Rayman 1 just feels like a game where they set up a really solid level editor and went nuts with it. A Mario Maker/SonicMania equivalent would be really cool. There's probably not much of a demand for it though, unfortunately

On one hand I would love that, but I'm also afraid that they would completely fuck it up, when it comes to the visuals or the audio, especially now that Remi is gone.

Revolution is a shame because it never added more world or levels but just the hubs where you do nothing fun.

And also : The extra bosses suck. The tutorials and the "missions" between levels suck and ruins the pacing. There is no such thing as "extra-characterisation", but everything happening within the hub ruin the dark mood of the game.
And how there are much more combats which are by far the worst part of the game.

The western gaming landscape is fucking bloated with shooters. I'm so sick of them and every single one ubi showed looked EXACTLY the same. I miss when gaming was about fun.

Rayman 4 is basically the new Kingdom Hearts 3 now that that's finally a thing

Even when a game is extremely successful, a strictly superior sequel isn't guaranteed to sell. Even if it does sell, it's not necessarily the most profitable use of resources. For the same time and money they might decide that a cinematic shooter will make more cash.
