Warcraft

Now that everything's settled can we admit that this was awesome?

The cgi was impressive but the overall movie was "ok", very forgetable.
I do want more tho. When's the animated series based on WC3?

my dad like stupid sci-fi fantasy action type films
he had no idea what the fuck as going on in this movie i had to explain everything and i only knew cause i played the games

so it really had zero casual appeal

It was alright.

It was a fun movie mostly for Warcraft fans but hollywood pushed their jewish face in the development and fucked things up constantly

My mum who knows nothing about Warcraft really liked it and she doesn't care about sci-fi fantasy stuff.

Flawed in concept and execution.
Boring in every way. Not even entertaining as a bad film.

WoW fan baiting is disgusting.

The movie was so cringe.
>starts out with two goofy shrek-looking motherfuckers holding hands in bed
that's when I turned it off.
If you wanna make orc movie, at least don't make them look like complete pussies.

i'm not really sure what audience they were going for but they didnt get the comic book movie crowd or lord of the rings fans
pretty much only wow fans and your mom i think

I still can't fathom why it was live action instead of cgi.

I'd kill for an animated Arthas vs Illidan

Unironically would have been better without any human live acting. A Warcraft movie should be entirely CGI. After seeing the Orcs compared to the humans, I completely realized the regular actors were dragging the movie’s quality down into the gutter.
Also Dalaran’s retcon triggered my autism, along with some of the other retcons.

No.

I definitely would want to see a second one. Only thing I didn't like about that were the actor humans. Should have been CGI too so that they could have been bulky with massive shoulderpads too.

Oh and they did a shit job explaining things, I had to explain parts of it to my dad, though he did a decent job following along the basics. This movie was basically “lol hope you played the game/read our lore books, boys”

not to mention the casting was weak to put it mildly
and one thing that really triggers me is cgi armor and clothes on a live actor. hated it in the original spider man, still hate it today. its like a cgi body and just their head. looks so damn bad

Yeah the cast was shit, especially for the humans. Orc scenes were more memorable to me, especially the Gul’dan fight. No distractions from the CGI elements.

The cgi was incredible, until anything not CGI was also on screen.

>People liking orcs
The only problem with the movie was that they made the horde out to be reasonable and have some decent members.
All horde are scum, especially orc filth.

yeah i liked the orc stuff i felt like it should have gotten more time. i had to explain to my dad how evil gul'dan was sacrificing all the draenei cause they kinda just glossed right over that

It’s part of this “muh noble savage” shit that Blizzard has been chasing for some time. Blame Metzen.

yeah it was pretty good

best part was the Murloc

I like it, but it's not a good movie.

10/10 gryphon action though.

Attached: it didn't really bother me that Dalaran was already floating but someone always comments whenev (5120x2128, 1.89M)

I also had to explain the Draenei shit. That was so fucking stupid, there was no prelude to that where they could have shown the Orcs dragging Draenei in cages from Shattrath to at least explain the presence of Draenei and where the ones being sacrificed could have come from.

this. I'm not even a warcraft fan but I thought it was just okay. One thing that bothered me was there was like 1 fucking song that constantly got played throughout the whole movie

Dalaran in the sky triggers the shit out of me. I’m pretty sure they did it just to have something look cool. But I don’t care that they broke the life with this, I care that if by some chance they ever do the Arthas arc, they will have to change the story to accommodate this fuckup retcon they did. I just want a really cinematic version of Arthas’s WC3 downfall.

It was objectively bad as a film, it was good if you liked Warcraft.

As I said, it’s a good Warcraft spin-off but an absolutely abysmal low/trash plebian film.

How'd they make the humans look even faker than the orcs?

Really bad armor design, locations that are completely fucking fake that work very well with cgi orcs. It's a big issue with the hobbit movies. The locations would look fantastic for all fake cg shit, but then you throw airbrushed legolas in it and suddenly everything looks fucking wonky

Outta here Yao, nobody likes your bullshit.

It was shit through and through. Anyone who thinks it's good or awesome should be shot.

No Warcraft movie will be awesome unless it ends with Arthas sitting on the Frozen Throne

Way too many plots and character perspectives, second movie should keep the camera on Thrall at all times. All Times. Let stuff happen around him.

oh god, it looks like an SNL skit

It was "I clapped when I saw it: The Movie". I got my fanservice out of it, but it was hardly a good movie.

It made me realise how much Warcaft needs a reboot with a new rts and mmo. Whenever i get to read or look at what's happening in WoW lore-wise it makes me cringe.

It is just an okay movie.

It looks better in motion.

Yeah but I was on the good orcs side. They ride giant fucking wolves!

>That part where Garona was translating both the humans and the orcs
The movie was alright even if it felt like a cheap porn knockoff, and that part was absolute kino. I like this sort of bullshit

>bad armor design
And yet this is the armor design of the games. It's fucking hilarious how they got it despite how shit looking it is

Attached: 1554195243982.gif (360x360, 613K)

Naw the helmet is dicks

It was fun, because I know the lore. If I've never heard of warcraft I could understand why people didn't understand and like it.

Considering how terrible most video game movies are, this one was just okay. People who play WoW would enjoy it, but it is pretty forgettable if you don't know anything about the franchise. I wish they would keep going with it.

>Literally could have just made the Arthas trilogy
Shame.

Attached: bombing internally.gif (257x200, 1.24M)

nah only a retail cuck would like this lore rape.

Attached: 1535486465519.jpg (960x720, 71K)

was shit like every other video game movie
acting was horrible, plot was retarded, writing was fucking awful, it shat all over already established lore and holy fuck, the pacing made the movie boring as fuck

>and one thing that really triggers me is cgi armor and clothes on a live actor

I don't think they did that at any point during the movie. Pretty sure all the human stuff was real. The regular grunt and non "hero" armor is a sort of rubber / plastic but the chain parts were actual real chain mail. Heck even all the orc stuff was actually made so they could do lighting tests and other stuff for the creation of the CGI elements

It was the exact type of cringe from modern wow I was hoping they'd avoid
