Thoughts?

Will somehow be worse than Gen 1 Pokemon and will only sell to those who wants nostalgia but will get bore quickly by it.

It actually looks and plays closer to Robopon and Digimon than it does to Pokemon.

Neat ideas with skill trees and Mother style battling, but I can't help but think it only has nostalgia going for it. Impressive that just one guy is developing it though.

If it didn't look the way it did it'd be more interesting for me.
Game Boy Color aesthetic only appeals to a handful of people.
I guess the dev chose it because art isn't their strong suit. Either way, depending on how much it costs I'll get it, it's nice to be able play more monster collectors.

I like it.
Im waiting more for Monster crown though

>I-im about to narwal blast stahr...

Hey, now.
Not everyone is as incompetent as YandereDev.

I don't mind the idea, the mon designs look generic though.
I might like it when i see more.

This looks like it was made in that GB adventure game creator. Yeesh.

>Pokemon clone
>No multiplayer
My thoughts? Garbage and missing the point.

Is sending some data back and forth really such a difficult feat for indiefags? Why do so few indies utilize online multiplayer?

Here's another one.

It sort of looks like the Zelda Oracle games.

Reminds me of those clones I've played as a kid with titles like Pokemon Sapphire or some equivalent. Obviously, the actual Pokemon Sapphire wasn't out yet, but you could easily tell it was some chinese knock off trying to goad people into believing it's related to Red and Blue. Funnily enough, I remember enjoying the game until I got stuck in a dark forest area about 20 minutes in. Wish I could recall enough details to rediscover it again.

added to wishlist

I'll probably pirate it and do a full playthrough. Looks fun enough but definitely not worth more than $20.

>monster from disc
is this monster rancher?

Ironic, I'm starting to miss the time when publishers had a strangehold on the market. Shovelware aside, tt least they didn't pump out a hundred new assetflips a day.

>Japanese/English Audio
Doesn't seem like a clone to me if this game has voice acting, looks comfy and cute tho, and I can't help but like solo nip devs, so I might give it a try.

What is clear he needs a composer. The soundtrack is all over the place. Random sounds don't make up melodies.

designs aren't actually bad

>they got fucking takaki saiko to design a monster
I'm pretty interested in this game.

just like pokemon, some are good many are bad

>store.steampowered.com/app/830370/Monster_Crown/
wait, he used to be around Yea Forums a few times talking about this game he was working on. glad to see he continued. looks different from his first drafts

someone should make an actual digimon monster raiser and multiplayer battler like the toys, it'd be neat for pc

>mfw people are finally trying non pokemon games

SOUL

More like romhackers got tired of Nintendo's shit and are moving to making games from the ground up.

someone needs to make a jade cocoon knock off

many do fakemon games because is very easy to copy with very simple mechanic, there is more work to put visually than programming

This

Why did it take them 10 years to realize this?

Are there any pornographic pokemon games?

Because it only started going downhill with X/Y

because it didn't affect them until now

Looks really ugly.

this looks bad theres literally no reason to play it

>fusing monsters

Why did Demi Kids never take off?

can't be worse than modern Pokemon

Gen 1 is broken shit and Gens 1-3 have fucked up gameplay despite being the only Gens with decent worlds and interesting monsters.

They didn't fully fix the gameplay until Gen 4 (Physical/Special Split) but Gen 4 was boring and lame.

The first actually good Pokémon game was therefore the Gen 2 Remakes.

two pokemon ripoffs look just like another pokemon ripoff? wow

Nobody complained about pre-split before gen 4.

Gt

It's a fucking arm, not a leg

I'm honestly looking forward to this one

tfw I actually prefer pre-gen4 combat mechanics.

that feature was something i liked about YGO dark duel stories/forbidden memories/duelist of the roses becaus they didn't follow the official fusion materials but followed their own logic to create new monster not necessarily official fusion ones
>female monster + rock = Mystical Sand
>dragon + rock = Stone D
>zombie dragon + thunder = twin headed thunder dragon
>beast monster + fiend = chimera the flying mythical beast.

i wish yugioh still continued making games that detached from official rules

>Game Boy Color aesthetic only appeals to a handful of people.
the most based people

Now is probably the perfect time for other devs to try and wriggle into the genre. Game Freak is pushing away more and more people with each new Pokémon installment, a new monster collecting franchise could actually take off if it caught the interest of those disenfranchised people.

The GBC is capable of much better than whatever this shit is.

It's impressive how Game Freak managed to not make a single genuinely bad game from Green until Black/White 2, and how since then they haven't made a single good game. It's a serious reversal.

Diamond and Pearl were complete shit, it took Platinum releasing to fix them

I only ever played Platinum so I can't dispute that. Even so, there was a good Sinnoh game which the same can't be said for Alola

DP had big issues, it ran like dogshit on the DS and even as a kid I noticed it being so slow.

That's a nice pic

Attached: aaaaaa.png (600x600, 226K)

Why the fuck should I run around fetching crummy Disc Creatures, when I can just get a pail of water?

rematch of gym battles and making surf faster were really good features

What are the artistic restrictions? (Sprite sizes, color pallettes, etc).

Attached: guernica.jpg (968x681, 68K)

Fun fact, that's actually just a depiction of a bullfight.
The bombing of Guernica was a big Republican propaganda point when Picasso unveiled it and he gave it the title to capitalize.

>Because it only started going downhill with X/Y
Gen 5 was the first gen that was actually shit though.

you're fucking dumb

Cringe

I'm literally correct. Look it up, just a bit of trivia that a lot of people don't know. Nice painting either way.

>shitty monster designs
How is that different?

Gen 5 was a step in the right direction, but who the fuck knows what happened in gen 6
most ygo games are fun when the official rules are almost non-existent
