How does it feel to have lived long enough to see all of your favorite franchises go down in flames?
How does it feel to have lived long enough to see all of your favorite franchises go down in flames?
Not all of them are going down in flames. I still love From Software games, I still love Smash Brothers, and I still like Zelda.
Asscreed was the first one that disappointed me, starting with brotherhood
feels great
Bethesda will redeem itself in 2023 with TES6.
Modern Paper Mario hurts but I feel like I’ve moved on.
None of my favorites went down in flames, they just faded into obscurity and were forgotten.
They aren’t going down in flames, you are just aging out of them
This desu. Fallout, Mass Effect and Dishonored followed it
No, they are absolutely going down in flames. Let's not pretend that Assassins Creed and Mass Effect are in a good state.
Feels great!
>All my favorite franchises are Blizzard franchises
I don't really feel that way. I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time, though.
It's still raw, but at least romhacks are a thing. It's been coming for a while now. I lived through Silent Hill dying and I'll live through this.
>tfw you lived long enough to see one of your favorite franchises be reborn from the ashes
Now I just need Blizzard to unJUST themselves and I can die happy. Stay motivated, lads.
Feels great living long anough to see your favorite franchise going down in Flames just to be reborn again better than ever.
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>Hitman
Best it's ever been.
>Commandos
Getting a HD remake of the best game, and a sequel is in the works.
>Desperados
Sequel in the works by a god tier studio.
>ARMA 3
Honestly hasn't changed since OFP, modding community is the biggest and best it's ever been, devs keep plugging away improving it.
>Jagged Alliance
Keeps getting raped mercilessly, feels bad, real fucking bad.
>Thief
Got groped once but it wasn't all bad, then had a train run on it by French Canadians who filled each and every orifice with baguettes and pumped it full of poutine until it died.
>Splinter Cell
I'm honestly glad it's dead, Conviction and Blacklist were offensive enough as it is, I can't even imagine what modern Ubisoft would fucking do to it.
This but with Hitman

>tfw you lived long enough to see your favorite franchise get murdered and its corpse pissed on, then gloriously revived over ten years later
Banjo Kazooie and Tooie HD on Xbox 360 were fucking perfect.
Like most things, there's ups and downs in life. Why is this hard for people to grasp? Some games in a series might suck, but then they can turn it around and knock it out with great ones yet again.
Feels great.
