According to Polygon who leaks everything ahead of time, the plot of the game will be this
> there’s some sort of malevolent force that, in ancient times, corrupted a hero and used that hero’s power for evil. That hero was the one wielding the trident in the wall painting and his or her body is what lies in the center of the room. I’m going to guess that it’s not Ganondorf, but I could be very wrong.

Thanks to the trickery with BotWs trailers making it look like you adventure with Zelda i think it is too early to say for sure.

A lot of the jurno outlets are reporting that Zelda will be a playable character alongside Link. I assume you'll be able to switch between the two.
