>sword in right hand
Reeeee

Because people don't want a focused Zelda with long fucking dungeons

Maybe the people who hated it said why they hated it, but you were too bust jumping here to ask why.

Plenty of people like it.

garbage overworld and the dungeons weren't that good aside from the water temple.

>Slow pacing
>Skyworld itself is empty
>Visiting the same 3 locations 3 times
>Fi interrupting you over obvious things more than any other sidekick
>Fighting the same boss 3 times

Linear
Waggle Controls
Pasty Graphics

botw with skyward sword length dungeons would be kino

I thought TP had the best dungeons

waggle
slow as fuck
dungeons repeatedly reuse themes, you revisit each location multiple times
SLOW AS SHIT
waggle
Zelda gets put into a fridge for no reason other than fuck you it's Zelda and that's how it should always be even though her character in this one is a knight traniee just like Link
Master, there's a 98% chance I will annoy you permanently
that fucking tentacle boss
more fucking waggle you stupid idiot
the only time waggle actually feels satisfying (the final boss) is over in one minute

>Focused
It was on rails. On fucking rails. Only in the last seventh of the game do you have any say on where to go nexr.

I liked it.

Skyward Sword is amazing
>MUH MOTION CONTROLS
>OLD GOOD
>NEW BAD

>great combat
>almost completely stationary, 99% of battles are about staying still and swinging in the correct direction with the Wii's awful motion controls

>gameplay in a video game doesn't mater lol

I felt kinda blueballed from the flying segments, I thought they were gonna more freeform and magical like the ocean in windwaker was. I don't mind the game being linear but if you're gonna have a setting with an open sky and a way to traverse it I'm gonna be pissed off if I'm not able to fuck around with it more.
But the thing that really soured my experience was the waggle controls. They're not optional, they're an omnipresent mechanic and they kinda suck. Not only is motion control technology not good enough for what the game was trying to do with it, it meant that you could never have a chill session to play skyward sword because you'd have to stand up and wave the controller around like a jackass to do ANYTHING.
The motion controls weren't there to make the game better, they were there to force the Wii into being relevant.

But Skyward Sword was alright. I just won't go back to playing it again; I tried once and after an hour or two of waggling I decided it wasn't worth it since I already knew what was going to happen.

>extremely long intro (3 hours before you really even get to play)
>lots of handholding
>sky overworld is extremely lacklustre
>Fi never shuts the fuck up
>Fi outright ruins "a-ha!" moments for the player in some situations
>orb collection thing was mediocre, reminded me too much of bug killing in TP
>atleast 50% of people had the motion controls bug out on them making the game frustrating to play

I really liked it, but it definitely has its share of flaws

stop trying to force
>muh zelda cycle
you insufferable spergs

Well, it also had:

>Barely functioning controls
>The worse helper in the franchise
>A hideous artstyle
>Completely obnoxious plot
>Replaced my boy Ganondorf with some dumbass OC

It was my favorite before BOTW. Now it's my second favorite.

The swan song for the fantasy genre. They don't make 'em like this no more.

people didn't read the first bit of text when the game boots up that tells them how to callibrate the wii motion plus

but the story really flops over after the water cistern, the finale is the most unpolished and unsatisfying part of the game

it could have been great with an extra year of development

at least the game had enemies

The sword never shut the FUCK up and treated you like a retard. Are you a retard user?

TP is clunky compared to SS. The latter is so much more polished and refined. But I do prefer the overall tone and artstyle of TP. Both end bosses were memorable to me though.

Imagine tit-fucking this man.

Not nearly as forced as trying to shove BotW greatness down our throats when that games world was so fucking boring

1. super shit controls
2. enemies that require mastery of said shit controls to beat

lets face it, if the game had traditional controls it would have been 10/10.

>botw shitposters are actual, unironic skyward sword fans
it explains everything, it's not their fault they were born retarded

also shit overworld dowsing hide and seek games

It has a number of annoying design flaws, only some of which could easily be fixed without fundamentally altering the gameplay in a theoretical remaster/remake.

>muh skyward sword boogeyman
Seething.

I fucking loved Skyward Sword, it's the only Zelda game that i've 100%. It does have huge QoL problems that really drag it down, so I understand why people aren't as fond of it as I am

>implying he wouldn't be doing the tit-fucking

SS is unironically the best Zelda game. The more open a game is the worse of a game it becomes.

>SS
>shit overworld, great dungeons
>BotW great overworld, shit dungeons
>Botw 2 will be the best of both worlds
I am ready for true zelda kino being back on the menu.
