It's been a year and I still can't get over how good this game was.

OP was pretty dumb and mistake the picture, here's what he really meant

Attached: horizon-zero-dawn-playstation-4-Cover.jpg (521x664, 108K)

just think about how good cyberpunk is gonna be

AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH

TW1 had even more soul but more jank to match it

So soul is the new slang for shit with the zoomsters or what?

OH NONONONONONO

Soul is more often than not used by boomers to say OLD GAME GOOD

when is that game coming out?

>great source material
>good adaptation of said material

i don't care that combat isn't special, the first time i played that game and saw the trees and bushes hussle in the wind, all the little hamlets etc. i couldn't stop thinking about it

why cant i get into the witcher bros
its just so fucking boring holy shit

its got great world building and shit i just cannot for the life of me play it for more than 20 minutes

Attached: 1558308969148.jpg (615x615, 100K)

ADHD and inability to value stories

It's alright bro. It's not for everyone

The confirmed date for PC is "never ever"

what rpg's did you like?

Did you say soul?

Attached: -29.png (856x483, 849K)

The gameplay is consistently straight up garbage, it means you value it above graphix and netflix original tier storytelling r i.e you have good taste.

It's because it's boring and unsatisfying, only basedbois really like it, there are plenty of other games with better story and gameplay

this

Monster Hunter did a better Geralt experience than any of the actual games

How do I get past the first hour? I have gotten to the a wraith after the very first village 3 times and either outran it or my horse got caught on something and spooked me off, and I just feel like for some reason I don’t want to continue playing
I really wanna like this game but the actual gameplay just feels so red-Flaggy in that first half hour, like it’s gonna be a clunky mess

tyranny (dont judge), lots of older bioware shit like me1, both kotors and dragon age origins, plus new vegas - pretty standard taste

friend of mine got me try p5 and ever since i beat ive been playing the series backwards, i just got p3 yesterday

You are still in the tutorial.

If you give up during tutorial you don't deserve the game you are playing.

WItcher 3 had this Slavic authenticity in it, and this won't be in Cyberpunk...
The villagers and their folk character and all their hardships, the supernatural stuff like the Ladies of the Wood... Those things are probably going to be missing.

Play up to the bloody baron questline drop it afterwards because it peaks there

Your senses are well-attuned. The gameplay IS a clunky mess with weird responsiveness. You either power through that and enjoy the good parts or no.

Geralt was in monster hunter?

>more than 20 minutes
Jesus Christ with that weak concentration go play minecraft dude

>peaks there
>not HoS
>or B&W

its literally just the same stupid quests and mind numbing gameplay over and over and over and over and over and over

if i wanted to dodge attacks all the fucking time id go play dark souls/bloodborne again

>HoS
>spend 60% of the DLC being bored at a wedding

Yes.

Like pottery

imagine if they put him in cp as ceo of some bodymod corpo
the amount of butthurt would be hilarious

try 2 years for me m9

its a dystopian setting though there will probably still be dark themes

First time I played Witcher 3 I got stuck at the first boss and ditched the game.
Tried playing it again a year later and it clicked. Did Every quest the was and played it twice, the second time on Death March.
Keep playing until you finish the Bloody Baron questline.
You are currently at the tutorial, like literally.

This game was pretty fucking great, but it came out when i was sick as fuck of open world games and their endless walking. This doesn't have it that much though, because quests usually happen in the same place or places near. Still, i would have preferred big hubs.

I just finished this game today and got the worst ending possible, and now im left with emptiness

>How can a game have so much soul in it?
The obvious answer is the correct one. CD Projekt Red gave the game a metric fuck-ton of time, money, and developer effort to make sure it turned out perfectly.

They put over $80 million dollars into the development of the game (this figure doesn't even account for marketing costs which were likely just as high). They had over 250 employees working full-time on the game. The game was planned since 2008 and they began working on it full-time in 2011 which gave them about 4 years of development time.

It wasn't magic or the stars aligning that made the game so popular. It was just an absolutely insane amount of effort on their part to see it succeed.

what ending did you get?
and did you finish blood and wine before finishing main quest?

>Feeling emptiness over the most appropriate and kino ending
No Witcher has ever died in his bed, user.

I fucked up the romance and the Radovid questline, and I was sad/mad too.
I can imagine how much it sucks to fuck up Ciri's questline.
Time to start anew.

you wont even be high enough level to do blood and wine before main quest, both expacs are meant to be played after you finish the game

Although, I must admit, the bad ending is absolute kino.

It is for sure the most kino ending and fits the witcher perfectly but involving yourself in 100 hours of gameplay to protect ciri and her ultimately dying makes me not want to continue the dlcs or other sidequest...

provides zero examples, opinion disregarded

it is the best ending, the others are pure fairy tale nonsense

Well there is your problem. Every weeb i know doesnt like the game. Just bad taste user, sorry you will never ever experience a true masterpiece.

Attached: bart.jpg (250x300, 21K)

might be the only time a game has made me teary eyed

Attached: g.png (1247x701, 1.31M)

This tbqh
I had no idea you had to play gwent with the dwarves to proceed so I ended up just waiting for 20 minutes.

And you really feel the effort, too. That's what I love about it. Everything in the game just feels like it was worked so hard on to make it as good as possible. Almost every sidequest feels like it was belabored over with love and care

I don't watch anime but I love and play a lot of nip games. I liked TW3.

what the fuck. that wedding quest is one of the best quests in the whole game.

Not true. One of HoS endings can even help you get the good ending in the main quest.

Novigrad portion should have been shorter, Skellige portion should have been longer.

3's DLC > 1 > 3 > 2
all of the games and books are good though
youtube.com/watch?v=G3cqBVgxca4

Attached: witcher1.jpg (1280x720, 130K)

its just a shit series overrated by people who just dont have any taste. the gameplay is elder scrolls tier of awful

Yeah, I don't think HoS explicitly takes place after the main story, but CDPR assumed most people will have finished the base game so balanced the expansion around that fact. B&W explicitly takes place three years after the conclusion of the main story, though.

how was this DLC so good

Attached: maxresdefault (11).jpg (1280x720, 175K)

I don't get the love for TW1's soundtrack. It's not bad by any means, but the single best thing CDPR did for the franchise was hire Marcin Przybyłowicz.

literal shit,I had more funny with garbage called call of duty than this boring shit game.

just got the game and the werewolf is rekting me. send help pls

Are you purposefully ignoring non-sword things like signs, potions, oils, and bombs?

TW3 was too commercialized and widely acclaimed to have soul.

1 and 2 were very soulful however.

>change of landscape from the main-game
>great ost
>lighter moments and characters but also evil that contrasted with the peace
>comfy quests like wineries
>shitload of new content incl another tier of witcher armour
>soul
youtube.com/watch?v=KtIMem0mswE&list=PL3-Zr0Ym0FgxRuO1rOe9vlka59uJKVITn&index=18

2 had some soul but the made-for-console feel to it made it feel more commercialised

i tried the signs but i should prob get bombs.

Because it had the best character of the entire saga.

Attached: latest[1].jpg (1440x1920, 2.17M)

>hurr niche soul popular soulless
That's somehow even fucking stupider than "old soul new soulless." Congratulations.

>Accept payment from king with too much money
>That money can build a better life for Ciri and Geralt

>Game holds this against me

>its """""""""""""''RPG""""""""""""""
>your choices are limited to being this drunk dude and hitting things with sword or this other sword
>combat is even worse
Its shit

Why do you retards use so many quotation marks?

Popular = appeals to NPCs = does not contain soul.

Cult following = appeals to niche that appreciates the details = soulful.

For example: Gothic, Risen, VTMB, Simpsons Hit and Run.

Man, I remember being 14. I hope I wasn't this much of a twat.

Also need help on this
The werewolf at Whispering Hillock regenerates faster than I can do damage.

To make CDPR shills and polish toilet cleaners mad.

This is either true retardation or the most honest contrarianism I've ever seen.

>shitcher 3
>soul
haha, nice joke bro

Attached: PeJ.gif (371x312, 85K)

You disappointed Ciri and then instead of showing her you did it for her and only her by not asking anything from Emhyr, you allowed her to doubt you by being a greedy fuck.

Werewolfs are one the few enemies where oils are actually useful. Make some oil and stock up on some firebombs

you may have hid your name but not xcnc's name

>i personally did not enjoy it therefore no one can

>following the witcher code
>bad

Throw a Moon Dust bomb at him.

>white male protagonist
>no racial minorities
>sexualized female characters
>hero gets to sleep around as much as he wants and isn't punished for it
How did they get away with it in this day and age?

Attached: geralt.png (800x469, 566K)

>I really enjoy wicther: skyrim

Moon Dust stops their regen. And I think it can prevent them from summoning wolves.

they cant ever make armpits right. I just want sexy armpits to jerk off to

Um, alright? Good post i guess?

For my entire first playthrough I had no idea that any alchemy items that you had crafted once were refilled when meditating, so I skipped alchemy completely because it felt like too much of a chore to run around looking for the right ingredients all the time.

ah yes because simpsons hit and run was definitely not popular among normies. and who could forgot the the incredibly small niche, of the entirety of people in germany who play RPGs, that played gothic.
youre a retard and risen is shit

>Ciri is a monster and Emhyr had a contract for her

>they cant ever make armpits right.
Because of the nature of wrapping a 2D texture around a 3D model. You have to hide the seams somewhere.

Dont feel too bad. First playthrough I accidentally did a new upgrade run because I didnt know that you had to actually activate your skills after purchasing them

even soul calibur 6 made him good, i just can't understand how witcher 3 is so bad on the gameplay, while witcher 2 was good, anyone else feel like the open world is a filler? it seems like the put a lot of effort on it, and let the gameplay to some indie assholes

>no racial minorities
There are elves and dwarves.

Did that for half the game. Only clicked when I got the permanent place of power skill and it wasn't working and I thought it was a bug.

I was gonna post a cordial reply but then you said Risen is shit. Now I realize you just have soulless taste. Sad. Many such cases.

And you can get them killed and arrested if you want.

Lmao that reminds me, I forgot about the skill system completely after level 5.
It wasn't until I was done with all questlines and riding around Toussaint at level 55 that I remembered that the game has skill points and perks.

trash

You are know reminded that Netflix is releasing their Americanized “modern” take on Witcher this year.
Enjoy

>B&W explicitly takes place three years after the conclusion of the main story, though.
No. What? How far up your intestinal tract did you have to reach to pull that out?

Slavs are literally masters at making fantasy rpgs with SOUL

Reading some of the notes in Blood and Wine you can piece together it is happening a few years after the main game

The game fucking tells you what year it is, doofus. It says "Toussaint 1275." That's three years after the events of the game.

The combat system was absolute garbage, the rest was okay.

I couldn't get past the movement and combat it was so clunky and cumbersome.

You tried the soý option they added for weaklings?

wait, what winery quest?

I never said it was hard. It just felt like shit to actually play.

I’ve only played a single game that had the same comfy soul feeling since, and that was RDR2.

Hence they added the alternative soý control option

You're fucking retarded. Regardless of what you think about the game, he's right, the combat is absolute garbage.

What's that?

I hope this was a poor attempt at a joke. Knowing that someone has such poor taste to actually like HZD is day ruining for me.

that series was dead the moment they gave it to an American
wine wars where help the guy or the girl

Ah yes.. polish people.. villagers and leshens

Clocked in 100h on console when it first launched 4 years ago, just bought it again on Steam

Made by traditional white people.

>tfw started watching more anime and playing weeb games and dont like tw3 anymore

Hi resetera

So the main game story is pretty bad, makes replays an absolute chore. Hearts of Stone is excellent story wise, very good experience but could constant use a few more rpg style choices in the story. Blood and wine is very good, not as good as hearts of stone but there’s a major branching point near the end of the story that’s really cool.

It’s a great game, can’t replay it for the life of me because the gameplay mechanics suck compared to RDR2 for example. Witcher 2 outdid it in story.

All the soul in the world can't make up for shit gameplay

I've gotten a little passed the Bloody Baron quest and honestly - I think you have to go all in and otherwise not bother.
By that I mean to get maximum enjoyment you will have to actually know about and more importantly give a fuck about these characters. You gotta start from the first game and be in it for the long haul. That way narrative beats have impact, like when a character betrays you or dies.
I've tried playing TW3 after filling my head with dozens of recaps but it simply isn't the same as being an invested fan.
So, you essentially just have to be a fucking fan of the series. Who would have thought.
Try the first game and see if it hooks you, then go on from there.
Or alternatively read the books and see if they grip you enough to get thru the games.

Also if you're on PC, a mod that removes the rubberbanding of levels should definitely improve the experience.

The liberal stuff that CDPR puts in their games is at least tasteful

Wouldn't even be stretching the canon, it's strongly hinted that Ciri hid-out in the Cyberpunk universe to escape the Wild Hunt. O'Dimm is beyond even her in terms of power so him being there in the background would be a neat easter-egg. I'll honestly be disappointed if they don't at least reference Ciri in it, she doesn't even need to talk to the PC, you could just see her run down a blind alleyway, you follow her and she's gone (teleported) mysteriously, have the PC comment on it and that's it

I think their understated stuff is the reason why the SJWs are so furious, unless CDPR virtue-signals at every turn they think they are racist/sexist/etc. Because they don't actually play the game, they look at (cherry picked) screenshots and just make up their mind instantly

Poor man’s Breath of the Wild.

Witcher Geralt, I'm Woman Capt'n.

>Bland boring main character that's basically a blank slate
>Childishly simple good vs. evil plot
>Relatively shallow lore and game-world
Maybe if you don't give a shit about story

Wrong. It is a poor mans RDR2 though.
