Nah this game is way too detailed to be Cal Arts-y trash. An important aspect of Cal Arts is that they're trained to use only the default lighting/line weights on their ToonBoom puppeting software. The line weights on this stuff is dynamic, it's got a good amount of detail without being visually busy, and the characters actually have sharp, angular features and detailed limbs. Pic related is what I consider to be quintessential Cal Arts, despite being a parody image. All the lines have the same weight, everything is rounded, the colors are bright and pastel, and the hands don't have any fingers.

I played the demo and liked it. I like how they utilized the time aspect and are making it in conjunction to skills for verifying effects.

It's not though? When you compare it to Calarts which uses more rounded shapes for everything, this style is more detailed and isn't afraid of being sharp at places. The facial proportions has a rather anime style to them.
