Why do zoomers care so much about games they never played? I see so many young people acting like they love metroid or they love FF7 or whatever, but they almost never have actually played the games. Its like they just all have default tastes based on what they've seen boomer youtubers tell them is good. Like, this fucking FF7 remake, why do any of them care? In fact, why does anyone really care? Its one of the biggest cases of "it was popular because of the marketing" ever, and this remake sounds worse and worse every time its broughtup. Why do people flip the fuck out over it like its anything worth being excited for?

If we're talking FF7 then it's a game that was still enormously popular throughout the 00s so even a lot of zoomers would have surely played it growing up.

Pretty much everything in their generation is just a poor copycat or remake of ours. Even their slang is from highschool 80s movies. They don't really have a choice.
They have access to them. All the big classics are either ported to modern systems or easily accessible with an emulator. Whether they can handle the graphics and have the attention span to play them is another matter.

I already bought Monster energy drinks anyway, but I'm not afraid to admit that the boomer meme got me to try one of the Zero Ultras, and it turned out that they're unironically delicious. They have no sugar so they don't have that syrupy texture of the regular ones, but they also don't have that shitty aspartame after taste you usually get in "diet" soft drinks. Its a very light and refreshing flavour, I basically only buy the "zero" line of monsters now, the light blue one and I think purple one are also nice, but Zero Ultra has easily become my go-to
