It wont, but i'm willing to sacrifice it just for the sake of a modern Flight Sim game that runs smooth and looks good on modern systems.

I wish I could get into flight sims more, I love the idea but I 'm just not patient enough to do it right, and doing them wrong makes you feel horrible

Guys is this going to be an online only game that has to load terrain off the servers? Theres no way it can have that much detail through standart install. Look at x-plane, still looks like ass yet full continents are like 200gb or more.

>All those hours spent landing at St. Maarten airport
FSX was awesome

yes.
that's why it said "modelled with Azure"

it was fantastic but it ran like ass with a few mods loaded.

wow, what the fuck. that mayor must really hate that airport.

>wants to build a park named after his wife
>can't have it anywhere else
>bulldozes airport without telling anyone

am i missing something from this story?

well, if they can pull it off like google maps do, then im okay with it.

Can I go anywhere in the world?
Can I 9/11 my IRL house?

>wait over ten years for new Crimson Skies
>get Microsoft Flight Simulator

fun

Nice trees.

Microsoft has Azure maps just to pull this shit so...

>caring about some random ass trees when you're 30.000 ft in the sky

Meh, they can work on the imperfections and overall I was really impressed by what they showed, assuming the whole game keeps that standard.

>flight simulator on a console
I wonder how they'll pull it up.

shit is so cash if you find a well detailed spot on gmaps....

"In coordination with the re-opening of the field Microsoft will revert its next generation flight sim to default at this location."

YESSSSSSSSSSSS

Also, I must have gotten into FSX too late because I always remember starting in Friday Harbor. Is this why?

>meigs field was shut down in a clandestine operation.

so what? did they illegally do it? i don't think i'm seeing the full picture here.

Yes, they illegally did it without giving the FAA a 30-day notice. He knew nobody except himself wanted the airport closed so he did it anyways to build himself a stupid fucking park and the city only had to pay like $30,000 (max possible by the faa). He also trapped many planes there as they couldnt take off on the ruined runway.

>tfw i'm just a white guy

the mayor had it bulldozered in the middle of the night without applying for a demolition permit or even letting the planes stationed in the airport leave, yeah it was illegal but so are a lot of the things politicians do here lol

>chiraqi
literally the only /pol/thread worth a damn
God bless you

Surely the plane owners would have sued for a lot more than 30k. Transporting planes isn't cheap.

I'm concerned that the whole streaming system is just pushing "games as a service" even more, even saw some post saying it will require a 10 dollar a month Xbox pass... And anyone with a poor connection eg: straya bros or third worlders are fucked

Literally the only game worth buying from E3 so far imo.

$5AUD per month for PC... If it includes all the airport's in really high quality, a large library of planes and multiplayer features it will be pretty good value even if you sub for 3 years. Not to mention the other games you get.

Buying all the HD airports and sceneries for FSX and X-Plane costs thousands

I'm worried about the streaming speed too but if it uses a large cache size and you're running the same flight plans regularly it'll probably load fine. Just don't flip to a new country every 2 minutes or fly SR-71's at 32x sim speed.

Speaking of Flight Sim, anyone else love watching Airforceproud95's trolling videos from it? Even though I don't understand a lot of the flight terms it still somehow makes me crack the fuck up.

I can't wait to fly the U-2

>tfw DCS will never look that good
He's a funny lad.

>microsoft releases a game that people can have fun in + can teach pilots about how to fly a plane
Alright yeah one of the best E3 games/simulators by far
