I just started Borderlands 2 yesterday and the game feels hard to play. Enemies tend to sponge damage and the weapons I've received are all high fire rate, low damage with tons of recoil.
Do I just use my Robot summon to attack enemies and then wait 60 seconds for it to come back whenever I fight a group of enemies?
What's the deal with every single character trying to be so wacky and funny?

at some point you get a weapon that shows off high stats and a skill on your left skill tree allows you to recoil bullets off walls to hit enemies with half the damage basicly that gun is absolutly useless but with that one skill alone it becomes the most powerful weapon in the game

His individual dialogues were great, but mostly improvised.
His actual written character was a meandering mess and the Pre-Sequel only confused him further.

desu I wanted to be Turret man because turrets are my vidya fetish but they suck ass in like every game so I didn't bother.
I put points into that skill because my headshot aim is bad so I thought the chance to still deal some damage would be nice, pretty early in the game though I think.
The inaccuracy stacks sounded bad to me since all my guns have terrible aim right now. I'll try it though.
To me it sounded like a skill that would really bloom mid or late game with AoE guns.

it does bloom later, but the problem is that in the late game enemies that can easily one-hit KO you appear, specifically during the second playthrough and beyond
Blaster Nomads, Blaster Goliaths, RPG Loaders, pretty much any enemy with the ability to deal heavy DOT, they can knock you down easy and dying means starting all over again, it can be frustrating if you get surprised that way
