Devs have literally no excuse not to bring their games to Switch now. If it can get Witcher 3 then it can get pretty much anything.

>B-b-but GRAPHICS!!!!!

Downgraded graphics don't make the bad suddenly bad, and if "good graphics" was all your game had going for it, then it's a shit game.

At this point I expect every relevant game from the last 20 years on the Switch.

I want Arkham Collection and Metal Gear Rising

I'm unironically excited as I'll probably end up with a Switch before of an high end computer good enough to play the game optimally

>MGRR
OH YES PLEASE

They still have the "Nintendo users don't buy third parte games"

Is there any info on the new Switches?
The stronger and the weaker ones?

This has been proven completely false time and time again with the Switch

the whole point of witcher 3 was the graphics
the gameplay is trash

I'm hoping for MGS4/5

If anything it makes all the first-party exclusives like the new FE or Pokemon all the more embarrassing considering how bad they look in comparison.

Capcom can go fuck themselves desu

The whole point of the witcher 3 is to wander an open world solving people's monster problems using research, preparation and morally ambiguous choices.

cant wait for RE:2 on Switch

>and if "good graphics" was all your game had going for it, then it's a shit game.
So you mean The Witcher?

>shows PS1 screenshot

same capability as switch

>Devs have literally no excuse not to bring their games to Switch now
Dev kits cost ~$400
That's ridiculous when any Xbox can be used as a devkit for $20 (and for free if you're a student)

>Dev kits cost ~$400

Source?

If true, I'm sure those multimillion AAA devs can manage if shitty indie devs can.

digitaltrends.com/gaming/nintendo-switch-dev-kit/
I believe the price has dropped to $400 since but that's still kinda expensive for indie devs.
Of course it's not an excuse for big devs, but regardless it shouldn't be so expensive to develop games for Switch

I just want Xenoblade X mang

Switch is ps3 level

Switch is FAR more capable than PS3.

Attached: article.webm (893x712, 1.39M)

I wouldn't say FAR more capable. But from what games like darksiders and dragon's dogma showed, you can definitely make games that look better than your average PS3/360 game if you put enough effiort into it. The real problem is if anyone WANTS to put in effort like with Saint row 3 switch and its loading times despite the bigger RAM.

it's such a shame devs dont wanna put the effort to optimzie for the switch. some of these games are perfect for on the go gaming for someone like me that travels 2-3 weeks a month

They haven't had any real excuses since the Switch launch.

Internally developers have been scrambling everywhere to try and justify not supporting the Switch hardware. They've said the hardware is underpowered, that their audience is not on Nintendo, that the Switch needs to prove itself, that cartridges hold their games back. But nothing has stuck.

Yet they're willing to blow millions supporting shit like Google Stadia, which is an almost guaranteed failure. It really needs to be more common knowledge among gamers that third party developers actively try to sabotage Nintendo at every opportunity.

Of course a simplistic normalfag game like Witcher works fine with downgraded graphics. In other words, the graphics are in fact all it had going for it, in terms of how advanced a game it was. The second one ran fine on 360. There are games that actually require memory and processing power like vehicle simulators and 4x strategy games that won't fit on switch.

the thing is that stadia is easy as it's hosted on a server farm with hardware they already know, porting to the switch requries them to put a bit of effort into it. if stadia fails, oh well, uninstall the game from their farm

>Weaker ones
They would be shooting themselves in the fucking face if they did. How can you make the base model even weaker than it is right now? Why would they fragment their playerbase into Weak Switch/Base Switch/Switch Pro making it so WS players can't play {game} because it was specifically made for BS?

I just want FFVII Remake on Switch

the Wii U was like an upgraded PS3, and the Switch is an upgraded Wii U

PS and XBOX did it just fine plus there's that WSJ shit that talks about 2 new versions.

Didn't Capcom specifically have a hand in the Switch's specs to suit them? They have even less of an excuse.

you will get Twin Snakes

Yep. They had Nintendo add more RAM, then ported a bunch of shitty overpriced RE ports to the system.

>The whole point of the witcher 3 is to wander an open world solving people's monster problems using research, preparation and morally ambiguous choices.
The Witcher 3 world is literally Assassins Creed tier copy paste garbage, even the hunting missions. The big thing about Witcher 3 was always the graphics.

0/8

As much as I love the Witcher, I don't give a shit, ALL I WANT IS THE ZELDA LIBRARY ON IT WHAT THE FUCK NINTENDO LET ME GET RID OF MY Wii U ALREADY

TW3 isnt even that demanding.
I think even base xbone can run it at 1080p

it runs at 20fps on the base ps4 and certainly worse on the base xbone. It will probably run at 15fps or less on the switch/.

I have an xbone x so I won’t bother with this. But Nintendo fans that don’t have a PS4,xbone, or pc will want this. And it has the appeal of being portable.

>it runs at 20fps on the base ps4

dude hyperbole lmao

>it's such a shame devs dont wanna put the effort to optimzie for the switch
Because they've already made plenty of bank on the games when they were first released a generation or two ago. No developer in their right mind would put in more than the bare minimum effort for a late-to-the-party port on a niche console

Would be tempted to buy that again

New DBZ game looks like a PS3 game but isn't coming to Switch, but Xbone? What?
