Indisputable GOTY 2019
Goddamn what and excellent experience this was
Finally, I don't have to give Tim Swinecunt my money by buying it on the Epic store. It's not quite Steam, but at least there's much less jewry involved.
You won't regret it, great atmosphere, great characterization, great soundtrack. Fun game.
How does this work? I subscribed for a dollar, but when I try to install Metro, it says I don't have a compatible device. Plus, it says it's only on Xbox One.
>windows 10 only
Find "Metro Exodus (Windows)".
Right now to play it you need a Windows update that I had to opt into the Insider Program to get. Dunno if that's something to do with my country, but all it is is just a signup, update and restart.
How is Vladivostok look in this game?
Update your windows
Needs the may win10 v1903 update
Oh.
Yeah, I went to get the gamepass when it was announced but I run windows 7.
Oh well, at least I'm only out a dollar.
Enjoy, it's really fucking good.
They never go to Vladivostok
Is it worth pirating?
>Epic is so bad people use Microsoft store
So this is the power of actual competition
Дa нy, нa хyй c этим yкpaинcкoм гoвнoм тoгдa
Meh. Jankier than the previous games. Catastrophic voice acting. Inconsistent visuals. Weak gunplay and pointless "immersive" features similar to RDR2.
It's a 3/10 if I'm feeling kind.
I really liked the first and second game, but something was lost with this one. Despite the journey being a huge leap story wise, it didn't really seem like anything happened in it. And the three big levels or worlds or what you want to call them weren't that interesting. And I didn't like the main way dialog was done, where it was standing there for up to 10 minutes to listen to your crew also stand there and talk.
Only yamantau, taiga and dead city was kino
Rest were open world boring shit
you can refund it at the microsoft website.
>protip: you can refund it for full even after playing some games for a couple weeks
It was pretty good, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sweetie Sweenie paying for my copy was even better.
How would you describe the level design, friends who have played it? I loved the more linear 2033 and after playing 657 open world games I always have my reservations when a game goes to that genre.
Sidequests take place in smaller areas, maybe a factory with some sniper nests and a generator you need to find gas to start to open the warehouse you need to go in. Main quests will take you to the larger areas, that play out more like the bigger linear areas like in 2033. I thought the monsters around the open world were more of a nusiance than anything and you really don't get any rewards for taking them down. They are only there to slow you down. The first area is terrible due to having to use a rowboat to cross canals, it's very slow and there are constantly giant lobsters you have to watch out for, who will attack you on your boat. The open worlds are small, but they find ways to constantly interrupt your trek so it takes longer to venture through. I think the only good design is the main missions which take the more linear approach, but still with multiple and open ended ways to move around the environment.
Of the 5 main areas, 3 are what I'd call excellent with the other two being between fine and good.
2 of those are linear areas as well which will probably make you happy.
Thanks, anons, sounds like good news. I do want to check it out now that I don't have to touch the EGS.
I don’t get it. I’ve played the other two Metros so much and I just thought this fucking sucked man.
Yeah, after canceling the service, they immediately refunded me. It's weird, usually most services keep the money you've paid, but then let you finish the billing term. They just stop it right away.
Same except I loved Exodus. The only parts I thought were weak were the desert and forest areas. Taiga and Novosibirsk literally made my jaw drop while playing them they were so good and beautiful.
Honestly was desperate to like it and I realised I simply didn’t when I reached the forest area, absolutely hated that area and it made me realise I wasn’t enjoying it as much as the linear games. I’ve played 2033 and Last Light multiple times but just couldn’t stick with this.
>yfw Race Against Fate starts playing at the end
I thought the overall game was okay. Gotta admit I found linear Metro more fun than open world Metro so the last few levels in the dead city was all I really enjoyed. Like other anons have said, voice acting was trash imo (English) but for some reason the ending still got me choked up a little
It was honestly pretty good. The plot was kind of weak and there were a couple bullshit segments on ranger hardcore, but the more open levels were fantastic to explore. It still isn't STALKER, but I think its worth playing get it from somewhere that doesnt give sweeney money
Wait what it's only a dollar? How does the game pass work? If I stop paying I lose the games right? Or is it like getting a game with Live where I can keep it
uninstalled this game after about 8 hours
it was pretty but so shallow, they shouldve kept in the tunnels
Thats a solid 40-50 percent of the game. Dead City is pretty short, as is the start of the game. Really only Taiga is standout. Dead City also has that obnoxious goo tunnel.
I honestly don't think the game is all that great, worse than LL and 2033 for sure.
