Disappointing. Not terrible, but bad in the sense that everything that was changed about the original design is completely unnecessary and detracts more from the design than it adds. The sports bra and thigh-highs in particular are offenders here as adding that much black to the outfit really throws the entire thing off. Tits should've been a bit bigger, too, and in general I think she should've been just a bit thicker. She really looks rail thin in a lot of the shots in the trailer, like even slimmer than Aerith.
Combat looks like it could very easily be shit, which is disappointing since materia was such a fun system to play with. It could turn out alright so long as basic attacks are varied and interesting enough that you aren't just spamming the same thing for the entire game while waiting for your ATB bars to fill up and you can get some core, non-ATB reliant mechanics like dodging/parrying or something but unless they plan on giving you a lot more ATB bars down the line I don't see how materia will be anywhere near as fun as in the original.
And I'm dreading all the new story additions. Square-Enix hasn't made a passable, let alone good, story in ages. Watching them shoehorn in a bunch of extra shit complete with bad voice acting will ruin this remake harder than anything else.
Basically, I'm convinced it will be garbage.
