Now that we know a sequel to BOTW is definitely happening, what do you want to see appearing in it? Personally, I'm hoping for bigger and better dungeons than the weak sauce we got in the first game.

better combat
real dungeons
more enemies
a story where all the interesting things didn't happen 100 years ago

Basically I want a traditional Zelda but with BOTW's open ended design

>bigger and better dungeons than the weak sauce we got in the first game
This, I'm tired of similar looking shrines and running inside giant robots to kill blackish red goo monsters.

Dungeons, more enemy variety, better weapon system.

Basically, the engine is good but aesthetics need more variety.

A new 'experimental' gameplay mechanic that completely overhauls how you play the game compared to BOTW (a la Majora)
Darker atmosphere
More expansive dungeons
then it'd basically be a 10/10 for me

-Fix the enemies variation. Bring back, poes, redeads, stalfos, darknuts, deku babas etc
-Tone down the shrines a bit to favour some real dungeons. The former can still exist and be attached to the hearts/stamina system.
-Bring back caves and underwater exploration.
-Music needs some revision too. Environmental sounds only in the overworld are not cutting anymore.

>what do you want to see appearing in it?
Well developed plot and backstory for Zelda if she's playable.

That image offended me so I tried to decrapify it with my limited (i.e. practically non-existant) photoshop skills. I'm sure someone could do a much more professional job than me

Better dungeons of course
Better enemy variety and combat depth
More runes/items, the four we got in BotW were extremely well implemented but having them be the solution to everything made puzzles too simple
More unique architecture and area design, there was too much samey wilderness in BotW outside of a few standout areas.
A story that actually happens in the present instead of just picking up the pieces of the past.
More boss monsters
A new big bad instead of just dorf again, maybe something trying to use dorf as the vessel, learn more about the malice, hopefully its something greater than dorf.
YIGA
Please don't literally use the same Hyrule again Nintendo, please, even though I know you will. At least have some kind of second world of some sort, retreading the same map again would be lame as fuck.

I would like TP level variety of enemies, with even better combat. Given that they've reused the engine and a lot of the overworld, I hope they'll flesh it out with lots of cool area corresponding monsters.

I'd like a subterranean hive sort of thing with underground areas, maybe tying into the labyrinths. That said, I'd like there to be themed dungeons as well, not 4, maybe 6 or 7.

I'd like to have a lot more stuff to do in the overworld than korok hunting, so lots of sidequests and new landmarks to explore would be good too.

I'd also like to see a new sort of system revolving around weapons, maybe storage areas and things like that. Definitely more themed dungeon items, or things in the dungeon that power up link's arm to solve puzzles.

On the point of puzzles, shrines were cool but again it needs more of a theme thing.

One thing I heard from an user earlier would be situational quests that are only playable as link or zelda, meaning that you can give zelda some character depth too, maybe even make her respond, along player prompted dialogue routes.

Gonna cut short my 1am ramble though.

Cuter outfits.

A lot of dialogue. Comfiest thing ever to talk to people in botw.

I think that green energy covering Link's hand will be related to some magic ability he gains. This might be the first time we get a dedicated magic bar since fucking Wind Waker. Spirit Orbs would now have to be split between three stats: Hearts, stamina and magic. Although to balance this, they might give you more hearts and stamina at the start. I just hope this doesn't mean that Shrines will once again replace proper dungeons.

>New structures in the overworld to explore
>Play as Zelda in overworld who cannot climb like link
>Tons of npc quests
>A couple of overworld dungeons for Zelda to user her magic
>Link trapped in the inner connected cavernous underworld
>it’s one giant hyrule castle style dungeon
>keep weapon degradation
>underwater sections

A couple of big sweeping mechanics a la Majora’s Mask. I actually really want transformations back, that’d be really fun in a big open world.

I hope the emphasis remains on exploration and freedom. I don’t really miss dungeons. Areas like Hyrule Castle are more interesting to me.

Playable Zelda with possible swimsuit costumes please. I'd love to venture in dungeon and defeat bosses to save Hyrule in a swimsuit.

Combine the survival elements of BotW with classic Zelda dungeon crawling, plus an actual narrative. Imagine having to actually prepare before going into, like, the Shadow Temple.

Attached: 1532903611964.jpg (186x316, 15K)

>having to camp out and survive extreme temperature conditions in a really long dungeon
It would need some tweaks so the survival system can't be broken so easily like in BotW, but I'm on board.

dual play as Link and/or Zelda. After they're separated you play as one in the depths of Hyrule while the other is stuck on the floating continent

I want to bring the world back to life.
Let me help people create new villages or tame monster infested lands.

I can't help but wonder "where could they go from here" and think it must be some other world. I believe it will be a parallel world, as zelda games have a history of such and new assets aren't freely available for this game because I believe that the real next mainline zelda is being worked on simultaneously and this sequel must have a minimal amount of Nintendo's development resources while the bulk of development work goes to the next original zelda.

So what I want to see given my expectations is a sequel that has no shrines or korok seeds and instead focuses on storytelling and includes elaborate enormous labyrinths, each of high distinction and inspired concept. I want more lore and more character scenes.

All village ruins to be rebuilt villages, including Castle Town, just with the townsfolk going crazy over the gaping crater of where the castle was.
I'm assuming it'll be upgraded with the coming of an enhanced Switch and is probably going to be bundled with it to sell the system, so Korok Forest really needs to be stable.
The new mounts to include all big animals, Loftwings, as well as Satori, just make them require special saddles/bridles gained from side quests do they feel earned.
Amiibo support to not be copy/pasted from BOTW.
BOTW should have had a quest where you revive Epona from 100 years ago through the Horse God Malanya and I hope Epona won't be tied to the Amiibo.
Zonai Tribe to appear or have more lore around them.
I really love Master Cycle, so having it earlier would be fun.
The game should check your BotW save to see if you've gotten all of the shitty useless key items gained from collecting absolutely everything and reward you in BotW 2 as well as carrying over Saddles/Bridles.
If we do get playable Zelda either change her animations if she'll play like Link so it feels different, make her optional to play as or just have her be a character you get quests from.
Make armour inventory hold all of the armour that's available and not get completely filled which can cause you to be unable to get the Thunder Helm or Champion's Shirt
Dungeons
Maybe 40 Shrines in the underground
Overworld bosses and unique bosses that you need to defeat to get cool secret weapons and if you defeat them early, make them extremely difficult to defeat.
Storage for weapons so if there are secret weapons, make them break over time but reparable through a castle town blacksmith.
If there's a new robot arm, make it part of the combat, like grabbing an enemy to pull them closer or open up lots of great combos and don't have climbing trivialised by a clawshot, which they didn't put in for that very reason.

>Direct Zelda sequel
I dunno chief.

I have more actually
Create a museum sort of area where you place everything from the Compendium, because I like autistic collection shit like this.
The Picori and River Zora tribes to be in the game and bringing them together with the Koroks and friendly Zora which would give us something to do in Korok Forest and Akkala again
And asking a lot, but the Twilight Realm with a new ruler and just references to Midna.
Having a wolf to train and have use the Wolf Link AI as a companion would also be nice.

More dungeons, more story, more stuff in general.
Honestly, BOTW has the best foundation for a Zelda game, so if they just use that and fill it with more story content, I'll be golden

I think that'll be there, at least based on the cutscene stuff.
It seems that Zelda and Link are traversing deep into some subterannean structure, deep enough that they have to bring a pack-animal to carry all their stuff.
I'm guessing there will be a survival element where you have to manage food and resources as you go into dungeons, and have to weigh the benefits of bringing equipment with how difficult it is to transport

Maybe one or two giant dungeons, basically have it be so big there are multiple entrances and you can initially only make so much progress into it. Pretty much anything but the castrated homogenized copy paste design of the shrines and bokoblin camps of the first game.

> real dungeons
> more enemies
I think those two are to be expected. The Divines Beast were already done, so now they need something new to replace the dungeons. And since we have the underground, we should have new monsters because of it.
> a story where all the interesting things didn't happen 100 years ago
And that is pretty much confirmed, since it's a sequel, and everything done 100 years ago was already said.

>2-3 new monsters per province, ie flare dancers in death mountain
>3-5 new world boss monsters ie Gohma
>5-7 universal monsters ie deku baba, skulltalu
>rebuilding of hyrule as comfy content when not dungeoneering
>1 dungeon per region
>loftwings and boars in addition to horses at stables
>Zelda runs a research station that upgrades your gear
>hunger, sleep, and thirst to go along with weather as environmental dangers
>underground or dark world as a 50-70% sized map to explore.
>monsters attack towns
>2-3 optional super bosses
>less gear slots but an actual durability bar per gear, can repair items
>hookshot/clawshot as another means of traversal

Majora or happy mask salesman surprise appearance to set up the next game where link, zelda, and ganondorf team up to stop an eldritch incursion

Please no, that would make ZelGan and Ganlink popular once more, and I don't need that.

All I want is the hookshot back, but with proper swing physics. Make it works like that one attack on titan unity fangame where just moving around feels extremely satisfying because of the momentum inheritance

>Much lower carry capacity for items and food, requiring periodic hunting/gathering, also limits heal/stamina recovery spam
>Clothing, armor and other survival elements retain durability system, have some limits and tradeoffs, carrying a few layers recommended
>Link has the Master Sword and some other tools that don't break, no need for weapon looting
>Protecting Zelda is priority, but it's not one long escort mission, she can handle herself (or at least run somewhere safe) and help in many cases

>rebuilding of destroyed villages
>more NPCs traveling Hyrule
>the Deku Kingdom
>blacksmiths to fix your weapons or make it more durable if you chose
>Gorons, Zoras, Rito, building settlements outside of their only town.

Any ideas for new runes? I'm thinking maybe a teleportation rune like Farore's Wind that you can use to mark an area to warp to.

well to start with
>fix the detection for the slow motion
>change the way damage and armor protection is calculated
>add more enemies of all types (more region specific bosses like molduga would be nice)

>longer more complex shrines or more traditional dungeons
