Videogames died in 1999 when the (almost) last good game (Garou: Mark of the Wolves) was released; there's only a few good games after that one: Devil May Cry 1, 3 and 4, the Resident Evil 1 remake and WarioWare, Inc..
The first Castlevania is still the best game ever btw.

Take a game like No More Heroes or Bayonetta as well. Remove the cringeworthy story and fanservice, and people will drop this garbage like a dirty diaper into the trash.
