will reduce damage and build up your ATB.
>Cloud has sword strike attacks that are designed for area damage (Triple Slash), stagger damage (Focused Thrust), and pure total damage (Braver).
>You can also break Shinra boxes out in the field for additional items by pressing Square while running around as Cloud.
ALso kitase interview “Due to the work already done on the first game we anticipate development of the second game to be more efficient. We have our own internal schedule and plan, but for now we’d like to focus our information on the first game in the project.”
Did they remove that gay shit from FFXV where you can use phoenix downs on yourself even after dying, rendering every fight a battle of attrition and making it virtually impossible to lose?
Hudson Bennett
nobody has said that still exists, what the shit
Hunter Fisher
nobody has commented on it at all, which is why I asked. I'll be really disappointed if they don't change it.
Jose Reyes
Really pushing this "other game" bullshit. It's other episode of a once full game.
Camden Rivera
>wife2.png Back off I saw her first
Jace Long
I doubt it. You can't do it in KH and the team who made XV is working on something else, not only that but the item usage is tied to the ATB bar
Brody Lopez
>not only that but the item usage is tied to the ATB bar Ok thank god, you just saved my hype.
Evan Carter
What the fuck is with all of you taking unholy screenshots and making her design look worse than it really is?
Ian Morgan
if you think that looks bad i think you are gay my man
Camden Davis
Well the story stuff seems appropriately hokey... Cloud all but calls Barrett a retard apparently
Gavin Murphy
>Some enemy attacks will restrain characters and you’ll need to rescue them by attacking the enemy with someone else. If you don’t, they will take a lot of damage. Oh boy! I sure do love babysitting AI party members!
Leo Brooks
>AI party members Zoomer detected.
Leo Mitchell
I want restrain Tifa
Grayson Cooper
Aerith looks better than Tifa in this game
Are you okay with that Yea Forums
Parker Gomez
i wish they just made it turn based desu
Oliver Hernandez
both are fine
Alexander Jenkins
>item usage is tied to the ATB bar The fact that they actually learned from one of FFXV's many mistakes is impressive, at least for this company.
Lucas Ross
>Some enemy attacks will restrain characters
There's going to be a ton of bondage porn for Tifa and Aerith, huh?
Anthony Nelson
The first point was in the original I think it was a Reno fight that put your party in these shield pyramid things and you had to attack it with a free party member
Chase Rogers
Yes.
Ryan Parker
please god let Aerith have her real personality and not be Yuna.
Anthony Lewis
yeah, also that monster from junon, dont remember its name
Juan Perry
>Aeris will have her Kingdom Hearts "innocence personified" personality >Tifa won't call Barret a retard >Cid won't be abusive to Shera >Barret won't dress up like a Popeye sailor >Red XIII won't dress up like a Shinra soldier >Yuffie won't have unbuttoned short shorts >No marching or squatting minigames >Since the entire game is just Midgar and you'd only have four party members until Red XIII joins at the end, Jessie and Biggs will get added as temp party members >More focus on the Turks >Rufus won't die >Palmer won't randomly get hit by a truck when you beat him >Scarlet won't name the world's most powerful weapon the Sister Ray >Don Corneo won't try to rape a 16 year-old >Crisis Core people will show up in Cloud's flashbacks >Hojo won't try to breed Red XIII and Aeris >Dio won't be a muscular guy in a speedo >No Barret date, probably no Yuffie date >No Tifa/Scarlet girly slapfight >No gay sauna scene >Fewer wacky enemies >Increased emphasis on Zack, his parents are no longer missable >Probably more about Cloud's past during Midgar since you can't have an entire game where you don't go into the protagonist's history
>you had to remove the "Cloud will have his Advent Children personality" because you got BTFO L E L
Blake Smith
With love
Brandon Miller
She seems kind of ditzy so far desu. >"Help me!!!" >"K BYE!!!"
Jonathan Collins
Is there a higher quality version of the trailer? It's 1080p but pretty blurry. Very hard to tell what kind of physics there are on Tifa's boobs with frame by frame analysis.
You can unlock Classic Mode after 100%ing the game. Once on: >Enemies will no longer spawn in the overworld, and random battles will occur. >The battles will be the same ATB combat from the original. >Characters will have models which look like the original artwork. >The old dialogue/menu box returns with color customization. >The old sountrack plays instead of the remastered one. i made this up but you knew that. welcome to nu-ff, gramps
>>Cloud has sword strike attacks that are designed for area damage (Triple Slash), stagger damage (Focused Thrust), and pure total damage (Braver). This confirms a radical change of the Limit Break system, right? Also, I wonder if "triple slash" is Cross Slash
only Cid can jump idiot, he learned it from domestic abuse classes
dude there isn't going to be a red or yuffie in the first episode. think about them in like 10 years
Sebastian Rivera
>people don't see the irony of the hyper realism blended with the classic FF7 jrpg gameplay >Cloud will block with his shield and all the Shinra soldiers will just shoot the sword.
Ian Nguyen
Red is going to be in, they have to be completely out of Midgar in this game. If it's before you even rescue Aerith then this entire thing will fall in on itself
Dominic Miller
yeah no way in the original game you go back to midgar way later and they never said they'd combined both first time and return into one piece. literally what the fuck would be the point of the rest of the game if you just did all the midgar parts in one game?
Christian Taylor
You go back to a small part of the Midgar you were at before and a new larger part. I'm talking about the original Midgar segment.
Jose Brooks
Ah good. The opposite problem. She’s the kooky spice... when there’s Yuffie
Ryan Diaz
>Funny scene (spoilers I guess?): Barret says that he can hear the planet calling out to him in pain. Cloud asks him if he can really hear it. Barret replies, damn straight I do and Cloud retorts (deadpan) “Get help.” This prompts Barret to get in his face and tells him to say that to him again. This better be on youtube soon
dude you go back to midgar at the near end of disc 2 before disc 3. literally what would be the point of even making other episodes if you did all midgar points at once. what are you going to do attack the city exit and then reenter when it's locked down immediately? go and play the original game zoomer moron and see for yourself
Adrian Moore
Face-wise that makes sense
Julian Allen
What will the new final boss of the Midgar section be? They can't have it be a random helicopter again.
FF7 was never meant to be hard. If you game over'd anywhere outside of Ruby and Emerald weapon then you're actually retarded. Losing in some of the gold saucer battles is fine but you don't game over so it's not the same.
Xavier Ward
It'll probably be Jenova as we're already seeing Jenova clones in the remake.
Brody Morales
What the fuck are you trying to say here? I know that. I said that. Then I said I'm talking about the original Midgar segment.
Elijah Jackson
Usually you lose those because you’re not as prepared as you thought in some way. With all the materia swapping to your best guy you migjt forget some.
Liam Jones
Sephiroth/Jenova, and they'll go on a whole monologue about Cloud before flying into the distance
fuck you Carry Armor is hard
Charles Butler
Yuna has tons of personality. Good to know you never played FFX
Nathan Myers
no, the limit break system still exists.
Grayson Brooks
NONE of the mainline FFs are difficult (outside of certain bosses and postgame stuff)
Daniel Thomas
>FF7 was never meant to be hard. I didn't say that. I just want there to be at least some sort of risk to make battles feel more rewarding, and also so they can get creative with the bosses instead of limiting them to making boring ass HP sponges like in FFXV because the system is inherently shit.
Thomas Martin
what other choice they have just wait until cloud stops blocking himself?
Adrian Thompson
The final boss of Midgar wasn't a helicopter; it was Motor Ball. Anyway, it'll have to be someone they can build up through the game, so with what we know so far that doesn't leave many options. I expect some kind of big showdown against the Turks.
>>Some enemy attacks will restrain characters and you’ll need to rescue them by attacking the enemy with someone else. If you don’t, they will take a lot of damage.
Duh, any brainlet could see this in the trailer where Cloud got grabbed by the Scorpion and Barret had to break him out, or where Aps knocked him down and was pounding on his sword while he used it like a shield.
Its basically the same mechanic as Dragon age when you have to use a stun to break an enemy's "fuck you" attack on a character.
James Hughes
Rufus?
Jeremiah Moore
Limits still exist, some of them just split off into ATB attacks. Braver's one of these and Cloud's starting Limit seems to be Cross Slash now.
Josiah King
that could be fun, always wanted to fight against tseng
also, a piece of jenova at the end of midgar
Juan Green
It was a casual RPG, put in a little grinding and just about every boss is a cake walk. You could beat Sephiroth in your 50's easy. But if you underleveled or unprepared it let you know.
Juan Walker
>Carry Armor
Mason Lee
>no one talks about all the optional locations you visit on your travels. >like that tower defence rts mini game town.
Xavier Williams
What's wrong with it? its a transforming Helicopter. They're putting more focus on Shinra having a robot army like they alluded to in the original with cloud talking about getting out of their before the robots got their.
Ian Rodriguez
WTF happened to her between X and X2?
its like she took a shit ton of LSD and got brain damage.
John Reed
>casual rpg No it was just an rpg not casual. The hard parts in FF games were always optional quests and bosses. Though FF9 had the easiest optional final boss ever.
Parker Bailey
The Condor Reactor?
Joshua Russell
That was my initial thought, but you already fight him immediately prior to your highway escape and it'd be pretty weird having him chase the party himself.
It's going to be "Sephiroth" and you know it. The very same "Sephiroth" that killed President Shinra.
Levi Clark
>Tifa realizes she could have been fucking horses this whole time
Cooper Williams
The the fact that this game is the whole Midgar arc expanded to a full story, the only other party member you'll get is gonna be Red XIII (unless they do shit out of order, or possibly make Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie actual temporary party members)
well in X she was basically marching to her death, so (understandably) didn't have many plans for the future. After stopping Sin, I believe she grappled with what to do with herself, but it was generally geared toward finding Tidus. Which led her to sphere hunting.
Justin Gomez
I Hope they make the RTS thing a bit better designed, the last one was basically just "Put up ranged defenses and a tank here in front of it"
Aiden Ramirez
You just know
Brayden Watson
>Cloud has sword strike attacks that are designed for area damage (Triple Slash), stagger damage (Focused Thrust), and pure total damage (Braver) This is the kinda shit I wanna see, different attacks actually having a reason to exist
>easiest optional boss ozma can be easy or hard depending on if he wants to fuck you over or not. he's the only boss in the ps1 trilogy like this where as the others you can prepare for
Austin Rogers
Yes, but there is a limit break there listed as a regular move.
Josiah Thomas
What if for the cross dressing scene, They made Cloud look like Lightning?
desu i'm surprised that there aren't any fucking videos of the demo gameplay up there yet
Evan Williams
That wasn't the final boss of Midgar. This was, at the end of the highway chase. They're gonna make a change there for sure - either putting Heidegger into it (as it seems they're making him more prominent early on) or adding something else after it - I fear it'll be a Sephiroth boss, imagined or in the form of Jenova's body, but I hope not.
oh for sure. I think limit breaks are just stronger abilities with animations and shit. Abilities are not only damage (lower than limits), but utility as well
maybe you have multiple dresses you can wear and lightning outfit is one of them and a viera costume
Justin Myers
>hediegger and scarlet constantly sending you robots to deal with avalanche with some kyahahas and gyahaha, robotnik style Yeha cmon who could not want this
Ryder Lopez
I would actually be totally on board with that, I think it'd be hilarious
Jaxon Cox
It can be a bonus outfit.
Camden Martinez
It definitely will be a Sephiroth boss. We've already seen that they're tweaking Midgar to expressly show Sephiroth and include more references to him.
Hunter James
he'd kick cloud out because he's not looking for men
Matthew Watson
That's right! Restraining characters and making them immobile and having to "rescue" them is bad! Imagine how bad it would be if some red haired dude in a blue suit shot weird pyramid lasers at your party members and immobolized them, forcing you to waste an attack to "rescue" your companion. How could the remake do something like that!? Thankfully the original game was perfect and never did anything like that... Oh wait...
Isaiah Wood
>We've already seen that they're tweaking Midgar to expressly show Sephiroth don't they only show sephiroth in the kalm town memory cutscene
Jacob Evans
>tfw SE gives you the choice of adding ONE VII character from the enitre compliation as a new party member for the Remake trilogy/series
So I'm young and never touched more than an hour of FF7 on Steam, didn't like it. Not playing the remake because its broken up into three games and just cashing in on the nostalgia. Feels plastic.
He has spooky ghosts following him in one of the promo images, the same spooky ghosts that assault Aerith in the trailer, so it's safe to assume he's got a larger role. There's also a high chance they're rewriting the flashbacks considering he's got a completely different attitude during the fire.
obviously uh.... I have no idea. Can I pass? Does an user want to take mine?
Julian Diaz
nice blog
Nathaniel Young
>If you game over'd anywhere outside of Ruby and Emerald weapon then you're actually retarded Actually, in Shinra HQ you could get a bad-luck streak post-Rufus battle when you need to meet up with Tifa (and save the game first). If you are unlucky you might have to face several Hojo-experiment battles (who are fairly strong for the average level at the time) with Cloud by himself. It's even worse because if you really die, then you got to redo the last two bossfights all over again.
Benjamin Bell
Grimoire Valentine. FFVII could always use more mad scientists.
Rufus shinra shows up as final Guest party member after surviving his death.
Nolan Foster
Young twenties. I've only ever played ff15. Good promise in the first half, trainwrecks in the second half. 13 came out in early high school and looked boring, never even noticed 10.
Aaron Davis
did you change the battle settings to maximum speed and active? also
>He has spooky ghosts following him in one of the promo images, the same spooky ghosts that assault Aerith in the trailer, so it's safe to assume he's got a larger role. link?
David Martinez
>mfw Yea Forums shits on FF13 gameplay for years and FF7R rips the Stagger system straight out of it and now Yea Forums loves it
>game was in development hell years and dropped the major outsoucer that did most of the development now is being released in multiple parts at full price.
I can't be anything but cyncial towards this project to deliver.
>Forgetting to mention how little control over the battle you have in XIII otherwise
Nice cherries, where did you pick them?
Brayden Nelson
I was thinking if you fail to get everything and just get the wig you get lightning in the SOLDIER outfit. Get everything like the dress, bag accesories, make up, etc. and you get Lightning from the LV commercial
Even though adding him early is dumb, I really like this shot. The ghosts blend into the smoke quite nicely.
Eli Wright
I appreciate FF because its such a classic series. I think the gameplay is dated and it doesn't grab me, but having played 15 I feel the crescendos in the story that are typical and loved in the series.
I’m betting about 2-3 years between releases, with the scale eventually being about on par with something like Dragon Quest XI.
Zachary Howard
Of all the bitching about 13, I do not recall the concept of STAGGERING being among them
Jackson Edwards
>Somewhat decent mechanic in a not so well liked game gets transplanted in a much more anticipated remake of a fondly remembered game and people like it more Gee. I wonder why user.
Justin Barnes
12 also felt unfinished
Caleb Lewis
That has nothing to do with the shitty stagger system. Doing tedious shit to stagger so you can now do real damage for a limited time is boring crap mechanic and it will be the same in ff7r.
Christopher Thompson
>So we'll be able to jump then? From the ff7 symphony mini-trailer we saw that Cloud can at least autotarget airborne enemies automatically. He just up to their height and then attacks them in mid-air similar to dissidia.
Nathan Lewis
>Somewhat decent mechanic LOL
I don't need to wonder why people who will buy this turd no matter what will excuse anything.
Brody Long
Stagger system was based. The boss fights felt intense
Eli Wright
That boss was only a problem my very first time playing when I was like 9 and didnt understand rpgs
Jaxson Martinez
No. Maybe I'll try that one day. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to have more fun in the future playing the original rather than the cash grab this one is obviously gonna be.
Charles Green
the stagger system was the best part of 13 though if you only played 15 you missed the character development and fleshed out world of the previous games.
Brandon Garcia
I knew who was gonna be behind that spoiler before I opened it Id be ok with Dio being a secret party member myself
Robert Jackson
>randomly grabs two of your characters at once psh nothing personal kid
Henry Wood
They'll show Scarlet in due time, friend.
Kevin Garcia
>Carry Armor Literally who? I had to look up that boss and realized that I don't remember it because it died super fucking fast.
Brody Taylor
>i played 1 hour of a jrpg and judged it based on that
Sorry for your retardation
Isaac Green
I haven't paid much attention to Compilation, who is this? She's a Turk, right? But Elena is blond.
Michael Nguyen
ff15s story was garbage 99% of the time though The ending camping scene was the best part
Jaxson Gray
>I haven't paid much attention to Compilation And you never should
Jose Thomas
She's not going to be in part one.
Isaac Sanchez
this. i don't remember having a problem with any boss other than on disc 1 when i was literally 8 years old.
Jayden King
FF15 barely has any crescendos, it all falls flat for various anticlimactic reasons. The only part that felt like a classic FF climax moment was the last half of episode Ignis, ironically a DLC released long after the game itself.
Eli Taylor
Its almost as if stagger wasnt what people were complaining about
>we anticipate development of the second game to be more efficient. They haven't been able to have a timely dev cycle in over 10 years and this will be no different. There have been no structural changes at SE that should lead anyone to believe this will turn out any differently than anything else they'e developed in-house in the past two generations.
Nicholas Kelly
crisis core was god tier
Alexander King
>There have been no structural changes at SE Yes there have lol
Nolan Flores
>tfw can't have a mixed character like Light or Sazh to be controlled by the AI because they won't spam only magic
Aaron Price
The chocobros riding around in a sick car, being sickly rich, fighting sick monsters, is sick shit. To be fair, there's no reason they should be doing this because the entire world is occupied by the evil empire or whatever their name is. There's overarching problems with the story, but at face value the story should have been great. The opening set to Stand By Me was beautiful.
Austin Howard
It really wasn't. All i remember is that dumb slot machine combat and cloud being a mopey fag, and the ott anime shit
Eli Allen
plz tell me
Carry Armor randomly grabs a party member, iirc it's something like a 1/34 chance every turn. That party member cannot do anything, but they aren't "dead", either, so you can't revive them. They're just completely out of play. It has two arms, so it can randomly take two characters out of commission at literally any point. Then it has a AoE that does like half your health if you don't have Big Guard, so it's sort of dumb.
>riding around in a car isnt gameplay >you arent rich anymore because youre kingdom got fucking rekt >the combat is some of the worst in the franchise so fighting anything is a bore
Leo Rogers
the slot machine shit was an unfortunate burden on an otherwise fun combat system, the story was alright and materia fusion was awesome
Ian Kelly
>platinumd xv when it was released >my % completion is now like 30 or 40%
Yeah fuck xv. I can see them already planning the same shit with viiR
Grayson Campbell
But there is: Nomura is no longer working on KH3, just like several others.
Mason Gonzalez
>riding around in a car isnt gameplay it was a great way of structuring an rpg in a giant open world though
Hudson Martinez
Left=cute Right=squash face
Sebastian Clark
These fucking japs want the girls to look like goblins.
Connor Perry
The slot machine is actually a facade covering up an invisible bar that dictates when you get an attack from it Cloud was sad he wasnt up to snuff to make it into soldier, just like he was for a little bit after tifa unmindfucked him before everyone told him to shut up and stop being a faggot
Oliver Young
Yea Cloud only started to become a true CHAD after the submarine sequence.
Charles Mitchell
>These fuckign japs want the girls to look like perfect teenagers instead of 40 year old roast beef golems.
They're deliberately avoiding Yuffie for the same reason they nerfed Tifa's tits
Kevin Ramirez
Do you think they're gonna give Aerith and Tifa fashion commercials too?
Jordan Reed
The most important thing is that Tabata has no say with this series, so the worst case can be avoided. But IIRC Tabata is sort of the "fall guy" for SE, considering it was him IIRC who announced the whole FFVII... remaster, half a year before the E3 announcement for the remake.
Oh right. Good, no worries then. Tabata is the problem and needs to be kept away.
Brayden Cox
But when will they confirm a jump button, launchers and air combos?
Alexander Sanders
There's not really much to nerf with Yuffie, besides you recruit her after Midgar so she's probably not in this (again, assuming they won't just change things so she's in midgar)
Yuffie isn't popular. They're avoiding Yuffie because she isn't in the game at that point
Jacob Gutierrez
>Due to the work already done on the first game we anticipate development of the second game to be more efficient. That's contradictory to another source that claimed that someone from SE supposedly said that it will NOT be more efficient for the second game. One of the two sources must be lying, or else someone at SE must be confused or didn't get the memo.
Kayden Carter
But what if they button her shorts and cover her midriff
Ayden Kelly
They already buttoned it in compilation shit, so it's probably going to happen. Midriff though, Tifa is proudly showing hers off so it's probably fine.
Ryan Turner
That's SE.
Hudson Stewart
It's an ARG.
Ryder Stewart
The other source said it wouldn't be "faster", not that it wouldn't be more efficient. Which isn't surprising when you consider that they're going to need a much wider range of assets once they move past Midgar and can't just copypasta shit as easily.
>mash attacks until the mobs die >occasionally push different buttons when the meter's full
Looking pretty dynasty warriors or Tales Of so far.
Samuel Mitchell
>enemies can CC you >guard scorpion was shown to have several phases, one reliant on hitting a small weak spot and has a fuck you laser beam you need to find cover in the environment for >stagger system makes you need to continuously attack so you can lay down big damage
Ethan Gonzalez
Wait...I thought most of you retards FORGOT that FF7 remake was going to be divided into multiple games over the course over 4-6 years when they mentioned that years ago.
Logan Campbell
I wonder if Guard Scorpion sets a precedent, he is the first fucking boss and yet he has lots of HP and around 4 phases. I don't think the final boss of the game took that long to beat in the original version.
Owen Ross
It's literally been over 20 years since I've played it, so forgive me if my memory isn't perfect, but even Red XIII only shows up near the very end of Midgar, right? Meaning if they keep it accurate, he'll only be a party member for a very small part of this game at the end.
Luke Young
They'll just rewrite shit so he'll join the party much earlier
Logan Robinson
So in 24 some years we'll get FF7 reremake right?
Ian Cooper
It's weird, there are hitstuns, we've seen Cloud and Tifa juggles Shinra Troops off the ground, but it seems inconsistent OR we still don't know how to trigger it. Possibly a stance change would trigger it? Maybe. We know Cloud's Punisher mode, is him two handing the sword. Bigger and small enemies does get hitstunned by abilities. And then there's the Stagger mechanic from 13.
Owen Lee
It's 6-7 hours in the original, but they've expanded it and said it's a full game (which they wouldn't say if it's less than 12 hours).
Zachary Martinez
this is my first time replaying the game and jesus fucking christ ATB is cancer, im glad they got rid of that shit with X
Hunter Taylor
IIRC you fight Rufus after the elevator fight with the helicopter boss using Barret, Red XIII and Aerith.
Ian Flores
>im glad they got rid of that shit with X Oh this so fucking much. I'm trying to replay VII but my god, is the combat dated as hell. I'm also currently replaying X. And what do you know, X plays a LOT better than VII. And btw, do you guys want them to implement the PHS during battle, so that you can switch with other party members (that's not in the party) on the fly ala FFX in the second part of the remake? That would be so fucking dope as hell.
Matthew Watson
Cloud has a heavy and light attack and theres also the stagger system lifted from ff13
Wyatt Wright
How could a JRPG be difficult? It's just hitting stuff with whatever does big number damage.
William Morales
>Ff13 >Most hated final fantasy game >had 3 games forced on the fanbase despite no one asking for them They just won't let it die, will they?
Dylan Perez
I mean as shit as ff13 was the stagger system was a neat idea
Eli Cook
I mean, the only way we would know is if someone died in the E3 booth demo, and it seems no one can record footage from that, so who knows? Presumably there's no XV-style down state, so you can't just lolphoenixdown yourself off the ground, but that's assuming.
Aiden Russell
You can't use items in FFVIIR unless you have an atb bar full. Also I doubt the characters have a downed state, you probably just swap to another character once the one your controlling goes down. This battle system actually sounds great. Where were these devs hiding when FFXV was being developed?
Almost everything I've seen on FFVIIr looks good but I still think it's going to suck. They have to make the first game 30 hours long somehow and if FFXV is anything to go by, it will be filled with some of the worst sidequests ever made.
>Where were these devs hiding when FFXV was being developed? This is Nomura's A-Team, apparently, when even his B-Team (Osaka) was used for KH3. Once Nomura left XV, Tabata mostly took over and tossed out way too much of Nomura's combat ideas for his own casualization. The combat designer for VII-R is even the same one as KH2 if I remember right.
Luke Cox
>The combat designer for VII-R is even the same one as KH2 if I remember right. He also did Dissidia 012 if I'm remembering correctly.
Nathaniel Parker
They're going to sell a SHIT TON of microtransaction skins for this game; Fuck, I bet they're banking on the majority of their money being from skins.
Would you guys be opposed to a Sephiroth story DLC story? >waking up jenova in shinra building >fucking up president >zooming out to go slamdunk midgar zoloms onto trees >shiskebobbing ancients etc
Luis Miller
I can't believe people find shit like this attractive. She looks retarded. Even when I was a dumb 12-year old and listened to hip-hop, I used to look at the girls in the music videos and think, "Well, I guess I'll find that attractive when I get older, right?" No. It looks just as gross 19 years later.
tfw the only time i die in that game is when i try to land the car in a rush.
Fucking branches.
Austin Rodriguez
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that it was actually Jenova breaking out of the container and transforming into a sephiroth form, not sephiroth coming in and waking up the corpse?
Lucas Rodriguez
Ive put 200 hours into 15 over 2 playthroughs and that is legitimately the only thing thats ever killed me in that game
Jose Hughes
I thought it was sephiroth exerting his will and controlling the jenova to take his form And that it may or may not have had something to do with clouds jenova and sephiroth cells being in proximity but that may have been head cannon
AND THAT'S WHY WE DON'T HAVE FUCKING FLYING CARS BRAINLETS
Carson Cox
If you're playing blind you will get your shit wrecked by that snake asshole, don't even pretend you can't.
Joshua Peterson
It'd be nice to have a DLC or extra content showing that shinra at least put up SOME sort of fight and its not just "oh shit, sephiroth wandered in. Well guess everyone's dead".
Wonder what the boss fight would be since sephiroth would be solo, meaning there'd be no way to have the mechanics about breaking allies free or anything.
I'll give Crisis Core some slack, it was a PSP spinoff game by a hack director that had no idea what it wanted to be as either a prequel or some real fanfiction shit. But still, that doesn't excuse it from being a questionable pile of arse.
Thomas Howard
The combat system is ruined even more than it already was once you find out the slots are all gamed and come up the same every time.
Daniel Reyes
the camera following it going up in the air makes it so funny for me
Jack Roberts
I Must go; My planet needs me. (note: Noctis died on the way back to his homeplanet)
Robert Lee
I didn't like how leveling in Crisis Core felt random as fuck.
There would be times I would go an hour or so and not level up and then get like 6 levels in a boss fight.
Julian Perry
Anyone have that webm where the soldiers are attacking them during a cutscene?
Reminder that Tifa has skulls on her skirt Reminder that Tifa calls other people retards Reminder that Tifa listens to hardcore punk all day Reminder that Tifa has a drinking problem Reminder that the country girl Cloud fell in love with is now a ruffian and he's depressed because of it Reminder that Rinoa is the superior FF girl because she makes Squall happy and respects him as a manly protector.
Squall is Rinoa's sloppy second rebound. She had a thing with Seifer, she didn't even know Squall existed. She's also probably evil, at least secretly. I'm not saying she's Ultimecia, I'm saying she's a magic-using scumbag and maybe she was all along and she didn't just "turn" into a sorceress.
Ethan Rogers
They're already in correct FMK order in that picture.

>You can hold L3 to sprint which should make getting around quicker than the original. Shit, I hope we can make that a toggle instead.
I think that would kind of diminish the terror you'd get from only seeing the grisly aftermath through the eyes of Cloud and the gang, like when The Twin Snakes made a big flashy cutscene out of Gray Fox chopping up the soldiers in the hallway while Snake watches. Less is more and all that.
Now, controllable Sephiroth during the Nibelheim flashback would be fucking awesome. I'd make a separate save file just to play that over and over again.

Rinoa is cute and genuinely goes from liking Seifer as a crush to loving Squall as a future husband
>>You can hold L3 to sprint which should make getting around quicker than the original. >Shit, I hope we can make that a toggle instead.
I hope there is no unnecessary stamina meter shit, like what 15 had.

>push for action combat because turn based is for babies >"is there difficul-" >SHUT UP FINAL FANTASY IS NEVER MEANT TO BE HARD IT'S EXCLUSIVELY ABOUT STORY
also, >give up any pure remake direction to suck nomura's cock saying it's a new game >bring up difficulty >THIS ONE THING THAT WAS OBJECTIVELY BAD IN THE ORIGINAL SHOULD REMAIN TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL
VIIR will tarnish whatever good memories people had of VII and it will be another XV dumpsterfire. Square is never going to make a good mainline final fantasy again because of rabid drones like you.
Grayson Rivera
>people believed fake news that preliminary CC2 work was all scrapped journos want to nail down x number of games when they have said 1000x that it isn't a 1-to-1 remake and as they go along they're going to expand and add more to the original game.

She would get drunk, depressed, then would want a hug....and then punch you in the stomach for giving her a hug

>attacking enemies is tedious shit moron
Oliver Bailey
The original game had that one example of it, and it wasn't action-oriented at all. You're ignoring the point just to make a comparison to what is essentially a completely different style of game. This is probably going to be pretty common in the remake, given we've already seen multiple instances of it, and since you have brainless AI team-members who will probably do fuckall to avoid shit like this, it's going to be a goddamn annoying chore. That's entirely different than having it as a mechanic in one fight in a game where you have completely control over your entire party.
Joshua Cook
Why are this deleted? Do shills want that much control over the thread or what?
Funny scene (spoilers I guess?): Barret says that he can hear the planet calling out to him in pain. Cloud asks him if he can really hear it. Barret replies, damn straight I do and Cloud retorts (deadpan) “Get help.” This prompts Barret to get in his face and tells him to say that to him again.
>Did they remove that gay shit from FFXV where you can use phoenix downs on yourself even after dying, rendering every fight a battle of attrition and making it virtually impossible to lose? Yes, because using an item in battle requires an ATB pip now. So you can't just spam healing items on yourself ad finitum, or spam pheonix downs
Cameron Rogers
>We have our own internal schedule and plan, but for now we’d like to focus our information on the first game in the project. This part also contradicts earlier "info", where it was said that supposedly SE doesn't know themselves what they are doing. Someone somewhere is spreading misinformation.
Liam Wright
no, those don't contradict each other. They might not have a plan for the games but they can still have the structure to plan it
Except it wasn't the only time. There was also that robot boss in the submarine boss battle, or even worse getting your companion or companions "removed from battle" alltogether not being able to get them back for the entire battle. And you shouldn't talk about the AI until we actually see how the AI performs and how many options there are to set their behaviour (return of the Gambit system?)
Jackson Nguyen
>dying to emerald
Yikes
Jaxon Long
>no, those don't contradict each other. They might not have a plan for the games but they can still have the structure to plan it The quote I was referencing outright says that they do have "internal plans".
Connor Scott
was carry armor that hard? I must have been overleveled because i dont remember that at all
Adrian Turner
technically the other quote only said they don't know how many games they're making not that they don't have plans
it's a decent roadblock. Being able to randomly turn your three person party into a one person party is not fun
Josiah Stewart
>fixed her design to be less... ugh, hire me square
