It auto-mashes a button when you hold it down. Usually on modern third party controllers you can set most any button to turbo mode with the actual turbo button toggling them separately.

No, it has been tradition since DQ8 for them to release a Slime controller for whatever system is having the next mainline game. Ps2, Ps3, Ps4 all have one. Only exception is DQ10, an mmo
