please just have a good spiral mountain stage with a lot of good music, and i'd personally like a lot of cameos / content / whatever featuring a lot of BK characters, the way sakurai treated castlevania with love i'd love to see for BK. mumbo mii costume, grunty mii costume / stage hazard / maybe codex. a fun moveset for banjo featuring the talon trot in an interesting way and moves that are reminiscent of the inputs in the original game

I think new Wumba is fine for what they were going for with the art style. The style worked well on some characters, but it went horribly for other characters. The most notable awful designs they did for the game are the ones for Banjo and Kazooie themselves.

Sabi right now is trying to avoid getting sued by Nintendo but they already let the cat out of the bag a few days ago when Shinobi posted. They posted these images to their Discord and when asked, they strongly implied they were from the same source who leaked the Link's Awakening HD last time.
Because it never came out in Japan, and even among the limited Banjo releases it's an extremely obscure title. Even Rare seems to forget about it, since it wasn't referenced at all in Nuts and Bolts and didn't feature in Rare Replay. If they're adding in Banjo, it's to capitalize on N64 nostalgia - they're not going to draw something as major as two transformations from a GBA game that came out in only a select few regions and didn't sell well at all and that most people aren't even aware of.

It didn't release in Japan, and the mobile version of Grunty's Revenge is more obscure than the Wonderswan versions of Mega Man. And again, like you said, it didn't even feature transformations anyway.
Grunty's Revenge is too obscure of a game for something so major to be drawn from. At the very most, I could see them maybe using GR's version of the Pack Whack as his forward smash, but other than that, they're not going to use an entire transformation from that game, let alone two. And if they were adding transformations anyway, then they would definitely use the Bee, since that one was common to both Kazooie and Tooie, but he doesn't include it.

As for DKL, I'm not 100% sold that the belly flop is supposed to be referencing it. Even if it is, though, that's just one small move among dozens of others. It's not like they gave him his fire breath from King of Swing or whatever as a special.
