Diablo without Hellfire just feels a bit too plain, but Hellfire really does reek of third-party addon. It's not bad, it just doesn't gel as well as I'd like it to.

Don't bother. Despite the UI being hard to learn the game itself is easy as fuck, and the greentext stories and autistic world generation really do a good job of distracting from the fact that the gameplay is shallow as all fuck. This is not even mentioning the fact that in the last 7+ years, the game has ONLY gotten easier and least interactive. Getting invaded is rare as fuck now (unless you generate your world and scour for a specific starting location there's a good chance you won't ever get invaded at all) and the invasion forces are piss weak.

25 and im replaying warioland 4 with an achievement mod. also been playing pokemon platinum romhack, smash ultimate and ror2. I usually only play like 2-8 hours a week even if I had the time. I cant stand any new multiplayer games, the instant gratification and repetitiviness of newer games is just very boring to me.

its this incredibly janky but also very unique and fun game, its like a medieval capitalist simulator, a ton of bugs, unpolished features, and shitty UI but also a certain charm and fun gameplay despite all of that

its a game in which you can plant evidence on a competing dynasty, become a judge, raise severity of law to the max and then execute all the members of said enemy dynasty. Though mind you, it sounds cooler than it actually is.
Thats why I had a lot of hope for the sequel, it was supposed to have all the features of the older titles, but also good UI, actually functional features and QoL improvements

Rural America is comfy but you have to make sure you find a place with decent internet. The southeast is still up-and-coming so you can find cities where things aren't too expensive but things are still vibrant and lively. The only downside is that the summers can be miserably hot and humid.

Yeah UK. Waiting list for mental health services is a joke. Done cognitive behaviour therapy a couple of times with some success, I used to not even be able to look people in the eye. It only works when you have a goal though and given how my life is completely free off responsibility and direction it's pretty difficult to think of one.

Pretty much stopped caring though. I have nothing to offer, thus I have no worth as a man or a partner. There's no benefit from me ever contributing to society. Just gonna kick back, masturbate to fat anime titties and have a laugh with my friends.

I am currently not playing anything, because I'm busy with an expansive review of Pathologic 2 which I just finished.
I will be most likely having a second run soon, and I can't wait.

Other than that, I played a LOT of Anno 1800 recently. It's a really good game. Also a lot of Shogun 2 FotS. I think I may boot up Factorio or Transport Fever someday soon again. I don't think I'll be able to play any narrative-focused game other than Pathologic for a while.

I'm looking forward to Mount and Blade 2 and (if they ever come out) obviously the two follow up stories to Pathologic 2. Other than that, not much, actually. Most of the games I was really looking forward to over the past many years came out already.
I guess Cyberpunk 2077? I know what to expect, so I do not anticipate to have my mind blown: but I think it will be still worth playing, if ultimately generic in gameplay.

I hope Transport Fever 2 turns out good, and I'm curious what the guys behind Warhorse will come out with.

CBT is the bruteforce of psychological care. Great success rate, but works only under certain conditions. You really should look into other options. I'm speaking from experience: It's worth it.

I did a couple of free BJJ classes in January and really enjoyed it, I was going to join the gym but had to lend my mum money in back-rent to our previous landlord then we moved house. Never really got around to it and couldn't really afford it till now.

That is more or less how CBT goes, all right. That, exposition therapy and extreme emphasis on routines and discipline. It really IS a good method, just statistically speaking the most succesfull one in the world, but for some people, it's not just not working: it can become torture.
I've recieved intensive care/treatment in one of the most renowned centers for CBT in my country and in fact, in this part of the whole world. It was fascinating to participate on it - when it wasn't down right painfull - but I could not even finish the damn course.
It just DID NOT WORK. For reasons very similar to ones you mention. Although I have later on learned that my confidence in being in tune with my feelings has not been entirely justified (watch out for that, really - it's very easy to think you know yourself, but the odds are, you don't).
For the most part, it really was just torture and frustration, and the only thing I really learned from it is just how much I fucking HATE being subjected to CBT.

I have not yet resolved my issues, but I have tried other paths and the results did appear: my life is often shit, far more often than it should be, but GOD DAMN I'm glad I did not give up and continued trying other therapies.

Used to think I'm absolutely useless to the world as well. Turns out: I'm not. I'm just often useless: but the moments of respite are enough to make me live again.

Modern game devs don't develop game worlds, they develop "systems" and try to make it so that every player has a great experience through a ridiculous balancing act of all of these systems. Rockstar is the ONLY studio who can do this properly. Everyone else just winds up making games with shit combat, shit enemy encounters, shit weapons, shit loot, shit quest design, etc because the variables for all of those elements are generated by systems, not by humans. In a real game the weapons are hand placed, have set damage values, enemies are hand placed and have set damage values, and with those a HUMAN designs the encounter to maximize player fun. This works for RPGs as well as action games.

I'm 5 hours into it and I like it a lot. Currently can't decide which neuromods to pick since they all seem useful. A big drawback is the lack of any enemy variety.

CBT is fucking useless if you have childhood trauma issues. hint: most of here probably do.

Police in GTA and the wildlife/random npc encounters in RDR2. in Ubishit and the like, those systems only serve to take what could be a good player experience (exploring, looting, enemy encampment encounter) and ruin it by trying to incorporate some kind of leveling system and randomization. Been catching up on CTR to get ready for CTRNF. Found Rez Infinite at my local game shop for 50 bucks so I had to scoop that up.

i studied computer science and work as a web developer. i'm fully aware of the capabilities and limitations that come with streaming games.
And google has two significant advantages that make be believe in the system

1. googles infrastructure and knowledge about video streaming
2. stadia is not a traditional platform. it's completely build for streaming and that's why the can optimize a whole lot more that other companies, such as sony and microsoft (with xbox) can't do.

I couldn't play Dragon Age Inquisition because the characters were specifically modeled in an incredibly ugly way on purpose. It's a real far cry from how characters looked in the first game and part of that reason is because of the public outlook on sexuality in video games. Mind you it has no effect on gameplay but devs taking criticism on how attractive women in games should or should not be is arbitrary and time should be better spent making a good model and focusing on gameplay.

I do give fucks about left wing politics and ideologies in GENERAL because, frankly, it's a major subject of my field of study and work.

Given that I have a pretty good education on the subject, my perspective is slightly different than that of most people of otherwise similiar political inclinations. To me, their influence on gaming is just a minor side symptom of much greater problem that stems from completely different roots, namely academia.

That all said, I try to not give a fuck. I have enough of that shit in my work hours, and I'm tired and sick of being angry or outraged. Especially since gaming is the worst environment to engage it.
So I try to zone it out as much as I can.

I recognize when it's done in poor taste (Wolfenstein 2, Bioware shit) and I think it has a negative impact on the quality of the games it infests, but for the industry en masse it's not really a problem. I don't get worked up about it because it's not a big deal and there's minimal impact.

The DLC is worth every penny, I just wish it was longer and hoped the new weapons were actually viable, but most of them just look and seem cool, but feel crap to use. The Moonlight Greatsword is fucking amazing though.

Just come play planetside 2. The franchise is practically "how big of a map and how many players can we fit into a halo lobby?" and they answered with 60 regular maps worth and ~1000 + people. Because it's based on culture. How people are raised around the environment and how they are taught. Or if they are too generous. Well you already know that. The point is. It's not just that. I mentioned Nature. And indeed, the media is part of that nature. And that media exaggerates and raises a child in that environment, so indeed, some women will listen to what the media will say because it's "raising her".
