Gacha shit in Xenoblade

All the blades I get for Rex are healers and all the blades I get on Nia are tanks and attackers. What should I do? I don’t want to waste all my override protocols so early in the game.

For spoiler reasons override protocols become meaningless later in the game.

He should still get some good blades for rex for combo variety and THAT PART

What part of the game are you in?
There are some non-gacha rare Blades that you can use to help fill out your team. Whatever you do, don't overdrive anything to Rex, it really isn't worth it.

What do you mean all blades, you mean like all rare blades?

Use protocols mate, you get like 11 for free, plus in new game you can level down and buy them with your exp. What's the point of the feature being there if you won't use it.

Theres literally no reason to use core crystals on rex

There's a guide to figuring out your game's blade "seed", look it up it should help.

To clarify: override protocols on Rex in particular.

But yeah don't bother giving Rex too many unique blades. He can have Pyra, a story one he gets later and another unique one and you are good to go.

There is also a Blade you gain from a DLC that you can freely switch between everyone.

Yeah if you want to play 80 percent of the game with shit blades on him other than pyra/mythra and roc

Let's not get too hasty here. Rex should get some blades since the plot thingie still requires to get to that point first. If Rex gets gimp too hard, some fights would just be too hard to beat without constant restarts.

Seed?

I just got Nia back and used some rare cores from the dlc because she only had one blade. She got Electra and Finch right after each other, then got Agate. Rex has a bunch of random jobbers, Floren and Ursula.

Isn't that one only available after you go to Mor Ardain though.

>If Rex gets gimp too hard, some fights would just be too hard to beat without constant restarts.
That's outright false. You can still easily beat the game without using rare blades at all.

Does anybody has the beginner pasta, i think its an appropriate time to post it

Its only gacha if there's real money involved in the rolls.

BUT I MUST HOARD MY ITEMS, I MIGHT NEED THEM DURING THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT

Don't worry those rare blades aren't as different from the random jobbers, you will get better strory blades and better gacha blades later on

Only if you know what you are doing. New players would struggle quite a bit with random common blades, especially in the hangar fight where a certain new party member joins, or that annoying triple monkey quest boss in the snow area. Hell, there are some unique enemies that require a bit of optimization to fight.

>pyra/mythra and roc
Good thing thats literally all you need, oh. And an axe

I mean that's all that you need but that's also the minimum and doesn't use the battle system to the fullest

Do you guys think we will get an announcement at e3

Attached: 1559853000056.jpg (1000x1000, 93K)

If you have the DLC, you can go get the Ebullient Core Crystal in Argentum and give it to Nia, it's a really good healer. Other than that, I think the only non-gacha rare you can access at that point is the attacker whose core is sold at the Margia's Odds & Ends shop in Torigoth for 500k (which obviously requires quite a bit of money grinding at the point you're at). Eventually there will be a quest that shows up in Torigoth that'll give you a healer, but you can't finish it until chapter 4.
But for now, I wouldn't worry too much about this stuff. You're still really early on, you're not meant to have more than one or two rare Blades. Use commons to fill out your team if you need to.

No because Nintendo is probably forcing monolith soft to help out with more zelda and bing bing wahoo again

But that's no fun at all assuming you want to stick with using Rex for most of the game. Nothing wrong with using 1-2 overdrive just to have fun with certain blades.

Fist-type healers are basically good enough to be attackers, so use those on Rex. At this point in the game there's nothing wrong with having an attacker blade on Nia. By the time it does matter you'll have a choice of story- or quest-given Rare Blades to choose from.

Well i hope that the studios they opened
with the money monolith made with xenoblade 2 means no more compromising xenoblade games quality for the sake of the 50 zelda game

God have the final bosses in xenoblade always been this waek

That's not a guarantee.
You also have to consider how the talent is going to be distributed. If the veterans who helped make Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade X's worlds so good are all going to be shifted to Zelda from this point and the new hires take over on Xenoblade, there's definitely going to be a decline in quality.

>no more compromising xenoblade games quality
Jesus fuck, you XCX-fags can't really accept the fact that XC2 is just the better game, can you?

Do you guys think that xenogears leak is real

No

Attached: 1560093216783.jpg (960x720, 177K)

You don't have to be a fan of XBX to see how the reduced staff hurt XB2.

What the fuck are you talking about, i like blade 2 more than x but blade 2 could be have been better with more man power and more time, things such as a quality of life improvements, some cut content and an overall more optimized experience could have made the game way more better

Well from what i heard the new staff thats being hired is for the new zelda so i don't think all the veterans are all going for zelda

Because they didn't need that many staff. They're reapplying all the stuff they've learnt from the previous XC games, not learning them from scratch, nevermind the fact they had hired guest artists to help alleviate some of the design process. They had produced so much content, they had to cut shit out, which was later remade into a DLC. That does not sound like they had any sort of production trouble here.

There's a xenogears leak?

lmao post it i wanna read it

Why not seems like the right time to make a souless remake factoring the rising popularity of xeno and square enix lack of money

Don't even worry about it. Rex doesn't need any blades he gets everything from the story, just give enough to have 3 options in the interim and Nia becomes the best healer by story progression anyway. Morag and Zeke are the two you actually want to worry about getting some good blades on.

As much as I hate RNG shit, especially one that exists solely to waste time from a full completion standpoint, it's permissible when they aren't mandatory to progress through the game. Obviously I'd prefer it not exist at all, but what you can do? Lesser of two evils, as they say.

There is some shitty blurred image of the xenogears logo with modern consoles that probably fake, but if i have to guess i would be revealed at square conference, i don't have the image but you are probably gonna see it circulating in other threads

I just wish blade were just available for quest, or maybe you have to kill rare monsters using the blade to steal it away from him

It literally doesn't matter that much. You only need to care for a handful of top-tier blades for postgame content, for which there are enough overdrive protocols to manage amongst your party.

They're hiring new staff for Zelda and Division 1 (the Xenoblade team).
The DLC wasn't extra content they produced and then cut, it was a part of the early story outline that they knew they wouldn't have the time/manpower to finish and stay within the schedule. So they pitched it as DLC instead of including it in the main story like they wanted.

Do anyone actually want to replay the entire Xeno series? The first Gears one was literally unfinished while the Saga series' quality was all over the place, nevermind the fact that they're seperate franchises and owned by different companies now.

It was cut because it wasn't needed. They felt it would have distracted people too much in between the chapters, and as we saw in the DLC, was mostly bland filler.

Not me but i can some people still clinging hope for a remake of a "complete xenogears" and the "the real vision of Takahashi version of xenosaga"

>It was cut because it wasn't needed. They felt it would have distracted people too much in between the chapters
Mind pointing me to where any of this was said?
As for the filler, I don't think that was something that was originally going to be a part of it. Takahashi said they had to 'scale thing up a bit' from the original scenario, I get the impression that the filler came from that.

Good luck trying to convince SE to care about anything else that isn't FF or KH.

If i guess correctly the should increase the quality of zelda and xenoblade

If square isn't stupid (lol) they should give those series a rest i mean fucking Nomura is doing all thos project they can't really on hin forever

In a more serious note how do fuck is square planning to survive if they keep this business plan

>It was cut because it wasn't needed. They felt it would have distracted people too much in between the chapters, and as we saw in the DLC, was mostly bland filler.
Neither of the times Takahashi has talked about the decision to cut it suggest that. And the filler was just added padding to justify selling Torna as a $40 game

>It’s been seven years since the release of Xenoblade Chronicles. We’ve accumulated quite a bit of production knowhow since then, and our process management has improved as well. Now we’re much better at knowing just how big of a game we can create at what level of quality based on a given volume of text.
>After looking at a variety of factors, we could tell that including Torna - The Golden Country in the main game would divert a major portion of the budget and development time we had allotted for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
>We hadn’t shown anyone the prototype yet, and quickly decided against including this content, instead opting to take what we needed for the main game, which became the finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
>For quite some time after that, Torna - The Golden Country slept on my computer’s hard drive, but when we decided to include a new scenario with the Expansion Pass, I knew that we had to revive Torna - The Golden Country and tell that story.

>Takahashi: Well, for Torna - The Golden Country, I can tell you that first off when we were considering this content, we originally planned to sandwich it between the seventh and eighth chapters of the main game. The more we dug into it, however, the more we realized it was a very expansive story we were trying to tell, and it would be too difficult to fit it into the main story, so we approached Nintendo and asked them what we thought should be done. After talking to them we decided we should. You’re probably familiar with Jin from the main game and we had a really important story we wanted to tell about his character and we're using the DLC to do that.

I think I might start over next time I play. I'm sick of trying to summon Kora.
This would be my second major reset.

The main blades are more than enough to finish the game.

Also you shouldnt waste blades on Rex since he can get every blade after some chapters

When you start a game, it randomly picks one of a few lists that dictate how often rare blades drop

How do you know your seed

i played through xc2 twice
on the good side, i only ever pulled healers on nia, attackers on zeke and tanks on morag
on the bad side, i never pulled kos-mos after 250 hours and countless relentless arduran grind sessions. i guess i never will

Do you guys think we could get something for the 2 million mark like playable malos

Attached: 1557089570034m.jpg (724x1024, 90K)

You can get her user you just got it keep trying, i don't have her but i think you can do it

They're done with XC2, user. They are not going to add anything new, save for maybe some new skin, for the game. Any new thing would be better off saved for any future games.

I think the most surefire way is to check your pity Blades. For every Blade you get without a rare, your pity counter goes up until you're guaranteed a preset rare on your next roll or you roll a rare by chance. This works for up to three Blades, then you're on your own. Who did you get early?

Guessing really, but once you know the pity values, just spam common cores until you get a pity blade and then you can see what seed your on when you compare it to the seed chart, which I dont have currently.

The 2 millions threshold will be reached by December which coincide perfectly with a new Smash character

Why are you reseting ?

Honestly, I would've been too salty if Rex got in but didn't have Nia as a blade to switch to

I have zero hope for smash but if it happened it would be nice

Attached: IMG_20190608_144214.jpg (4096x1848, 173K)

I don't remember but so this means this systems can be exploited for 3 easy rare blades?

>rex get in but his only blade is nia
Imagine the shitstorm

Autism, mostly. I also haven't played in months, so it wouldn't be too bad to start over. I've also had way too many failed attempts to summon Kora for my taste. She's decently common on my seed, so I think the playthrough is just cursed.

>Game makes the excuse that Pyra and Mythra are too much like Shulk

Attached: 1520017381370.jpg (1200x675, 82K)

Yes, but they're preset and none of them are gamebreakers or anything.

Well good luck i hope you can get your kora, the blades system is pure luck so stupid scenarios like this are possible but you eventually have to get her

Based Keanu

>Not savescumming

I don't think so.
It's disappointing that he was never added, considering how much demand there was for it.

I spent $2000 on core crystal rolls trying to get kosmos and never got her, I'm pissed.

>being this retarded
Don't pop blades on Rex. Ever. Aim for specific blades on specific character by manipulating their stats.

Rex can use any blade after a certain point in the story.

How he should know that?

Just play. Control Nya since controlling a healer is aids

>after a certain point in the story.
It's in the last 15 hours of the story. There's still an enormous amount of game before that point.
This advice has always been retarded and I'm convinced it's just coming from idiots who didn't use core crystals evenly, went all in on Rex and got screwed over. If you're actually planning on using Rex, there's no reason not to give him a few good Blades, just don't go overboard and fuck over the rest of the party by giving him every single core you get.

It's kinda obvious if it's somehow Rex, it has to be MD Rex and Pneuma.

>Aim for specific blades on specific character by manipulating their stats.

??? How does that work? With the elemental thingie?

Never ever. You're gonna take your fanworks and you're gonna like 'em.

Attached: Dabos.png (1280x720, 576K)

The blade bonding system is dumb as fuck and I hope they never do it again, but
>you can find 3 override protocols on the world and 5 from maxing Driver Affinity
>releasing fully maxed 5-star commons gives them out
>NG+ you can buy them for Bonus EXP
>DLC gives a few more if you bought it
>Rex won't need them later on for story reasons
So it's manageable
But the system is still stupid
I just can't see why the rares can't just be rewards for completing quests or fighting UMs or reaching a secret area
Not just a few, all of them

I never used Roc, Vandham was based, but fuck this gay bird

I use him for Smash on Rex because I refuse to be associated with SAO

Yeah it totally kills any attempt to replay the game. This "luck" stuff is stupid. The game was cool and fun for just 1 time, not gonna deal with this shit anymore.

>Vandham was exceedingly generic
ftfy
Some of his speech on war was pretty interesting, though. It was nice not to just get hit with the usual WAR BAD.

Yeah. Xeno is an easy series in general.

At least the final battle theme is always max kino

Increasing their Elemental Affinity, yes. It's how I managed to drop Kosmos on Zeke.
